Willam Blake의 구원관 - The Lambeth Prophecies를 중심으로 -
김진규 ( Kim¸ Jin-kyu ) 현대영미어문학회 1990 현대영미어문학 Vol.8 No.-
In Blake’s works, Man’s history is represented in the fall, redemption and Apocalypse. In his fall, Ulro loses his Original Unity (Eternity). In the redemption, Eden (Golden Age) is restored by the reunification of man’s separated unity. Blake illustrates the whole process through the redemption representing his mythological figures like Urizen, Orc and Los in his Lambeth Prophecies. Urizen represented corrupted Reason as the sources of all political and psychological Error, which caused oppression in the political dimension, seperation and chaos in the psychological dimension. Ore, the embodiment of Revolution, brings about liberation from the oppressive King and God. But his redemption is restricted because of the Ore Cycle. Los, a blacksmith-prophet, represents the creative Imagiantion and holds the hope of redemption, namely, the restoration of Eden, by replacing the seperation and chaos caused by Urizen with the integration of creation. In conclusion, Blake’s Lambeth Prophecies show us that the Redemption of human being does not come from Revolution with its cyclicity, but from Imagination with the reintegration of seperated and alienated human consciousness.

Robert Frost had too widely concern and interest of Nature. He admits the mutural relations between man and nature in human life and the benefitable and inbenefitable nature. He thinks that man and nature should not live in same ways of life themselves but keep mutual confrontation. English Romantists try to be acceptable to objective beauty and the hidden meaning in nature. Furthermore, they think humans can be given sensibility and morality from the communion with nature. Frost thinks that man and nature exists in a different dimension and are naturally in born for themselves. That is to say, god and nature exist separately, and they are in a different realism from each other. In other words, god shapes the universe and seasons, and rules his own realism but only mankind makes walls for himself. Frost thinks that nature is a kind of background in human life for materializing relations of importance, therefore, he does not have deep philosophical ideas in his poems. He tries to seek the true meaning of human life in living with nature. He indicates how to relate man and nature and how to control the law of nature and changing of seasons through working in coordination with each other. In the poems of Robert Frost, his main theme is both sides of nature, and then his concern and interest are to explain human living with the background of nature. We can see the greatness of his poems through the relationships he creates between man and nature. Frost also indicates human limitation in living with nature, but he insists that humans should not obey nature, and should follow the pursuit of their own life. As a result, Frost does not see the beauty of nature, but he admits the both sides of the advantages and disadvantages in nature.
Preliminary study on a composite steel slit damper
Jinkyu Kim,김민철,Dongkeon Kim 대한기계학회 2021 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.35 No.9
A steel slit damper has been used to enhance the seismic performance of structures with several advantages. The damper can be easily manufactured at a low cost. Furthermore, it can dissipate a significant amount of seismic energy through the stable hysteretic behavior of steel. This study presents a preliminary investigation of the development of a composite steel slit damper that can respond effectively at multiple levels of seismic loading. The performance of the prototype composite steel slit damper is investigated in both experimental and analytical ways. In the experiments, the specimen shows the stable hysteretic response with sufficient ductility, where the multi-phased response is observed in the incremental-amplitude cyclic loading case. Furthermore, a nonlinear numerical analysis that combines both kinematic hardening and isotropic hardening models can reliably describe such characteristics.
A Border Line-Based Pruning Scheme for Shortest Path Computations
( Jinkyu Park ),( Daejin Moon ),( Eenjun Hwang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2010 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.4 No.5
With the progress of IT and mobile positioning technologies, various types of location-based services (LBS) have been proposed and implemented. Finding a shortest path between two nodes is one of the most fundamental tasks in many LBS related applications. So far, there have been many research efforts on the shortest path finding problem. For instance, A* algorithm estimates neighboring nodes using a heuristic function and selects minimum cost node as the closest one to the destination. Pruning method, which is known to outperform the A* algorithm, improves its routing performance by avoiding unnecessary exploration in the search space. For pruning, shortest paths for all node pairs in a map need to be pre-computed, from which a shortest path container is generated for each edge. The container for an edge consists of all the destination nodes whose shortest path passes through the edge and possibly some unnecessary nodes. These containers are used during routing to prune unnecessary node visits. However, this method shows poor performance as the number of unnecessary nodes included in the container increases. In this paper, we focus on this problem and propose a new border line-based pruning scheme for path routing which can reduce the number of unnecessary node visits significantly. Through extensive experiments on randomly-generated, various complexity of maps, we empirically find out optimal number of border lines for clipping containers and compare its performance with other methods.
Impact of Large-Scale Advection on Regional Heat Flux Estimation over Patchy Agricultural Land
Jinkyu Hong,Chunho Cho,Tae-Young Lee,Monique Leclerc 한국기상학회 2009 Asia-Pacific Journal of Atmospheric Sciences Vol.45 No.2
This paper attempted to constrain regional heat fluxes simulated by an atmospheric mesoscale model using the convective boundary layer (CBL) budget method and flux tower data over a mosaic of farmland. In tower footprint scales, the mesoscale model reproduced heat fluxes comparable to the tower measurement. In regional scales, the modeled heat fluxes were consistent with those from the CBL budget method only when the advection inside the CBLwas considered. Our analysis showed that the advection in the CBL, in conjunction with sealand breeze and heat transport from the inland, played a critical role in estimating regional scale fluxes since the net change of temperature in the CBL was balanced with entrainment in the CBL budget method. However, inconsistent magnitudes and pattern of advection between the model and the CBL budget method hindered us from inferring reliable regional heat fluxes around the site.
Improvement of Real-Time Multi-CoreSchedulability with Forced Non-Preemption
Jinkyu Lee,Shin, Kang G. IEEE 2014 IEEE transactions on parallel and distributed syst Vol.25 No.5

While tasks may be preemptive or non-preemptive (due to their transactional operations), deadline guarantees in multi-core systems have been made only for those task sets in each of which all tasks are preemptive or non-preemptive, not a mixture thereof,i.e., fully preemptive or fully non-preemptive. In this paper, we first develop a schedulability analysis framework that guarantees the timing requirements of a given task set in which a task can be either preemptive or non-preemptive in multi-core systems. We then apply this framework to the prioritization polices of EDF (earliest deadline first) and FP (fixed priority), yielding schedulability tests of mpn-EDF (Mixed Preemptive/Non-preemptive EDF) and mpn-FP, which are generalizations of corresponding fully-preemptive and non-preemptive algorithms, i.e., fp-EDF and np-EDF, and fp-FP and np-FP. In addition to their timing guarantees for any task set that consists of a mixture of preemptive and non-preemptive tasks, the tests outperform the existing schedulability tests of np-EDF andnp-FP (i.e., special cases of mpn-EDF and mpn-FP). Using these tests, we also improve schedulability by developing an algorithm that optimally disallows preemption of a preemptive task under a certain assumption. We demonstrate via simulation that the algorithm finds up to 47.6 percent additional task sets that are schedulable with mpn-FP (likewise mpn-EDF), but not with fp-FP and np-FP (likewisefp-EDF and np-EDF).
