Hae-In temple is located in Gaya Mountains, Hapcheon-gun, Korea and a thousand years old monastery. Tripitaka Koreana has been preserved during 750 years as good condition in Hae-In temple. The preservation technology is summarized as the passive design methods harmonized with the nature perfectly. Haein temple have dealt with a flow fields in the storage hall. In this study, an indoor and outdoor flow fields in the precincts of Haein temple were analysed with field measurement and numerical simulation. On the basis of the field measurement results, the restoration cases such as rearrangement of Tripitaka Koreana and relocation of the rear fence of Biro-Jean were analyzed with CFD.

Arteriovenous fistula of uterus is rarely reported disease. This vascular malformation is very dangerous condition because Dilatation & curettage can cause massive uterine bleeding without accurate diagnosis. The diagnosis is made by angiography, gray scale ultrasonography, color and duplex doppler ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging is helpful. Especially color and duplex doppler ultrasonography is allows convincing detection and diagnosis of arteriovenous fistula. Recently transcatheter uterine artery embolization is treatment of choice. We have experienced a case of arteriovenous fistula of uterus. Which is presented with a brief review of literature.

This paper aims to investigate Korean advanced L2 English learners’ strategies for ellipsis resolution during sentence processing. Ellipsis resolution is known to involve several stages of information processing from the initial step of detecting an ellipsis-licensing element by the parser to the final stage of integrating the ellipsis site with the information retrieved from the antecedent of the ellipsis site. In examining these steps, we have manipulated three factors: (i) TP vs. VP-ellipsis; (ii) two types of discourse coherence relations (resemblance(-contrast) vs. cause-effect relations); (iii) voice match vs. mismatch. We found through the ERP recordings that voice mismatch in TP ellipsis elicited N400, followed by P600, irrespective of discourse coherence relations. In contrast, voice mismatch in VP-ellipsis registered N400 only in resemblance(-contrast) relation, but not in cause-effect relation. These findings lead us to conclude that Korean advanced L2 learners of English seem to undergo the full sequence of processing stages required for ellipsis resolution.

Purpose : This preliminary study was done to identify sex related characteristics and sex knowledge of high school students. Methods : 622 high school students participated in the survey living in Gangreung city area. The data collection was done from May 1st to October 31st, 2000 using the self administered questionnaires. Results : The teachers and the peer students had a critical position in high school sex education. Reproductive physiology such as relations with the opposite sex, AIDS, STI, and contraceptions should be intensified in further sex education for high school students. There were sex differences in contraception and permission with sex relationship. And the false belief regarding sex assaults and knowledge deficit in AIDS were discovered. Conclusion : Sex education program development and application are necessary based on the educational needs and attitude evaluation for the sexual health improvement of high school students. In further study, developing the reliable measurement tool and various educational methodologies will be studied which are enough for the include the sex education concepts.

The performance of inoculant for ductile cast iron was investigated. The ability and fading rate of inoculant were evaluated through thermal analysis during holding the cast iron melt after the nodularizer and inoculant had been added. The effect of the addition of minor elements was also examined.

광섬유의 단면을 적절한 곡률의 곡면으로 가공함으로써 기존의 구조에 비해 우수한 특성의 광섬유 Fabry-Perot(FP) 간섭 필터를 제작할 수 있음을 이론적으로 분석하였다. 광섬유 단면의 가공된 오목거울의 곡률은 게단형 단일모드 광섬유의 도파모드를 Gaussian빔으로 가정했을 때 광섬유에서 나와 일정거리의 자유공간을 진행한 빔의 파면의 곡들과 일치하여야 하며, 이 때에는 거울의 기울기 0.2 deg, 곡률오차 70㎛, 공극거리 오차 8㎛, 광축의 횡편차 0.5㎛이내의 범위에서 이상적인 배치를 벗어난 경우에도 d=15㎛에서 0.5% 이하의 결합손실을 가지므로 광학구성이 종래에 비해 훨씬 간단한 새로운 구조의 광섬유 FP필터가 제작될 수 있음을 확인하였으며, 이 구조의 가능성을 보이기 위하여 곡률가공된 례를 광섬유 단면의 간섭패턴으로 보였다. Coupling loss of a fiber Fabry-Perot cavity, formed with two optical fibers with dielectric morror coatings on their ends, is analyzed. One of the fibers has a flat mirror, but the other fiber is processed to have a concave mirror whose curvature is the same as that of the wavefront of the Gaussian beam from the first fiber. It was turned out that the coupling loss at the cavity length of 15㎛ is less than 0.5% even with tilt angle of 0.2 deg, curvature error of 70 ㎛, cavity length error of 8㎛, and lateral alignment error of 0.5㎛. In conclusion, a simple high-finesse fiber Fabry-Perot filter whose a cavity length is greater than several ㎛ can be obtained only if the receiving fiber end is properly processed. The end of the receiving fiber has to be concave and the curvature of the concave mirror must be same as that of the wavefront of the incoming beam. Finally, to show the possibility of processing the fiber ends with required feature, provided is a picture of the interferogram of the fiber end with concave surface with controlled curvature.

6-Exomethylene penam derivatives were tested as possible β-lactamase inhibitors. The in vitro β-lactamase inhibitory activities were determined by a spectrophotometric assay using Type Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ and TEM β-lactamase. Their activities were compared with sulbactam, tazobactam and clavulanic acid. The 6-exomethylene sulfone derivatives were more potent than clavulanic acid and sulbactam against Type Ⅳ β-lactamase. The Z-isomers showed stronger activities than the E-isomers against TEM and Type Ⅳ β-lactamase.
