        촉매를 이용한 이산화탄소 고정화 및 고리형 카보네이트 합성반응에 대한 계산화학적 해석

        본 연구에서는 이론화학 또는 분자모델링이라 불리는 계산화학을 기존에 연구된 촉매반응 실험결과를 해석하는 데 접목시켜 보았다. 온실효과의 주범인 이산화탄소를 에폭사이드와 반응을 통해 고정화하고 카보네이트를 생성하는 반응을 선택하였는데 이 반응은 활성화 에너지(55~59 kcal/mol)가 높아 촉매의 사용이 불가피하다. 많은 기존 연구들 중에 ZIF-90/ionic liquid immobilized ZIF-90 (IL-ZIF-90), polystyrene-supported quaternized ammonium salt, KI/KI-glycine, dimethylethanolamine (DMEA)를 촉매로 사용한 경우에 대해 반응의 각 단계를 계산하여 반응의 경로를 예측하고 단계별로 구한 에너지를 바탕으로 에너지도를 구성함으로써 실험결과를 열역학적으로 해석하였다. ZIF-90/IL-ZIF-90과 KI/KI-glycine의 경우는 실험적으로 후자들이 상대적으로 높은 수율을 얻었는데 계산 결과 활성화에너지가 낮아진 이유가 아니라 전자들의 경우 반응 중간체가 높은 에너지를 가져 반응물로 되돌아가는 역반응에 의해 정반응의 진행이 방해를 받은 것으로 밝혀졌다. DMEA를 촉매로 사용하였을 경우는 활성화 에너지를 ~42 kcal/mol로 낮춰줌으로써 금속이나 할로겐염 없이도 촉매의 활성이 잘 일어남을 증명하였다. 폴리스티렌(polystyrene)으로 지지된 quaternized 암모늄염 촉매의 경우 클러스터 가정을 사용하여 계산을 진행하였으며 암모늄염의 -NH기와 에폭사이드의 O 원자 사이의 상호작용의 가능성을 확인할 수 있는 반응경로를 제시하였다. In this study, a computational chemistry methodology called as molecular modeling was been applied to explain several experiment results mechanistically. The reaction chosen for this study was to remove carbon dioxide, known as a primary greenhouse gas, by an epoxide via the carbon dioxide fixation to produce carbonates. This reaction inherently needs the use of catalysts because it has a significantly high activation barrier (55~59 kcal/mol). Among various types of catalysts, we studied in zeolitic imidazolate framework 90 (ZIF-90)/ionic liquid immobilized ZIF-90 (IL-ZIF-90), polystyrene-supported quaternized ammonium salt, KI/KI-glycine, and dimethylethanolamine (DMEA). First, probable reaction pathways were proposed based on calculated energetics by computational chemistry. The energetics was then used for the thermodynamic interpretation on the activity of catalysts. In the case of ZIF-90/IL-ZIF-90 and KI/KI-glycine, IL-ZIF-90 and KI-glycine showed better yields compared to their counterparts. The calculation proposed interesting results that it is not from the lowering of activation energy but from the unstable intermediates of ZIF-90 and KI-glycine. For DMEA, the calculated activation energy was ~42 kcal/mol, much lower than that of the non-catalytic reaction. A possible reaction pathway was located to confirm the interaction between -NH group from ammonium and oxygen from epoxide for polystyrene-supported quaternized ammonium salt.

