We define the concepts of the first and the second module dual of a Banach space X. And also bring a new concept of module amenability for a Banach algebra ${\mathcal{A}}$. For inverse semigroup S, we will give a new action for ${\ell}^1(S)$ as a Banach ${\ell}^1(E_S)$-module and show that if S is amenable then ${\ell}^1(S)$ is ${\ell}^1(E_S)$-module amenable.

In this research, TiAl3layers with different thicknesses were deposited on a titanium sheet by immersion of titanium in moltenaluminum for different times. The oxidation behavior of the coated titanium at 850 °C was investigated and the comparisonof the results was made with the oxidation behavior of the uncoated titanium sheet. The results showed that the producedTiAl3layer could protect the titanium substrate against the oxidation if it contains an appropriate quality and morphology, otherwise not only it cannot withstand the oxidation, but also it accelerates the oxidation process of the titanium substrate. The protection mechanisms of the layers were probed into, performing the XRD analysis. It was found that the TiAl3layermorphology affects oxidation mechanism and oxidation products.

We define the concepts of the first and the second module dual of a Banach space $X$. And also bring a new concept of module amenability for a Banach algebra $\mathcal{A}$. For inverse semigroup $S$, we will give a new action for $\ell^1(S)$ as a Banach $\ell^1(E_S)$-module and show that if $S$ is amenable then $\ell^1(S)$ is $\ell^1(E_S)$-module amenable.

Study Design: Retrospective study. Purpose: To evaluate the effect of bracing on spinopelvic rotation and psychosocial parameters in adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). Overview of Literature: Complex three-dimensional deformity in AIS is proposed to influence the spinopelvic parameters and psychosocial condition in adolescents; however, few studies have quantitatively evaluated these parameters. Methods: Thirty AIS who were prescribed a brace were included in the study. The patients’ standing postero-anterior and total spine radiographs were used to measure the primary curve Cobb angle, vertebral rotation, and pelvic rotation. Apical vertebral rotation (AVR), upper AVR, and lower AVR were measured using the Nash-Moe method. Pelvic rotation was determined using the left-to-right hemi-pelvic width ratio. The curve pattern was classified as per the Lenke classification system. In all, 14 patients had a type I curve, five had type II, six had type III, one had type IV, and four had type V curves. Brace compliance was subjectively evaluated by interviewing the patients and their parents. The health-related quality of life (HRQOL) and stress level of the recruited patients were assessed using the Brace Questionnaire and Bad Sobernheim Stress Questionnaire, respectively. Results: The Cobb angle significantly decreased with at least 6 months of brace use. AVR correction changed significantly; however, no such results were observed for upper and lower AVR. Pelvic rotation and psychosocial parameters were not significantly affected by brace use. No statistically significant correlation was observed between brace compliance and curve correction. Conclusions: The Cobb angle and AVR are crucial measurements that help evaluate the treatment efficacy in AIS with small curves who undergo brace treatment. HRQOL and pelvic axial rotation are not influenced by the brace treatment.

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to compare the coronal bone level and patient satisfaction in 1-implant and 2-implant assisted mandibular overdentures. MATERIALS AND METHODS Twenty patients who had maladaptive mandibular dentures were treated in this study. Patients were randomly divided into two groups. The first group received 1 implant (Simple line II, Implantium, South Korea) in their mandibular midline and the second group received 2 implants in their B and D regions (according to Misch's category). If the primary stability of each implant was at least 60 ISQ, ball attachment was placed and denture relined with soft liner. After 6 weeks, retentive cap incorporated with hard acrylic resin. In the 6 and 12 months recalls, periapical digital radiograph were made and visual analogue scale questionnaires were used to record patient satisfaction. The Friedman test was done for comparing the presurgical and postsurgical parameters in each group and the U-Mann Whitney test (P<.05) was done for comparison of post-treatment results between the two groups. RESULTS All implants achieved sufficient primary stability to be immediately loaded. Patient satisfaction was high, and there were no significant differences between two groups (P>.05). In addition, mean marginal bone loss was 0.6 ± 0.67 mm in the first group and 0.6 ± 0.51 mm in the second group, after 12 month. Mean marginal bone loss showed no significant differences between two groups. CONCLUSION This preliminary one-year result indicated that mandibular overdentures anchored to a single implant can be a safe and cost-effective method as a starting step for implant-overdenture treatment.

This paper reports a numerical study on the possibility of using high temperature air combustion (HiTAC)technique in the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) boiler of the Fajr Petrochemical Complex, Iran. For this purpose a theoretical fuel nozzle which operates in HiTAC mode of combustion has been installed and modeled using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technique. By aim of establishing an efficient heat transfer rate to the boiler’s tubes, the proper nozzle location and an optimum mass flow rate of fuel have been found. The results show that by using this modification it is possible to increase the steam temperature up to 37 percent.
