Auscultation of respiratory sounds is very important for discovering the respiratory disease. However, there is no quantitative evaluation method for the diagnosis of respiratory sounds until now. It is necessary to develop a system to support the diagnosis of respiratory sounds. In addition, there are few studies using dataset suitable for generating realistic classification models that can be used in clinical sites in algorithm development for automatic analysis of respiratory sounds. We describe the development of an algorithm for the automatic classification of the large-scale respiratory sound dataset used in ICBHI 2017 Challenge as containing crackles, containing wheeze, containing both, and normal. Our approach consists of two major components. Firstly, transformation of one-dimensional signals into two-dimensional time-frequency representation images using short-time Fourier transform and continuous wavelet transform. Secondly, classification of transferred images using convolutional neural networks. In this paper, we apply our proposed method to 920 respiratory sound data, and achieve score of 28[%], harmonic score of 81[%], sensitivity of 54[%] and specificity of 42[%].

The purpose of this research is the construction of the stamp rally system distinguishing with participant"s hand shapes. We have realized by the image processing to distinguish the hand shapes and evaluated accuracy. And we have designed the data communication between the server and the checkpoint.

Bamboo charcoal (BC) powder is prepared from thick bamboo stems via dry distillation and is often used for food coloring. Due to the unique structure of the micropores in bamboo stems, BC powder also serves as an indigestible carrier to prevent the absorption of toxic substances and nutrients from the digestive tract. This study evaluated the health-promoting function of BC, particularly its effects in decreasing visceral adipose tissue in a mouse model with high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity. Four-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were divided into three groups and fed either a low-fat (LF) diet (7% fat), HF diet (25% fat), or HF diet with 0.5% BC (HF-BC). After 80 days, the HF-BC diet was found to have decreased epididymal and mesenteric white adipose tissue weights compared to HFD. The inhibition of visceral fat accumulation by BC intake was partly due to enhanced fecal fatty acid excretion induced by its bile acid-binding and pancreatic lipase inhibition. Contrarily, the gut microbiota, known to influence systemic energy metabolism, did not change significantly between the HF and HF-BC groups. These results indicate that dietary BC inhibits visceral fat accumulation, which could reduce obesity development.

Objective To validate the relationship between residual walking ability and monthly care cost as well as long-term care insurance (LTCI) certification level in elderly patients after surgical treatment for hip fractures in Japan. ethods Elderly patients aged >75 years who underwent surgical treatment for hip fractures in our hospital were included. The pre- and post-surgical (6-month) walking ability and LTCI certification and the presence or absence of dementia was determined from medical records and questionnaires. Walking ability was classified into 6 levels used in our daily medical practice. Based on these data, we correlated the relationship between walking ability and the LTCI certification level. Further, based on the official statistics pertaining to the average monthly costs per person at each LTCI certification level, we evaluated the relationship between walking ability and monthly care cost. Results A total of 105 cases (mean age, 80.2 years; 16 men; 39 patients with dementia) were included. The correlation between walking ability and average monthly cost per person as well as LTCI certification level at 6 months postoperatively (r=0.58) was demonstrated. The correlation was found in both groups with and without dementia. Conclusion The ability to walk reduced the cost of care in elderly patients who experienced hip fracture, regardless of the presence of dementia.

This paper presents a high-frequency ZVS-PWM boost chopper-fed DC-DC converter with a single active auxiliary edge resonant snubber in the load-side which can be designed for power conditioners such as solar photovoltaic generation, fuel cell generation, battery and super capacitor energy storages its principle operation in steady-state is described in addition to a prototype setup. The experimental results of ZVS-PWM boost chopper-fed DC-DC converter proposed here, are evaluated and verified with a practical design model in terms of its switching voltage and current waveforms, the switching V-I trajectory, the temperature performance of IGBT module, the actual power conversion efficiency and the EMI of radiated and conducted emissions. And then discussed and compared with the hard switching scheme from an experimental point of view Finally, this paper proposes a practical method to suppress parasitic oscillation due to the active auxiliary resonant switch at ZCS turn off mode transition with the aid of an additional lossless clamping diode loop, and reduced the EMI conducted emission in this paper.
