Morita, K. et al proposed the ultimate strength equation for the connection of rectangular steel tube column and H beam. The strength by this equation agrees well with experimental results. However, to use this equation, 4th dgree equation has to be solved first. it is very difficult to get the solution of a 4th dgree equation by hand. In this study, a simple way to find the approximate value of the solution of the 4th dgree equation is proposed. The ultimate strengths obtained by this simple method are very close to those obtained by the equation by Morita et al.
메치실린 내성 포도상구균에 대한 SK-302의 시험관내 및 생체내 효과

SK-302 is the active compound purified from culture filtrate of a streptomyces species (streptomyces sp. 302). The in vitro and in vivo antibacterial activities of SK-302 were evaluated against 6 clinically isolated MRSA strains and compared with the activities of vancomycin. SK-302 had node in virto antistaphylocoal activity stronger than that of vancomycin exhibiting MIC's, while vancomycin showed very weak 4 to 8fold lower than that of vancomycin. In SK-302 showed killing activity at the MIC, so SK-302 was superior to vancomycin. Furthermore, in acute systemic infections in mice, the ED_50s of SK-302 against infections by high-resistance MRSA were 30 to 40-feold less than that of vancomycin, therefore SK-302 showed potent in vive therapeutic efficacy against MRSA infection, These results suggest that SK-302 has excellent in virto in and in vivo activities against high-resistance MRSA.
외과적 보조의 급속상악확장술 : 치험 5예 REPORT OF 5 CASES

Five adults (3 cases of bilateral posterior crossbite, 2 cases of unilateral posterior crossbite) with intermaxillary discrepancy of over 5㎜ due to maxillary transverse deficiency were treated by surgically assisted rapid maxillary expansion (SARME). Bilateral maxillary horizontal osteotomies, osteotomies of pterygomaxillary junction and anterior lateral nasal wall, ans anterior palatal osteotomy were performed in 4 cases, and unilateral osteotomies in 1case, followed by palatal expansion with tooth-borne orthopedic applicance. No significant complication was observed. The mean palatal expansion was 7.2㎜ (5.8∼10.0㎜) in the maxillary first molar region. During the mean follow-up period of 4 years (5 months∼8 years 7 months), no recurrence of crossbite was observed in all cases. The SARME seemed to be a simple, stable, and reliable procedure for achieving a permanent increase of over 5㎜ in skeletal maxillary transverse width of adults.

In this paper, 3-point and 4-point flexure test of Ni-Cr plate, being used in this experiment, and ceramometal system were analyzed for displacements and stress distributions using finite element method(F.E.M).

This study suggests the new ultraprecision finishing techniques for micro die and mold parts using magnetic field-assisted polishing. Conventional magnetic abrasives have several disadvantages, which are missing of abrasive particle and inequal mixture between magnetic particle and abrasive particle. Therefore, bonded magnetic abrasive particles are fabricated by several method. For example, plasma melting and direct bonding. Carbonyl iron powder is used as magnetic particle where silicon carbide and alumina are abrasive particles. Developed magnetic abrasives are analyzed using SEM. Feasibility of magnetic abrasive and polishing performance of this magnetic abrasive particles also have been investigated. After polishing surface roughness of workpiece is reduced from 85.4 nm Ra to 9 nm Ra.

One of the most important elements of any structural frame is the column. This element is usually under the action of combined axial load and bending moment. Columns with small slenderness ratios are usually analysed by simple consideration of the equilibrium of forces and compatibility of strains. On the other hand, for columns with large slenderness ratios, the compound effect of the axial load and column deflection adds to the column bending moment, thus reducing of the column ultimate capacity. In this study, the analytical method for the Behavior and ultimate strength of Eccentrically Loaded Restrained PC slender Columns is developed, including the material and geometrical nonlinearities and the nonlinear behavior of restrained end of a column in a frame. Accordingly, the objectives of this investigation are to use the method developed to conduct a parametric study of the different variable (Rotational Restraints, Ratio of End Restraints, End Eccentricity, Ratio of End Eccentricities, Lateral Restraints, Concrete Strength) influencing the behavior and the ultimate strength for PC columns.
OFFICE빌딩공사의 가설공사에 대한 적정비용 산정에 관한 조사연구

건설업에서 가설공사는 공사현장의 근로자의 안전확보 등과 직접적인 관계가 있는 중요한 작업이다. 우리 나라와 일본의 안전 투자비율을 비교하기 위하여 안전투자 비용이 포함되어 있는 가설공사비만을 비교하여도 대략적인 안전투자비를 짐작할 수 있다. 양국의 3개 대형 Office빌딩 신축현장에 대하여 가설공사비가 전체 공사비에서 차지하는 비율을 분석하였는데 각각 3.8%와 9.6%로 나타났으므로 약 2.5배의 차이를 보였다. 따라서 우리 나라도 최소한 5% 이상 가설공사비를 확보하도록 제도적인 보완이 필요하다. The temporary work in construction work is so important that it is directly related with field workers' safety. In order to compare with the safety management cost between Korea and Japan, it is possible to estimate the approximate safety cost in comparison with the temporary work cost that is included safety cost. The rate of temporary work cost to the total construction cost is analyzed for each three office building sites between two countries. It is analyzed to 3.8% in Korea, 9.6% in Japan, with 2.5 times as much. Therefore it is necessary to establish the standard that the temporary work cost should be more than 5%.