        직장 카르시노이드 종양에서 Ki-67 발현의 예후적 중요성

        Background/Aims: Rectal carcinoid tumors can be resected with endoscopy, and it is important to assess their prognostic factors. We evaluated the potential of Ki-67 expression as a prognostic factor in rectal carcinoid tumors. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 37 patients with rectal carcinoid tumors who got endoscopic resection from January 2001 to January 2011 at Inje University Seoul Paik Hospital. We analyzed their endoscopic and histologic findings, Ki-67 expression, clinical outcome, and prognosis. Results: The mean age (±SD) of the patients was 56.3±10.7 years, and the male : female ratio was 3.6:1. The mean tumor size was 0.5±0.4 cm, 33 patients showed grade 1 tumors (89.2%) and the average Ki-67 expression was 0.7±1.2%. Thirty five patients underwent endoscopic mucosal resection, and two required endoscopic submucosal dissection. Eight patients had positive margins after resection, but no cases of lymphovascular invasion were identified. The median follow-up duration was 21.4±25.4 months, and no recurrences were observed. Conclusions: In low grade rectal carcinoid tumors which are lack of central depression on colonoscopy, the expression of a molecular marker of malignant potential, Ki-67, was low. Therefore, endoscopic resection seemed to be a safe and effective treatment for these tumors.

        Analysis of KAP1 expression patterns and human endogenous retrovirus Env proteins in ovarian cancer

        Background Human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs) constitute around 8% of the human genome and have important roles in human health and disease, including cancers. Previous studies showed that HERV envelope (Env) proteins are highly expressed in cancer tissues and co-related with cancer progression. KAP1 has been reported to play a key role in regulating retrotransposons, including HERV-K, through epigenetic silencing. Objective The relationship between KAP-1 and HERV Envs expressions was analyzed only in tumor cell lines and has not yet been studied in cancer tissues. In this study, we analyzed the expression patterns and relationship between KAP1 and HERV Env proteins in ovarian cancer tissues. Method The expression patterns of KAP-1 and HERV Env proteins, including HERV-K and HERV-R, were analyzed in ovarian cancer tissue microarrays that contained 80 surgical specimens, including normal ovary and malignant ovarian cancers. Results The expression of HERV-R Env and KAP1 proteins is signifcantly higher in ovarian cancer compared with normal ovary tissues. However, the expression of HERV-K Env did not change signifcantly in cancer tissues. The expression patterns of HERV-K Env and HERV-R Env signifcantly increased in early stages of cancer and KAP1 expression was higher in certain stage and types of cancers. However, the expression of HERV-K Env, HERV-R Env, and KAP1 did not change in diferent age groups. The correlation between the expression of KAP1 and HERV-Env, including HERV-K and HERV-R, was not signifcantly correlated. Conclusions The results of this study showed that there was no signifcant correlation between the expression of KAP1 and HERV Env proteins in ovarian cancer tissues, unlike studies with cell lines in vitro. These results suggest that the actual expression of HERV Env proteins in ovarian cancer tissues may be regulated through various complex factors as well as KAP1.

        The text of the Go1 Gong Ron (骨空論) of the So Moon (素問) was written in the Kap UI Kyung (甲乙經) volume 2 chapter 2 and volume 8 chapter 1. Also it was written in the Tae So (太素) volume 10, 11 and 26. In the Shin Kyo Jung (新校正), they say that it is wriien in the Jeon Won Ki Bon (全元起本) volume 2 and 6. But Wang (王永) interpreted it in volume 16. Also it was introduced in the Ryu Kyung (類經) volume 8, 9, 21 and 22 by Jang Kae Pin (張介賓) in the Myung (明) dynasty. In Go1 Gong (骨空), Gol(骨) means bone and Gong(空) means hole. So Go1 Gong(骨空) means the holes on bone of the human body. A large number of acupuncture points in 12 meridians are located on the holes of bone, and they are playing an important part in the treatment of diseases. In Go1 Gong Ron (骨空論), many points that is choosed when we treat various diseases by acupuncture are mentioned, locations that the holes of bone are distributed in are introduced. So it is called Go1 Gong Ron (骨空論) . This article of the research on the Go1 Gong Ron (骨空論) can be divided into 4 chapters. Summerking the contents of the Go1 Gong Ron (骨空論) in reference to the contents of successive generation note, the contents were as follows. Chapter 1 is about the way to use in treating various diseases what caused by Pung Sa (風??) and deals with the methods of locating acupoints based on a frame. Chapter 2 is written about lines that Conception Vessel (任??), Governer Vessel (????), and Throughfare Vessel (????) pass through, and pathological explanations on the diseases which are belong to those three meridians. The name of each part of the leg and the treatment corresponded to each phase of diseases of the leg are also mentioned in this chapter. Chapter 3 is concretely written about the name and position of the hole on bone of the human body. Chapter 4 deals with moxibustion therapy which we use to treat having an attack of indigestion, being bitten by dog, and feeling cold and heat in turn. Because the ancient men used acupuncture as main treatment of disease, they thought much of acupoint. A large number of acupoints are located on the holes of bone, and are playing an important part in the treatment of diseases. Therefore well understanding of Gol Gong Ron (骨空論) is very important. It is too difficult to understand the Gol Gong Ron (骨空論), because it is written in old Chinese. Consequence of above reason, the writer of this article has researched to find out the exact meaning of that.

