Insulin-like Growth Factor가 치주인대세포의 증식에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구

Insulin-like Growth Factor(IGF-I) has the potent chemotactic and proliferative effect on preosteoblasts and hematocytes. There were many researches on bone cells, but now there are insufficient data of the effect of IGF-I on the periodontal ligament(PDL) cells. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of IGF-I on the PDL cells. Human PDL cells were prepared from the first premolar tooth extracted for the orthodontic treatment and were cultured in DMEM/10% FBS at a CO_2 incubator(37℃). The concentrations of IGF-I were as follows: 3ng/㎖, 6ng/㎖, 12ng/㎖, 25ng/㎖, 50ng/㎖, 100ng/㎖ and 150ng/㎖. In the IGF-I group, cell numbers were estimated by counting cells under the microscope at 2 days after. Protein determination was made by the method of Lowry et al. The observed results were as follows: 1. The IGF-I group showed the concentration-dependent increase of cell numbers at 2 days after. IGF-I stimulated significantly PDL mitosis at all concentrations. 2. The maximum effect of PDL proliferation was observed at the concentration of 25ng/㎖ IGF-I. Its effect was about twofold than that of the control group. At that concentration, cell numbers were(12.28±1.10)×10^4cell/㎖ 3. Protein contents of PDL cells was increased in all experimental groups and the degree of increase in protein contents was highest at concentration of 25ng/㎖ IGF-I
정상인과 혈액질환 환자에서의 혈소판 평균용적치에 관한 연구

Molphologic study of platelet have been done by many authors for the past years, they investigated that the heterogeneity of platelet size was shown even in normal person and various hematologic disorder. In the past the platelet size was not utilized in clinical medicine because of its technical difficulties of measuring. Recently, and automated blood cell counter, Coulter counter Model Splus Ⅱ®, was introduced and platelet size could be easily gained, which expressed by mean platelet volume(MPV). Therefore, this study was planned to evaluated the clinical significance of MPV in health person and various hematologic disease. The following results were obtained: 1. In healthy person, MPV was decreased along with increasing the platelet number. 2. In thrombocytopenic patients, MPV was decreased more than normal. 3. In various hematologic disease, MPV was decreased in acute leukemia, marrow failure and aplastic anemia, normal in iron deficiency. anemia, increased in reactive marrow, MPV was varied by platelet number in various hematologic disease. This disclosed that MPV was related with marrow function and production of megakaryocytes. From these results, MPV could be used as a valuable parameter in the evaluation of platelet together with measuring the platelet number. Particular relation-ship between MPV and various hematologic disease were not observed. We should be more study for MPV.

It is so far suggested from the results of investigation on the changes of quality during the freezing storage of shrimp and swell fish that increasing of VB-N, TMA rapidly break down, increasing of Coliform MPN and decreasing of concentration of pigment mainly in the early stage of storage. In this paper, the raw material used for experimental sample after soaking during 1hr. in 5% ascorbic acid in 2% NaCl solution and 5% EDTA solution. The results of this study was that the sea food of freezing storage for domestic use and expore had better soaking during 1hr. in 5% EDTA solution.
평판재하시험과 실내시험에 의한 지반의 강도정수 비교에 관한 연구

기초의 지지력 산정방법 중에서 이론식에 의한 지지력의 산정법은 지반의 강도정수를 요소시험을 통하여 구한 후에 그 강도정수로서 지지력 계수와 극한 지지력이 구해질 수 있다. 그러나 요소시험(삼축압축시험, 평면변형률 압축시험)에 의한 지반의 강도정수는 균질한 지반의 극히 작은 시료를 통하여 구해지는 값이므로 지반 토괴로서의 특성을 나타내지 못한다. 더우기 현장에서의 지반의 강도정수 평가는 상당히 어렵다. 본 연구에서는, 현장 평판재하시험 결과를 이용하여 지반의 강도정수를 산정하고, 실내시험 결과와 비교하여 강도정수비를 정의 하였다. 이 강도정수비를 사용하면 평판재하시험에 의해 지반의 강도정수 (c, ø)를 구할 수 있다. The bearing capacity of the foundation can be calculated by using the soil rarameters(c, ø) obtained by the element test(triaxial compression test, plane strain compression test). But, as these parameters are obtained by using small specimens, so these values can't represent the characteristics of ground as a mass. In this paper, the strength paremeters can be estimated with the results of the field plate bearing tests. The parameter ratio is defined by comparing with the results of laboratory tests. We can obtain the strength parameters of ground mass by using the results of field plate bearing tests and this parameter ratio.

The experiment was performed to clarify the effect of temperature on pulp during impression taking with modelling compound, alginate and plaster of paris. Mongrel dogs were anesthetized with nembutal, 30mg/kg body weight. In order to measure the pulpal temperature, an inserting hole was prepared on the cervico-labial surface of each canine tooth and a thermister probe (diameter in 23 gauge) was inserted into pulp chamber and connected to a carrier preamplifier (Narco Biosystem Co.). The change of pulpal temperature during impression taking was recorded on the physiograph that had calibrated under standard temperature. The impression was taken with modelling compound, alginate and plaster of paris by using the temporary aluminum crown. Alginate was mixed with 10.0℃ and 20℃ water and plaster of paris was also mixed with 20℃ water as a routine method. The obtained results were as follows : 1. Taking the impression with modelling compound, temperature rise of pulp was 4.85±1.31℃ and normal temperature of pulp was 33.2±1.15℃. 2. When impression taking was prepared by using the alginate mixed with 10.0℃ and 20℃ water, decrease of pulpal temperature was 3.01±0.89℃ and 2.14±0.71℃, respectively. 3. When plaster of paris was used as an impression material, time to maximum change of pulpal temperature was not significant.
