        만초니 우모리즈모의 이면: 이성적 연민의 생성

        본고에서는 이탈리아 낭만주의 대표 작가 알레산드로 만초니의 『약혼자들』에 나타난 우모리즈모의 특징을 살펴본다. 본격적인 분석에 앞서 만초니가 두 편의 비극을 집필할 당시까지만 해도 단호히 부정한 바 있는 희극적 요소와 비극적 요소의 혼용 가능성을 인정하게 된 배경을 알아보기로 한다. 이어서 우모리즈모의 생성 기제를 크게 세 가지 즉, ‘반어, 상황적 웃음유발, 인간의 나약함 조명’으로 나누어 분석함으로써 그 궁극적인 효과를 알아보고 그에 따른 윤리 교육적 의미를 탐구하고자 한다. 만초니는 당대의 보편적인 기법을 자신의 작품 속에서 특수하게 녹여내는 탁월한 능력을 지닌 작가이다. 자신만의 특색에 엄격한 종교적 성향을 보이는 보쉬에나 파스칼이나, 몰리에르, 또는 회의적인 우모리즈모를 내세운 볼테르의 영감을 받은 사회 풍자적인 요소를 가미한 우모리즈모를 탄생시켰다. 만초니 작품 속 우모리즈모의 가장 핵심적인 특징이라고 한다면 어떠한 신랄한 독설이나 무의미한 웃음 없이 인간의 본성을 꼬집고 도덕적 성찰을 적극적으로 유도한다는 것이다. 독자는 등장인물들의 부도덕함이나 결점들을 보고 자신을 돌아보고 성찰하는 기회를 얻게 된다. 만초니의 우모리즈모는 인간 내면에 자리 잡고 있는 윤리적 심리 상태의 발전 양상을 묘사하는데 최적화된 역할을 하고 있음을 도출할 수 있다. This study aims to find out the ultimate effect obtained by analyzing the techniques and characteristics of umorismo appearing in Manzoni's The Betrothed and to explore the meaning of ethics education. I analyze the mechanism of creation of Manzoni's umorismo by dividing it into three major categories: 'Irony, situational humour, human weakness', and examine the effects and ultimate intentions created by them. The comical element is related to the human weaknesses. Manzoni mentions about human greed in a serious and critical tone, while the habits, behaviors and speech that stem from human weakness such as fear and vanity are described in a comic tone. It is intended to induce 'rational compassion', not ridicule. Manzoni used the term 'rational compassion' to describe the inevitable moment when human weakness is revealed in his Osservazioni sulla morale cattolica. The message, “Everyone's weaknesses deserve generous compassion,” was embodied through The Betrothed. The most important characteristic of Manzoni's umorismo is that it pinches human nature and actively induces moral reflection without any biting remarks or meaningless laughter. Readers have the opportunity to look back and reflect on themselves, seeing the immoralities or flaws of the characters. As a result, Manzoni's umorismo has an important characteristic of leading the reader through mental self-reflection.

