Robust Adaptive Precision Position Control of PMSM
Jongsun Ko,Sunghwan Ko,Yungchan Kim 전력전자학회 2006 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.6 No.4
A new control method for precision robust position control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented. In direct drive motor systems, a load torque disturbance directly affects the motor shaft. The application of the load torque observer is published in using a fixed gain to solve this problem. However, the motor flux linkage cannot be determined precisely for a load torque observer. Therefore, an asymptotically stable adaptive observer base on a deadbeat observer is considered to overcome the problems of unknown parameters, torque disturbance and a small chattering effect. To find the critical parameters the system stability analysis is carried out using the Liapunov stability theorem.
User Needs for Haptic Communication of VR Fashion Product Shopping
( Jongsun Kim ),( Jisoo Ha ) 한국의류산업학회 2019 한국의류산업학회지 Vol.21 No.4
Non-contact judgment and evaluation for products are increasingly needed along with a rapid environmental change in fashion that sows urgency in the need to implement services that allows users to judge and experience a tactile sense in a fashion product without actual contact. Technological development is required to provide users with syn-aesthetic experiences that integrate the visual, tactile and the auditory. There is also a need to conduct research to increase immersion that provides users with ICT-related experiences communicated through fashion images. The study analyzed demands for haptic communication technology by Korean users in immersive VR fashion product shopping. Accordingly, it defined haptic communication through literature research, investigated immersion in the VR environment and conducted in-depth interviews for haptic communication applicable to VR shopping. Findings show that hedonic reactions by fantasy, emotion and fun function are an important motive in selecting VR shopping. VR fashion product shopping steps were divided into 4: move to store, search in store, search of product and purchase based on offline store shopping experience. It defined the haptic communication by steps and analyzed the types of the haptic feedback to be implemented. The study results provide basic data for developing haptic communication technology that can enhance e a sense of the presence and immersion experiences that can help lay a groundwork for pilot studies on the convergence of the virtual and the real.

Scopulariopsis brevicaulis is a widely distributed soil fungus known as a common saprotroph of biodegradation. It is also an opportunistic human pathogen that can produce various secondary metabolites. Here, we report the first complete mitochondrial genome sequence of S. brevicaulis isolated from air in South Korea. Total length of the mitochondrial genome is 28,829 bp and encoded 42 genes (15 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNAs, and 25 tRNAs). Nucleotide sequence of coding region takes over 26.2%, and overall GC content is 27.6%. Phylogenetic trees present that S. brevicaulis is clustered with Lomentospora prolificans with presenting various mitochondrial genome length.
An All-digital Delay-locked Loop using a Lock-in Pre-search Algorithm for High-speed DRAMs
Jongsun Kim 대한전자공학회 2017 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.17 No.6
A new harmonic-free, fast-locking, all-digital delay-locked loop (DLL) that uses a lock-in pre-search (LPS) algorithm is presented for DDR3 and DDR4 SDRAMs. By adopting a new LPS algorithm that changes the propagation delay of the course delay line (CDL) with five delay steps, the DLL is able to find the approximate locking point before the normal operation. The DLL then performs a binary search and a sequential search to achieve fast locking without the harmonic lock problem. Fabricated in a 0.13-μm CMOS process, the simple digital DLL architecture achieves a wide frequency range of 0.15-to-2.2 GHz and a measured peak-to-peak clock jitter of 7 ps at 2.2 GHz. It achieves a maximum locking time of 52 clock cycles, consumes 3.1 mW at 1 GHz from a 1.2 V supply, and occupies an active area of 0.046 mm².
S-672 Mycoplasma pneumoniae-associated Fuchs syndrome
( Jongsun Yeom ),( Cheol-hong Kim ),( In-gyu Hyun ),( Jeong-hee Choi ) 대한내과학회 2016 대한내과학회 추계학술대회 Vol.2016 No.1
Background: Fuchs syndrome is a rare and atypical variant of Stevens-Johnson syndrome with prominent mucocutaneous involvement without skin lesions.?Mycoplasma pneumoniae?infection was frequently associated with Fuchs syndrome in children. However, there has been only one report of?M. pneumoniae-associated Fuchs syndrome in a boy in Korea. Here, we report a case of?M. pneumoniae-associated Fuchs syndrome in an adult.?Case: A 26-year-old Indonesian woman was admitted with pain in oral cavity for 1 week. She had had fever and nonproductive cough a week before admission. Oral mucosa and lips covered with erosive and ulcerative lesions with serofibrinous exudates. Conjunctivae were hyperemic with mild discharge. Lt vaginal vulva showed ulcerative lesion on gynecologic examination. Macular lesions were scattered on the trunk and both arms and hands. Chest X-ray and chest computed tomography showed pleural effusion and subsegmental atelectasis on both basal lungs. Initial complete blood counts and biochemical analyses were normal. Serum IgM antibodies to?M. pneumoniae?was positive. Serology tests to HSV, EBV and CMV were all negative. We started systemic glucocorticoids (methylprednisolone, 1 mg/Kg, IV) and antibiotics (levofloxacin, IV) with topical steroids and dressing for stomatitis, conjunctivitis, and vulvovaginal ulcer. About 10 days after treatment, the patients recovered almost completely without any sequelae and was discharged.?Conclusions: Fuchs syndrome is a rare variant of Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Physician should recognize the characteristic features for early diagnosis of the syndrome.
Multiple Bit Encodings of Multilayer Porous Silicon
Jongsun Park,Honglae Sohn,Sungdong Cho,고영춘 한국물리학회 2007 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.50 No.3
Photonic crystals containing the rugate structure result in a mirror with high reflectivity in a specific narrow spectral region and are prepared by applying a computer-generated pseudo-sinusoidal current waveform. Strategies to encode multiple rugate structures have been investigated. Multiple rugate structures can be etched on a silicon wafer and placed in the same physical location, showing that many sharp spectral lines can be obtained in the optical reflectivity spectrum. The method used to generate multiple rugate structures containing all the encoding information displays five rugate peaks corresponding to each of the sine components from 0.16 to 0.24 Hz, with a spacing of 0.02 Hz between each sine component. The complete deletion of a peak has been achieved and demonstrates the capacity of this method to create binary codes. The free-standing rugate porous silicon has been treated with the solution PMMA to produce composite materials which are highly flexible at room temperature. They display significantly improved mechanical stability and no apparent degradation in their optical reflectivity properties upon flexing. The spectral feature is shifted to longer wavelengths, indicating that the polymer has infiltrated the pores of the porous silicon matrix. The composites are stable in aqueous HF or alkaline (3 M KOH) solutions for several days without apparent degradation.
