Nonlinear optical properties of silver colloidal solution by in situ synthesis technique

        Yan Deng,Youyi Sun,Pei Wang,Douguo Zhang,Xiaojin Jiao,Hai Ming,Qijing Zhang,Yang Jiao,Xiaoquan Sun 한국물리학회 2008 Current Applied Physics Vol.8 No.1

The silver colloidal solutions were prepared by in situ synthesis technique in the presence of the Polymethyl Methacrylate, which was polymerized by reversible addition-fragmentation transfer. The UV–VIS spectra and transmission electron microscopy had shown the formation of sphere silver nanoparticles with average size of 10 nm. Nonlinear optical properties as a function of silver concentration were studied using Z-scan technique with 13 ns pulse duration at 532 nm. The optical nonlinearity enhancement was observed by increasing the concentration. The third-order nonlinear susceptibility v(3) was measured to 1.045 · 1011 esu when the concentration was 2.13 mg/ml. Besides, the sample was founded to exhibit a shift from saturable absorption to reverse saturable absorption at higher incident laser energy. The reverse saturable absorption was observed to be responsible for the optical limiting characteristics in our experiments. 2007 Published by Elsevier B.V. Non-Cooperative Game Joint Hidden Markov Model for Spectrum Allocation in Cognitive Radio Networks

Jiao, Yan The Institute of Internet 2018 International journal of advanced smart convergenc Vol.7 No.1

Spectrum allocation is a key operation in cognitive radio networks (CRNs), where secondary users (SUs) are usually selfish - to achieve itself utility maximization. In view of this context, much prior lit literature proposed spectrum allocation base on non-cooperative game models. However, the most of them proposed non-cooperative game models based on complete information of CRNs. In practical, primary users (PUs) in a dynamic wireless environment with noise uncertainty, shadowing, and fading is difficult to attain a complete information about them. In this paper, we propose a non-cooperative game joint hidden markov model scheme for spectrum allocation in CRNs. Firstly, we propose a new hidden markov model for SUs to predict the sensing results of competitors. Then, we introduce the proposed hidden markov model into the non-cooperative game. That is, it predicts the sensing results of competitors before the non-cooperative game. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the energy efficiency of networks and utilization of SUs.

Efficacy and Safety of the Safe Triangular Working Zone Approach in Percutaneous Vertebroplasty for Spinal Metastasis

        Yan Bi Cong,Fan Yan Feng,Tian Qing Hua,Wang Tao,Huang Zhi Long,Song Hong Mei,Li Ying,Jiao Lei,Wu Chun Gen 대한영상의학회 2022 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.23 No.9

Objective: This study aimed to assess the technical feasibility, efficacy, and safety of the safe triangular working zone (STWZ) approach applied in percutaneous vertebroplasty (PV) for spinal metastases involving the posterior part of the vertebral body. Materials and Methods: We prospectively enrolled 87 patients who underwent PV for spinal metastasis involving the posterior part of the vertebral body, with or without the STWZ approach, from January 2019 to April 2022. Forty-nine patients (27 females and 22 males; mean age ± standard deviation [SD], 57.2 ± 11.6 years; age range, 31–76 years) were included in group A (with STWZ approach), accounting for 54 vertebrae. Thirty-eight patients (18 females and 20 males; 59.1 ± 10.9 years; 29–81 years) were included in group B (without STWZ approach), accounting for 57 vertebrae. Patient demographics, procedure-related variables, and pain relief as assessed using the visual analog scale (VAS) were collected at different time points. Tumor recurrence in the vertebrae after PV was analyzed using Kaplan–Meier curves. Results: The STWZ approach was successful from T1 to L5 without severe complications. Cement filling was satisfactory in 47/54 (87.0%) and 25/57 (43.9%) vertebrae in groups A and B, respectively (p < 0.001). Cement leakage was not significantly different between groups A and B (p = 1.000). Mean VAS score ± SD before and 1 week and 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months after PV were 7.6 ± 1.8, 4.2 ± 2.0, 2.7 ± 1.9, 1.9 ± 1.5, 1.7 ± 1.4, 1.7 ± 1.1, and 1.6 ± 1.3, respectively, in group A and 7.2 ± 1.7, 4.0 ± 1.3, 3.4 ± 1.6, 2.4 ± 1.2, 1.8 ± 1.0, 1.4 ± 0.5, and 1.7 ± 0.9, respectively, in group B. Kaplan–Meier analysis showed a lower tumor recurrence rate in group A than in group B (p = 0.001). Conclusion: The STWZ approach may represent a new, safe, alternative/auxiliary approach to target the posterior part of the vertebral body in the PV for spinal metastases.