        조선통신사 유네스코 세계기록유산을 활용한 역사문화콘텐츠 원형복원 사례연구

        한일 평화 교류의 상징인 조선통신사 관련 기록물이 유네스코 세계기록유산으로 한일 공동등재 되어 인류의 소중한 문화유산이 되었다. 등재를 주도한 부산의 경우 역사적으로 한일 교류의 거점도시로서 조선통신사는 도시의 소중한 문화자산이다. 세계기록유산 등재 후 기록물의 보존을 넘어 활용을 통해 가치를 확산해야하는 과제를 부여 받고 있다. 기록물의 활용을 통해 유산이 가지는 성신교린이라는 인류 보편적 가치를 세계인이 공유할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 한일 공동등재 기록물 중 행렬도, 선단도, 마상재 관련 기록물의 현황과 그림자료를 분석하여, ‘보존의 기록물’이 조선통신사 행렬 복원, 통신사선 항해, 마상재 재현이라는 문화 콘텐츠를 통해‘활용의 기록물’로 역할하게 되는 방안을 제시한다. 이러한 조선통신사 주요 기록물의 원형 복원은 新조선통신사로 태어나 미래지향적 한일관계 개선의 새로운 미래를 제시 할 것이다. Joseon Tongsinsa, a symbol of peaceful relations by overcoming conflicts and warfare between Korea and Japan from the 17th to 19th Century, is significant cultural heritage for mankind and the documents have been jointly registered as a UNESCO Memory of the World by both countries. In the case of Busan city, leading the registration process, Joseon Tongsinsa has historically been a priceless cultural asset for Korea-Japan exchange. The task of not only well preserving the documents but also utilizing the records and archives of the UNESCO Memory of the World is to spread its value, significance and authenticity. Through the use of the archives, people around the world need to share the universal value of human beings, which is the peaceful relationships between neighbouring countries. In the respect, this study analyzes the inscribed painting documents, focusing on the journey of Joseon Tongshinsa such as the parade and sailing, Masangjae, the horse riding performance, and provides a perspective of the documents of utilization through the reenacting cultural contents. The restoration of the key records of Joseon Tongshinsa envoys will suggest a new future for improving future-oriented relations between Korea and Japan

        Estimation of Tire Forces using Vehicle Linear Accelerations and Yaw Rate

        This paper describes the estimation method of tire forces by using vehicle accelerations and yaw rate. The tire forces estimated here are front traction and front/rear lateral forces, which are essential for vehicle yaw dynamics. The proposed method are based on a well-known bicycle model of a front wheel drive vehicle. Therefore, this paper first reviews in detail a bicycle model for vehicle yaw dynamics focusing on linearization. Even with all of its simplicity and robustness, the bicycle model has errors in the yaw rate and aligning moment with the measurements, owing to the assumptions used for linearization. In particular, the estimation method using vehicle accelerations and yaw rate in this paper can predict the tire forces neglecting the complicated nonlinearity of the tire itself by installing an acceleration transducer in the vehicle. In order to assure its feasibility, several simulations have been performed and the results have been compared with the MF tire model and the cornering stiffness model. The performances in practice have been validated by comparing the experimental results of installing a tri-axial acceleration transducer and six-component wheel force transducers in the vehicle. Finally, the simulation and test results showed reliable performances for vehicle applications.

      • Mechanical properties and microstructural analysis for finite element modeling of Clad piping process

        In this study, mechanical properties and microstructure analyses on the corrosion resistance alloy (CRA) clad plate are conducted for the use of finite element modeling of JCOE piping process. The s teel plate consists of thick carbon steel and thin stainless steel as clad sheet. First, the basic plasticity properties of both constituent materials are measured using the standard mechanical testing, which can be modeled through conventional or advanced elastic-plasticity constitutive models. Then, as additional critical mechanical properties, the interfacial mechanical behavior at bonding surface between carbon steel and stainless steel is analyzed using a lab-scale T peel test and single lap shear test, which dominantly present the normal and tangential delamination at the interface. For the identification of the interface mechanical properties, a hybrid experimental-numerical approach adopting finite element simulations with the cohesive zone model is employed. Additionally, microstructure analysis base d on microscopy, EBSD etc. is also conducted to investigate the effect of microstructure near clad interface on the mechanical behavior of the clad plate.

