Protothecosis is unusual phycological disorder caused by algae, named Prototheca. Cutaneous protothecosis has been reported worldwide including Korea. The patient was eighty-eight year old female who complained of skin lesions developed 15 days prior to the first visit. She has been living near the seashore and enjoyed bathing in the sea. Her skin lesions were erythematous, purulent plaque and patch, ulceration on right forearm. Skin biopsy revealed the possibility of cutaneous protothecosis, and this finding was confirmed by histological, mycological and electron microscopical studies. The causative organism was identified as Prototheca wickerhamii. Surgical debridement with KMnO4 wound irrigation combined with intravenous fluconazole 400 mg/day for 3 weeks resulted in remarkable improvement of skin lesions. We report a case of cutaneous protothecosis which showed severe clinical feature and was successfully treated with combination of systemic antifungal agent and surgical debridement. This study describes the effect of myo-inositol on sustained cell division and plant regeneration from cotyledon-derived protoplast of cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata). Freshly isolated protoplasts were cultured in modified Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium removed ammonia ions and containing $0.4\;mg\;l^{-1}$ thiamine HCl, $100\;mg\;l^{-1}$ myo-inositol, $2\;mgl^{-1}$ 2,4-D, $0.5\;mgl^{-1}$ BA, $30\;gl^{-1}$ sucrose and several concentrations of myo-inositol (2, 4, 6, 8, 10% (w/v)) as an osmotic stabilizer. After 3 weeks of culture in the dark at $25^{\circ}C$, the plating efficiency of cabbage protoplasts reached to $22.5{\pm}2.9%$ when cultured in modified MS medium supplemented with $2\;mgl^{-1}$ 2,4-D, $0.5\;mgl^{-1}$ BA, $30\;gl^{-1}$ sucrose and 8% (w/v) of myo-inositol at a density of $2{\times}10^5$ protoplasts/ml. Rapidly growing cell colonies after 3 weeks of culture were transferred to the same culture medium removed osmoticum. To induce shoot regeneration from calluses, calluses with about 2 mm in diameter were transferred to the MS medium containing $2\;mgl^{-1}$ BA and $0.5\;mgl^{-1}$ NAA. After further three weeks of incubation onto the medium in the light, green shoots were formed on the surface of calluses at a frequency of 30%. Upon transfer to half-strength MS basal medium, roots were formed onto the bottom of regenerated shoots without auxin treatments. These regenerated plantlets were successfully acclimatized to soil transfer, grown to normal mature plants. The cabbage protoplast culture system established in this study could be applied for production of somatic hybrids or cybrids by asymmetric protoplast fusion and mass proliferation of elite somatic clones of cabbage.

스마트폰 등 모바일 기기의 사용이 급증하고, 사용자 제작 콘텐츠 유통구조가 보편화되면서, 다양한 매체로 제작된 정보를 현장에서 증강하여 활용하는 서비스 모델이 제시되어 왔다. 본 연구의 목표는 사용자 참여형 모바일 증강현실 콘텐츠 제작 및 활용에 필요 요건과 실증적 한계를 도출하고 사용자 경험적 측면에서 보완할 수 있는 방법을 제안하는 데 있다. 원격현장에서는 데스크탑 웹기반 제작 시스템, 현장에서는 모바일 기반 콘텐츠 체험 시스템으로 순환되는 증강현실 콘텐츠의 제작 체계를 정의하고, 이를 바탕으로 사용자 워크샵을 진행하혔다. 서울 정동길의 역사적 사건과 문화적 배경을 대상으로 진행한 워크샵을 통해 콘텐츠 제작과정에서 통합적 사용자 경험를 개선하기 위한 한계와 문제점을 도출하고, 이를 보완할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. As user-created content deployment system has been generalized with the growing use of mobile devices such as smart phones, a wide range of augmented reality applications displaying real time digital information have been published. Based on user participatory content creation workshop through a platform of web-based augmented reality content authoring and mobile-based application, this study suggests a new approach for a supplementary solution learned from restrictions and problems of the workshop.

To evaluate the genotoxicity of CJ-11555, an anti-cirrhotic agent, the reverse mutation test, chromosomal aberration test and in vivo micronucleus test in rats were performed. In the reverse mutation test, the treatment of CJ-11555 at doses of 33.3, 100, 333, 1000, 3330 and 5000 mg/plate with and without S9 did not induce mutagenicity in Salmonella typhimurium TA98, TA100, TA1535, TA1537, and Escherichia coli ( E. coli) WP2 uvrA. In chromosomal aberration test, CJ-11555 did not induce structural a chromosomal aberration in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells with and without metabolic activation at all doses. In micronucleus test, CJ-11555 did not induce any statistically significant increases in micronucleated polychromatic erythrocyte (MNPCE) at doses of 500, 1000, and<br/> 2000 mg/kg. These results suggest that CJ-11555 might not have a mutagenic potential under the conditions in this study.
