In this study, I have attempted to present the teaching method of Chinese Language in the everyday environment, that would enable Korean university students to loam Chinese in a simple, direct, and accurate manner within the shortest possible time. The Korean people live in a culture greatly influenced by Chinese culture and Chinese language throughout its history and accordingly, they can team Chinese language much easier than those living in other parts of the world. Particularly, their ability to read Chinese is exceptionally good. Despite the fact that most Chinese words used in two countries are the same, some words are used differently creating confusion between the two. Accordingly, for the best results, the Chinese Language should be taught with the following points in mind. First, special emphasis should be given to Chinese characters that are used differently in each country even though they are written the same way. Therefore, comparative teaching is recommended Secondly, Chinese characters that have the same meanings but pronounced differently between the two should be taught in a comparative manner as well. Thirdly, those learning Chinese language should also team about Chinese culture for a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding. Lastly, many new words created everyday as China goes through a drastic social change after the opening of the country must be taught in the actually applied situations so that the students loaming these words can understand the changing Chinese society better. The teachers of Chinese Language should consider the above points or more effective teaching. It will also give students a better understanding of Chinese society and culture.
Does HBV Infection Increase Risk of Endometrial Carcinoma?

Objective: Connections between chronic inflammation and tumor development and progression are now generally accepted. Recent evidence indicates that hepatitis B is associated with several types of cancer, but whether endometrial carcinoma (EC) is included has not been reported. Methods: We analyzed HBV serum marker status in 398 patients with endometrial cancer, comparing them to 788 control women undergoing health examination. Results: The total prevalence of HBsAg tested positive in cancer group was significantly higher than the control group (12.8% vs 6.0%, P=0.001), while positive HBsAb was significantly lower (41.2% vs 68.5%, P=0.001). Hepatitis B carriers in endometrial cancer group were also more frequent than in the control group (9.3% vs 5.5%, P=0.013). Interestingly, in the endometrial cancer group, 147 cases were HBV serum marker negative, which was also higher than in the control group (36.9% vs 15.6%, P=0.001). Conclusion: There may be a correlation between HBV infection and endometrial carcinoma.
Design of Smart Home Monitoring System Based on ARM and Power Line Carrier Communication

For the shortcoming of smart home monitoring system(SHMS), such as high spend of wiring, difficulty of maintenance, poor penetration using traditional communication etc.., designed a SHMS based on embedded system. By using LPC2000 series processor as a core, selecting power line carrier communication (PLCC) module for interior communication mode, GSM for remote communication mode, and then transplanting RTOS μC/OS-II, the system can monitor environment, security of home. The results indicate that SHMS has the advantages of convenient installation, low cost, easy to upgrade, can realize the local and remote control.
Anti-toxoplasmosis Effects of Oleuropein Isolated from <i>Fraxinus rhychophylla</i>

<P>Toxoplasmosis is a parasitic disease caused by <I>Toxoplasma gondii</I>, with very few therapeutic treatment options. Typically, the choices for treatment are pyrimethamine and sulfadiazine, however their utility is limited because of drug toxicity and serious side effects. For these reasons, new drugs with lower toxicity are urgently needed. In this study, the compound oleuropein isolated from <I>Fraxinus rhynchophylla</I> showed anti-<I>T. gondii</I> effects <I>in vitro</I> and <I>in vivo</I>. In Madin–Darby bovine kidney cells, the selectivity of oleuropein was 8.9, which was higher than sulfadiazine and pyrimethamine (3.8 and 2.5, respectively). In infected mice, the inhibition ratio of <I>T. gondii</I> in the peritoneal cavity was 55.4% compared to the negative control group after treatment with 300 mg/kg oleuropein. In addition, inhibitory effects on granuloma, apoptosis, necrosis and cyst-formation were shown in sections of spleen and liver. Oleuropein is therefore a potentially useful anti-<I>T. gondii</I> candidate for clinical application.</P>
Inhomogeneity of Hot Rolling Texture in Cu/Nb Added Ultra Low Carbon Steels

