In this paper, we give the differential equations characterizing the timelike and spacelike curves of constant breadth in Minkowski 3-space $E^3_1$. Furthermore, we give a criterion for a timelike or spacelike curve to be the curve of constant breadth in $E^3_1$. As an example, the obtained results are applied to the case $\rho$ = const. and $k_2$ = const., and are discussed.

In this study, by using Laplace and normal Laplace operators, we give some characterizations for the Darboux instantaneous rotation vector field of the curves in the Euclidean 3-space $E^3$. Further, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for unit speed space curves to have 1-type Darboux vectors. Moreover, we obtain some characterizations of helices according to Darboux vector.

The drying characteristics of red pepper were examined in convection dryer at a temperature range of 55-70oC with a constant air velocity of 2 m/s. The red peppers were pre-treated with ethyl oleate and citric acid solutions before drying process. Drying process continued until sample moisture fell down to 0.12 kg water/kg d.m. It was observed that drying, rehydration, and color characteristics were significantly influenced by air temperature and pretreatments. Moisture transfer from red peppers was described by applying the Fick’s diffusion model, and the effective moisture diffusivity was calculated. The effective moisture diffusivity ranged from 5.72×10−10 to 1.75×10−9 m2/s for the studied temperature range. The values of activation energy (Ea) were 50.27, 49.21, and 48.45 kJ/mol for control, pre-treated with citric acid, and ethyl oleate,respectively. Drying data was fitted to 4 drying models,and the best models were logarithmic and Page.

In this paper, we define timelike curves in R^4_2 and characterize such curves in terms of Frenet frame. Also, we examine the timelike helices of R^4_2 , taking into account their curvatures. In addition, we study timelike slant helices, timelike B_1-slant helices, timelike B_2-slant helices in four dimensional semi-Euclidean space, R^4_2 . And then we obtain an approximate solution for the timelike B1 slant helix with Taylor matrix collocation method.