        Comparisons of callus formation ratios from seed explants, callus sizes, regeneration ratios from callus and regeneration efficiency for 4 orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) varieties (Three were developed in Korea and one was imported from foreign nation) are as follows; Jangbeol 102 (67.0%) has the highest callus formation ratio in 4 weeks incubated callus after bedding the seed explants, but Potomac (68.4%) has the highest ratio in 6-seek callus. Potomac (3.93cm) has the highest callus size in 4-week callus, but Jangbeol 101 (4.32cm) has the highest size in 6-week callus. Jangbeol 101 (17.7%) has the highest plant regeneration ratio in 4-week callus, but Potomac (37.4%) has the highest raion in 6-week callus. Jangbeol 102 (11.5%) has the highest plant regeneration efficiency in 4-week callus, but Potomac (25.6%) has the highest efficiency in 6-week callus.

This study intend to furnish data which can be applied to assessment of permitted dose and description of notice, investigating literatures about functionality related to control of gastrointestinal function and establishment of intake for these dietary fibers.

        담낭암 발생에서 담췌관합류이상의 역할 규명과 암화과정에 관한 연구

        Baekground/Aims: To clarify the careinogenesis of gallbladder cancer (GBC) in patients with anomalous pancreaticobiliary ductal union (APBDU), we investigated the expression of mutated p53 protein and c-erbB2, the cell proliferation indices of Ki-67 and the histopathologic changes in gallbladder carcinoma and noncaneeraus mucosa which are associated with APBDU. Methods: In the clinical review, we analysed 62 patients (27 patients of GBC with APBDU and 35 patients of GBC without APBDU) who were diagnosed in Sevrance Hospital from January, 1992 to December, 1994. Immunohistochemical staining and histologic examination were performed on the specimens obtained from surgically resected gallbladders from the patients. For comparative study, the specimens were grogped as follows: 5 cases of carcinoma with APBDU, 4 eases of noneancerous mucosa with APBDU associated with GBC, 11 cases of noncancerous mucosa with APBDU not associated with GBC, 19 cases of carcinoma without APBDU and 7 cases of chronic inflammatory mucosa of gallbladder stones as controls. Results, GBC developed in 33.3% of patients with APBDU (especially, 66.7% of PC type) and showed no gallbladder stones. The frequency of papillary carcinoma was higher and depth of invasion was less in GBC with APBDU than in GBC without APBDU. Among 15 cases of noncancerous mucosa with APBDU, isolated dysplasia and adenomyomatous hyperplasia were noted in 10 cases and 4 cases, respectively. In one case of APBDU with GBC, the expression of p53 protein was noted in the focal area of low grade dysplasia. Cell proliferation indices of Ki-67 were stepwise increased with the progression of histologic findings from inflammation, papiUary hyperplasia, metaplasia and adenomyomatous hyperplasia to dysplasia. Particularly, remarkable increase was observed in adenomyomatous hyperplasia and dysplasia. Conclusions: The high incidence of isolated dysplasia and adenomyoma accompanying with increased cell proliferative indices seems to be closely related to th carcinogenesis of GBC in patients with APBDU. Additionally, the mutation of p53 may contribute to early event of carcinogenesis in some patients with APBDU.

