Improvement of DITC SRM with a Novel 4-level Converter

This paper presents a direct instantaneous torque control (DITC) of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) with a novel 4-1evel converter to obtain smooth torque and dynamic performance improvement. The DITC method can reduce the high inherent torque ripple of SRM drive system, but driving efficiency and dynamic performance are somewhat low due to the slow excitation current build-up. Since the 4-level converter can obtain a addition high voltage to get fast excitation current and demagnetization current, so, it can improve dynamic performance easily. As a high performance SRM drive system with low torque ripple and high dynamic performance can be implemented. The validity of proposed method is verified by some computer simulations and comparative experiments.
Driving Characteristic of Passive Converter for Single Phase SRM

At the high speed operation, the high demagnetization voltage can reduce the negative torque, so the output power and efficiency can be improved. In this paper, a novel power converter for single phase SRM with high demagnetization voltage is proposed. A simple passive capacitor circuit is added in the front-end, which consists of three diodes and one capacitor. Based on this passive network, the two capacitors can be connected in series and parallel, so the phase winding of SRM obtains general dc-link voltage in excitation mode and the double de-link voltage in demagnetization mode. The operation modes of the proposed converter are analyzed in detail. Some computer simulation results is done to verify the performance of proposed converter.
Vehicle Detection at Night Based on Style Transfer Image Enhancement

Most vehicle detection methods have poor vehicle feature extraction performance at night, and their robustnessis reduced; hence, this study proposes a night vehicle detection method based on style transfer image enhancement. First, a style transfer model is constructed using cycle generative adversarial networks (cycleGANs). Thedaytime data in the BDD100K dataset were converted into nighttime data to form a style dataset. The datasetwas then divided using its labels. Finally, based on a YOLOv5s network, a nighttime vehicle image is detectedfor the reliable recognition of vehicle information in a complex environment. The experimental results of theproposed method based on the BDD100K dataset show that the transferred night vehicle images are clear andmeet the requirements. The precision, recall, mAP@.5, and mAP@.5:.95 reached 0.696, 0.292, 0.761, and0.454, respectively.
Analysis of Passive Boost Power Converter for Three-Phase SR Drive

<P>This paper presents a novel passive boost power converter and its analysis for a three-phase switched reluctance (SR) drive. The proposed simple passive circuit adds three diodes and one capacitor to the front end of a conventional asymmetric converter in order to obtain a high negative bias. Based on this passive power network, the terminal voltage of the converter side is at general dc-link voltage level in parallel mode and is up to a double dc-link voltage level in series mode. As a result, it can suppress the negative torque generation from the tail current and improve the output power. Combining a passive circuit with a three-phase asymmetric converter without phase-current overlap, the phase winding obtains the dc-link voltage in the excitation mode and the negative double dc-link voltage in the demagnetization mode. With the phase-current overlap, the dc-link voltage or the double dc-link voltage is dependent on the overlap current. The operation modes of the proposed converter are analyzed with a three-phase SR motor. The selection of the boost capacitor is considered, and a detailed analysis of current-overlap modes is presented. The compared simulation and experiments are done. The results verify the performance of the proposed converter.</P>

This paper presents dynamic characteristics of super high speed SRM and it's drive. The nonlinear model of super high speed SRM is implement by Matlab/simulink and the simulation results show that the prototypeSRM can operate up 20,000[rpm]with stable performance.
Bonded flake MoS2 solid lubricant coating: An effective protection against fretting wear

The multiple advantages of flake MoS2 are of great significance for improving the fretting wear resistanceof bonded solid lubricant coating. Herein, the coating was constructed with liquid-phase exfoliated flakeMoS2 as lubricating filler and epoxy resin as binder. The tangential fretting characteristics for the contactof AISI 52,100 steel ball against the as-prepared coating on the AISI 1045 steel were investigated underthree displacement amplitude. Results show that the average friction coefficient and wear rate of thecoating with flake MoS2 maximumly reduce by 45.5% and 89.8% than those with bulk MoS2. Moreover,the fretting regime is regulated by the coatings with different composition and performance. Such excellentanti-fretting features depend on: (a) the intrinsic shearing properties of flake MoS2; (b) the repairingeffect on the worn area; (c) the formation of uniform transfer film.

A Novel Direct Instantaneous Pressure Control of Hydraulic Pump System with SR Drive

This paper proposes a novel direct instantaneous pressure control(DIPC) of hydraulic pump system with SR drive. And it has very simple control structure, because it doesn’t use any speed and torque control for adjusting pump pressure. The hysteresis band of pressure and proper switching rules can make the actual pump pressure to be constant with fast dynamic response. Therefore, the proposed DIPC method can control of hydraulic pump pressure steadily with fast dynamic response.
Facial Expression Recognition Method Based on Residual Masking Reconstruction Network

Facial expression recognition can aid in the development of fatigue driving detection, teaching qualityevaluation, and other fields. In this study, a facial expression recognition method was proposed with a residualmasking reconstruction network as its backbone to achieve more efficient expression recognition andclassification. The residual layer was used to acquire and capture the information features of the input image,and the masking layer was used for the weight coefficients corresponding to different information features toachieve accurate and effective image analysis for images of different sizes. To further improve the performanceof expression analysis, the loss function of the model is optimized from two aspects, feature dimension anddata dimension, to enhance the accurate mapping relationship between facial features and emotional labels. Thesimulation results show that the ROC of the proposed method was maintained above 0.9995, which canaccurately distinguish different expressions. The precision was 75.98%, indicating excellent performance ofthe facial expression recognition model.