The texture and microstructure in Cu/Nb added ultra low carbon steels through the different thickness layer were studied after hot rolling. It was found that the two ultra low carbon steels all show the inhomogeneity of hot rolling texture and the Cu-added ultra low carbon steel was far more inhomogeneous than Nb-added one. In the center layer, the strong ${\alpha}\;fibre,\;{\gamma}\;fibre$ textures and the shear textures including 001<110>, 111<112> were founded. Near the surface, the ${\alpha}\;fibre$ texture and the orientation texture caused by a typical plane-strain deformation condition of bcc metals were observed.
A New ent-Kaurane type Diterpenoid Glycoside from Inula japonica Thunb

A new ent-kaurane type diterpenoid glycoside, 17-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-16α-ent-kauran-19-oic acid (1), together with 17-hydroxy-16α-ent-kauran-19-oic acid (2), 16α,17-dihydroxyl-ent-kauran-19-oic acid (3), and 16α-hydroxy-17-acetoxy-ent- kauran-19-oic acid (4) were isolated from the aerial parts of Inula japonica Thunb. The structure of 1 was determined mainly by use of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic techniques including HSQC, 1H-1H COSY, HMBC, and NOESY. In addition, 4 exhibited significant inhibitory activity on NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells with IC50 value of 14.3 μg/mL.
MicroRNA-338-3p as a novel therapeutic target for intervertebral disc degeneration

Recent studies have demonstrated the pivotal role played by microRNAs (miRNAs) in the etiopathogenesis of intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD). The study of miRNA intervention in IDD models may promote the advancement of miRNA-based therapeutic strategies. The aim of the current study was to investigate whether intradiscal delivery of miRNA can attenuate IDD development. Our results showed that miR-338-3p expression was significantly increased in the nucleus pulposus (NP) of patients with IDD. Moreover, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between the expression level of miR-338-3p and the severity of IDD. Our functional studies showed that miR-338-3p significantly influenced the expression of extracellular matrix synthesis genes, as well as the proliferation and apoptosis of NP cells. Mechanistically, miR-338-3p aggravated IDD progression by directly targeting SIRT6, a negative regulator of the MAPK/ERK pathway. Intradiscal injection of antagomir-338-3p significantly decelerated IDD development in mouse models. Our study is the first to identify miR-338-3p as a mediator of IDD and thus may be a promising target for rescuing IDD.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Directly 2,12‐ and 2,8‐linked Zn<SUP>II</SUP> porphyrin oligomers were prepared from 2,12‐ and 2,8‐diborylated Zn<SUP>II</SUP> porphyrin by a cross platinum‐induced coupling with a 2‐borylated Zn<SUP>II</SUP> porphyrin end unit followed by a triphenylphosphine (PPh<SUB>3</SUB>)‐mediated reductive elimination. Comparative studies on the steady‐state absorption and fluorescence spectra and the fluorescence lifetimes led to a conclusion that the exciton in the S<SUB>1</SUB> state is delocalized over approximately four and two Zn<SUP>II</SUP> porphyrin units for 2,12‐ and 2,8‐linked Zn<SUP>II</SUP> porphyrin arrays, respectively.</P>

Erasable conductive domain walls in insulating ferroelectric thin films can be used for non-destructive electrical read-out of the polarization states in ferroelectric memories. Still, the domain-wall currents extracted by these devices have not yet reached the intensity and stability required to drive read-out circuits operating at high speeds. This study demonstrated non-destructive read-out of digital data stored using specific domain-wall configurations in epitaxial BiFeO<SUB>3</SUB> thin films formed in mesa-geometry structures. Partially switched domains, which enable the formation of conductive walls during the read operation, spontaneously retract when the read voltage is removed, reducing the accumulation of mobile defects at the domain walls and potentially improving the device stability. Three-terminal memory devices produced 14 nA read currents at an operating voltage of 5 V, and operated up to T = 85 °C. The gap length can also be smaller than the film thickness, allowing the realization of ferroelectric memories with device dimensions far below 100 nm.