        Yan-Jiao Meng 대한수학회 2012 대한수학회지 Vol.49 No.4

In this paper, we obtain two general laws of precise asymptotics for sums of i.i.d random variables, which contain general weighted functions and boundary functions and also clearly show the relationship between the weighted functions and the boundary functions. As corollaries,we obtain Theorem 2 of Gut and Spataru [A. Gut and A. Spataru,Precise asymptotics in the law of the iterated logarithm, Ann. Probab. 28 (2000), no. 4, 1870{1883] and Theorem 3 of Gut and Spataru [A. Gut and A. Spataru, Precise asymptotics in the Baum-Katz and Davids laws of large numbers, J. Math. Anal. • The Prediction of Ship Motions and Added Resistance based on RANS

        Jiao Yan,Dingqi Pan,Xiaomin Zhou,Ketai He 제어로봇시스템학회 2015 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2015 No.10

In this paper, numerical predictions of ship motions and added resistance in regular head waves by solving the unsteady Reynolds average Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations with a shear-stress transport (SST) κ-ω turbulence model is presented. Volume of fluid method (VOF) is applied for the treatment of the free surface. The Wigley III ship model has been computed using the unsteady RANS solver Fluent. The simulations have been carried out to measure the heaving and pitching motions in regular head waves which covered seven different wavelengths. The Froude number of the hull are 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4. By comparing the results with the strip theory based results and experimental data, the unsteady RANS method shows better accuracy in predicting ship motions.

Exploring the Development of E-commerce for Fresh agricultural Products under the Background of E-commerce Law

        Yan-Jiao Wan,Zhi-Chun Yu 한국인터넷전자상거래학회 2020 인터넷전자상거래연구 Vol.20 No.6

E-commerce of fresh agricultural products has received China’s attention in recent years. The e-commerce law effectively guides and promotes the e-commerce of fresh agricultural products to develop in a healthy and sustainable direction. The "E-commerce Law" ended the cruel development of new e-commerce, clearly regulated e-commerce behavior and protected the rights and interests of consumers, which was a milestone. China’s fresh agricultural products e-commerce started later than e-commerce. It started in 2005 and developed steadily in 2012, and the pressure it faces in 2020 will increase. Relying on China’s unique huge consumer market and government attention and support, big data is expected to increase the growth rate of global fresh agricultural e-commerce. This paper explores the development of e-commerce for fresh agricultural products in the context of e-commerce law. Within the scope of the e-commerce law, the sustainable development of e-commerce for fresh agricultural products requires the realization of small-scale e-commerce and strengthen the cold chain logistics capabilities of fresh agricultural products e-commerce companies, improve production standardization and intensification, provide a basis for large-scale fresh agricultural product e-commerce procurement, effectively reduce the loss of fresh agricultural products circulation, and make fresh agricultural products much fresher.

A New 3D Empirical Plastic and Damage Model for Simulating the Failure of Concrete Structure

        Yan-tao Jiao,Bo Wang,Zhen-zhong Shen 한국콘크리트학회 2019 International Journal of Concrete Structures and M Vol.13 No.7

A new plastic–damage constitutive model based on the combination of damage mechanics and classical plastic theory was developed to simulate the failure of concrete. In order to explain different material behaviors of concrete under tensile and compressive loadings, the plastic yield criterion, the different kinematic hardening rule for tension and compressive and the isotropic flow rule were established in the effective stress space. Meanwhile, two different empirical damage evolution equations were adopted: one for compression and the other for tension. A multi-axial damage influence factor was also introduced to fully describe the anisotropic damage of concrete. Finally, the model response was compared with a wide range of experiment results. The results showed that the model could well describe the nonlinear behavior of concrete in a complex stress state.

Energy-Efficient Resource Allocation for Heterogeneous Cognitive Radio Network based on Two-Tier Crossover Genetic Algorithm

Jiao, Yan,Joe, Inwhee The Korea Institute of Information and Commucation 2016 Journal of communications and networks Vol.18 No.1

Cognitive radio (CR) is considered an attractive technology to deal with the spectrum scarcity problem. Multi-radio access technology (multi-RAT) can improve network capacity because data are transmitted by multiple RANs (radio access networks) concurrently. Thus, multi-RAT embedded in a cognitive radio network (CRN) is a promising paradigm for developing spectrum efficiency and network capacity in future wireless networks. In this study, we consider a new CRN model in which the primary user networks consist of heterogeneous primary users (PUs). Specifically, we focus on the energy-efficient resource allocation (EERA) problem for CR users with a special location coverage overlapping region in which heterogeneous PUs operate simultaneously via multi-RAT. We propose a two-tier crossover genetic algorithm-based search scheme to obtain an optimal solution in terms of the power and bandwidth. In addition, we introduce a radio environment map to manage the resource allocation and network synchronization. The simulation results show the proposed algorithm is stable and has faster convergence. Our proposal can significantly increase the energy efficiency.