        목맴 시도로 인한 목 구조물의 복합골절 이후 발생한 연하곤란을 호소하는 환자: 증례 보고

        Although hanging is the most common method of suicide in Korea, there are few reports of dysphagia following laryngeal injuries due to near-hanging. This is a case report of a patient who complained of dysphagia after a complex fracture of the neck structures caused due to attempted suicide by hanging. A 51-year-old male visited our hospital with neck injuries after a near-hanging episode. Laryngoscopy suspected dislocation of the right arytenoid cartilage. A computed tomography (CT) scan revealed fractures of the right hyoid bone and thyroid cartilage, as well as soft tissue emphysema. A closed reduction for the dislocation of the right arytenoid cartilage was performed. After surgery, oral feeding was attempted five days after surgery but stopped due to a large amount of aspiration. After two weeks, a videofluoroscopic swallowing study (VFSS) revealed a decreased laryngeal elevation and severe impairment of the upper esophageal sphincter opening. The patient was then given rehabilitation for oropharyngeal dysphagia to restore swallowing function. Four months after the injury, VFSS showed that the residue in the pyriform sinus after multiple swallowing attempts decreased compared to the previous studies. However, oral diet and enteral feeding were combined due to the patient experiencing early fatigue due to swallowing difficulties. Our observations, in this case, show that it was necessary to provide treatment through a multidisciplinary approach coupled with long-term follow-up for patients with dysphagia after complex fractures by near-hanging.

        A New Model to Predict Effective Elastic Constants of Composites with Spherical Fillers

        In this study, a new model to predict the effective elastic constants of composites with spherical fillers is proposed. The original Eshelby model is extended to a finite filler volume fraction without using Mori-Tanaka’s mean field approach. When single filler is embedded in the matrix, the effective elastic constants of the composite are computed. The composite is in turn considered as a new matrix, where new single filler is again embedded in the matrix. The predicted results by the present model with a series of embedding procedures are compared with those by Mori-Tanaka, self-consistent, and generalized self-consistent models. It is revealed through parametric studies such as stiffness ratio of the filler to the matrix and filler volume fraction that the present model gives more accurate predictions than Mori-Tanaka model without using the complicated numerical scheme used in self-consistent and generalized self-consistent models.

        Different Energy Transfer Behavior of Poly(9-vinylcabazole) and Polyfluorene Derivative Thin Films upon Doping with Triplet Emitters

        To understand the exact phosphorescent dopant-induced photoluminescence (PL) properties of photoactive thin films consisting of a -conjugated polymer matrix and a triplet dopant, we prepared two types of polymer, poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) and poly[9,9-bis(2-ethylhexyl)fluorene- 2,7-diyl] (PF2/6) doped with triplet emitters for organic light-emitting diodes (OLED), either iridium(III)fac-tris(2-phenylpyridine) (Ir(ppy)3) or iridium(III)bis[(4,6-fluorophenyl)-pyridinato-N,C2’]picolinate (FIrpic), as thin films by using the conventional spin coating method. Those doped films, as well as pristine films, on quartz substrates were characterized by means of UV-Vis absorption, and PL and PL excitation (PLE) spectroscopy for a wide spectral range. To verify the precise effects upon the doping, we prepared and characterized dilute solution samples in order to compare them with the solid samples. We found that the facility of exciton migration from the matrix to the dopant and the subsequent triplet emission were significantly pronounced in the PVK-based blended systems. At the same time, the PF2/6 blended systems showed an efficient PL quenching upon doping, although the PL maxima of the PVK and the PF2/6 as thin films were virtually identical.

        Minimum Energy Control of an S-CVT Equipped Power Transmission

        This article deals with a minimum energy control law of S-CVT connected to a dc motor. The S-CVT can smoothly transit between the forward, neutral, and reverse states without any brakes or clutches, and its compact and simple design and its relatively simple control make it particularly effective for mechanical systems in which excessively large torques are not required. And such an S-CVT equipped power transmission has the advantage of being able to operate the power sources in their regions of maximum efficiency, thereby improving the energy efficiency of the transmission system. The S-CVT was intended to primarily for use in small power capacity transmissions, thus a dc motor was considered here as the power source. We first review the structure and operating principles of the S-CVT, including experimental results of its performance. And then we describe a minimum energy control law of S-CVT connected to a dc motor. To do this, we describe the results of an analysis of the dynamics of an S-CVT equipped power transmission and the power efficiency of a DC motor. The minimum energy control design is carried out via B-spline parameterization. And we show numerical results obtained from simulations illustrate the validity of our minimum energy control design, benchmarked with a computed torque control algorithm for S-CVT.<br/>