        경기만 근해에서 풍파의 특성 변화

        본 연구에서는 경기만 근해 - 격렬비도와 덕적도 해역을 중심으로 - 에서 관측된 파랑 및 바람자료를 이용하여 바람과 파랑의 상호작용을 연구하였다. 2005년 1월에서 12월의 덕적도 부이 관측자료를 바탕으로 바람에 의한 파랑의 발생과 또 발생된 파랑에 의한 바람의 감쇄효과를 계산하였으며, 2005년 3월 19-26일과 5월 23-28일에 격렬비도 근해에서 관측된 자료를 이용하여 파랑이 발달할 때와 잔잔한 상태가 유지 될 때를 나누어 파랑 스펙트럼의 반응형태를 알아보았다. 또한, 시간에 따른 스펙트럼의 형태, 최대 에너지 주파수, 평형 영역의 기울기 등도 분석하였다. 관측풍속 $5-10ms^{-1}$의 범위에서 파랑에 의한 풍속의 감소는 최대 $2ms^{-1}$(응력${\sim}0.1Nm^{-2}$)를 보였고, $10-15ms^{-1}$일 때는 $3ms^{-1}$(응력${\sim}0.4Nm^{-2}$)의 차이를 보였다. 풍속과 파고의 상관분석에서도 관측풍속과 파고의 영향을 고려한 풍속(참풍속)의 경우 선형적인 상관도가 0.71에서 0.75로 약 0.04 정도 상승하였다. 잔잔한 상태에서 파랑이 발생할때 초기에는 4-5초의 단주기 파랑이 형성되고 발달과정을 거치면서 9-10초 주기의 장주기로 이동하며, 최대 에너지 주파주는 일정한 값을 유지하게 된다. 이 상태에 도달하는데 소요되는 시간은 약 6-7시간 정도였다. 또한 스펙트럼의 평형 영역 기울기는 파랑발생 초기에는 변화폭이 존재하나 풍파가 발달하면서 약 4.11의 값으로 접근하였다. 파랑 스펙트럼의 주파수대별 시간 변동과 마찰 속도와의 상관성에 있어 파랑 스펙트럼의 최대 에너지 주파수대 부근에서 높은 상관성을 보이는 경향을 보였으며 0.3 Hz와 0.35 Hz 에서 평균 0.80과 0.82 상관도를 보였다. The wind-wave interaction around the Kyung-gi Bay, Korea, was studied using the observed data from ocean buoy at DeuckJeuck-Do from Jan. to Dec., 2005, and from waverider data at KeuckYeulBee-Do on Mar. 19-26 and May 23-28, 2005. Wind-driven surface waves and wave-driven wind speed decrease were estimated from the ocean buoy data, and the characteristics of wave spectrum response were also investigated from the waverider data for the wave developing and calm stages of sea surface, including the time series of spectrum pattern change, frequency trend of the maximum energy level and spectrum slope for the equilibrium state range. The wind speed difference between before and after considering the wave effect was about $2ms^{-1}$ (wind stress ${\sim}0.1Nm^{-2}$) for the wind speed range $5-10ms^{-1}$ and about $3ms^{-1}$ (wind stress ${\sim}0.4Nm^{-2}$) for the wind speed range $10-15ms^{-1}$. Correlation coefficient between wind and wave height was increased from 0.71 to 0.75 after the wave effect considered on the observed wind speed. When surface waves were generated by wind, the initial waves were short waves about 4-5 sec in period and become in gradual longer period waves about 9-10 sec. For the developed wave, the frequency of maximum energy was showed a constant value taking 6-7 hours to reach at the state. The spectrum slope for the equilibrium state range varied with an amplitude in the initial stage of wave developing, however it finally became a constant value 4.11. Linear correlation between the frictional velocity and wave spectrum for each frequency showed a trend of higher correlation coefficient at the frequency of the maximum energy level. In average, the correlation coefficients were 0.80 and 0.82 for the frequencies 0.30 Hz and 0.35 Hz, respectively.
