The research on the Application of Fuzzy Immune PD Algorithm in the Two-Wheeled and Self-Balancing Robot System

Jian Fang 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of Control and Automation Vol.7 No.10

The fuzzy immune PD controller is designed in view of the nonlinear and model uncertainty characteristics of the two-wheeled and self-balancing robot, and the simulation study is carried out. The simulation results show that the designed control system has the advantages of small overshoot amount, short adjustment time and strong anti-jamming capability compared with the conventional fuzzy PD controller. It is suitable for the balance of the robot control system whose mathematical model is difficult to determine and when the parameter changes.

      • 1LJ-5 Active Plasmon Switching

        ( Jianfang Wang ) 한국공업화학회 2017 한국공업화학회 연구논문 초록집 Vol.2017 No.1

Colloidal plasmonic nanocrystals have proven to be of enormous potential in a wide range of applications. Recently, active plasmon control has received intensive attention. Successful attempts to achieve plasmonic switching have been demonstrated by integrating metal nanostructures with active media whose dielectric functions can be varied by external stimuli. Electroactive materials are particularly appealing, because they allow for a fast switching of plasmon under electrochemical stimuli, opening the door to technological applications in electrochromic smart windows, three-dimensional and flat-panel displays. We have been able to coat polyaniline onto Au nanocrystals in controllable shell thicknesses. The plasmon resonance of the Au core can be modulated reversibly by varying the dielectric function of the polyaniline shell through proton doping and dedoping. A scattering intensity modulation depth of ~10 dB is obtained for the plasmonic switching on the single core@shell nanostructures. The plasmonic switching is accompanied with more than 100 nm in the reversible plasmon peak shift. We have further realized electrochemical switching. In the single-particle electrochemical switching measurements, reversible plasmonic shifts of ~20 and ~100 nm are obtained on the coated Au nanospheres and nanorods, with a remarkable stability over 200 cycles. The plasmon energy can be precisely controlled within the shift range, with the plasmonic switching time being less than 10 ms. The ensemble coated Au nanocrystals also exhibit good electrochemical plasmonic switching performances.

Performance Analysis of Cellular Networks with D2D communication Based on Queuing Theory Model

( Jianfang Xin ),( Qi Zhu ),( Guangjun Liang ),( Tiaojiao Zhang ),( Su Zhao ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.6

In this paper, we develop a spatiotemporal model to analysis of cellular user in underlay D2D communication by using stochastic geometry and queuing theory. Firstly, by exploring stochastic geometry to model the user locations, we derive the probability that the SINR of cellular user in a predefined interval, which constrains the corresponding transmission rate of cellular user. Secondly, in contrast to the previous studies with full traffic models, we employ queueing theory to evaluate the performance parameters of dynamic traffic model and formulate the cellular user transmission mechanism as a M/G/1 queuing model. In the derivation, Embedded Markov chain is introduced to depict the stationary distribution of cellular user queue status. Thirdly, the expressions of performance metrics in terms of mean queue length, mean throughput, mean delay and mean dropping probability are obtained, respectively. Simulation results show the validity and rationality of the theoretical analysis under different channel conditions.

Summary

For a decade, The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) program collected clinicopathologic annotation data along with multi-platform molecular profiles of more than 11,000 human tumors across 33 different cancer types. TCGA clinical data contain key features representing the democratized nature of the data collection process. To ensure proper use of this large clinical dataset associated with genomic features, we developed a standardized dataset named the TCGA Pan-Cancer Clinical Data Resource (TCGA-CDR), which includes four major clinical outcome endpoints. In addition to detailing major challenges and statistical limitations encountered during the effort of integrating the acquired clinical data, we present a summary that includes endpoint usage recommendations for each cancer type. These TCGA-CDR findings appear to be consistent with cancer genomics studies independent of the TCGA effort and provide opportunities for investigating cancer biology using clinical correlates at an unprecedented scale.

Highlights

Generation of TCGA Clinical Data Resource for 11,160 patients over 33 cancer types

Analysis of clinical outcome endpoints with usage recommendations for each cancer

Demonstration of data validity and utility for large-scale translational research

Graphical Abstract

[DISPLAY OMISSION]

Sensitivity of Tropical Cyclone Intensity and Structure to Vertical Resolution in WRF

        Zhanhong Ma,Jianfang Fei,Xiaogang Huang,Xiaoping Cheng 한국기상학회 2012 Asia-Pacific Journal of Atmospheric Sciences Vol.48 No.1

In this paper the impacts of vertical resolution on the simulations of Typhoon Talim (2005) are examined using the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model, with cumulus parameterization scheme representing the cumulus convection implicitly. It is shown that the tropical cyclone (TC) track has little sensitivity to vertical resolution, whereas the TC intensity and structure are highly sensitive to vertical resolution. It is partly determined by the sensitivity of the planetary boundary layer (and the surface layer) and the cumulus convection processes to vertical resolution. Increasing vertical resolution in the lower layer could strengthen the TC effectively. Increasing vertical resolution in the upper layer is also beneficial for the storm intensification, but to a lesser degree. In contrast, improving the midlevel resolution may cause the convergence of environmental air, which inhibits the TC intensification. The results also show that the impacts of vertical resolution on features of the TC structure, such as the tangential winds, secondary circulations and the evolution of the warm-core structure, are consistent with the impacts on the TC intensity. It is suggested that in the simulations of TCs, the vertical levels should be distributed properly rather than the more the better, with higher vertical resolution being expected both in the lower and upper layer, while the middle layer should not hold too many levels.

Improved Temperature Characteristics of an Aspergillus oryzae GHF11 Xylanase, by In Silico Design and Site-directed Mutagenesis

        Die Hu,Jianfang Li,Qin Wu,Jia Zang,Jianqing Cheng,Minchen Wu 한국생물공학회 2016 Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering Vol.21 No.6

To improve the temperature characteristics of a mesophilic glycoside hydrolase family (GHF) 11 xylanase AoXyn11A from Aspergillus oryzae, both introduction of a disulfide bridge and the substitution of a specific amino acid were carried out by in silico design and site-directed mutagenesis. Based on the analysis of a known crystal structure of thermophilic xylanase TlXynA from Thermomyces lanuginosus, and the alignment of primary structures between AoXyn11A and TlXynA, one mutant AoXyn11AM with a disulfide bridge (Cys108–Cys152) was designed by replacing the Ser108 and Asn152 of AoXyn11A with Cys residues, respectively. Additionally, based on the analysis of amino acid B-factor values, another mutant AoXyn11AM-G22A was predicted by substituting Gly22 of AoXyn11AM (having the maximum B-factor value of 69.25 Å, with the corresponding Ala23 of TlXynA. Thereafter, two mutant xylanase-encoding genes, Aoxyn11AM and Aoxyn11AM-G22A, were constructed by site-directed mutagenesis. Aoxyn11A and two mutant genes were expressed in E. coli BL21(DE3) respectively, and three expressed recombinant xylanases, reAoXyn11A, reAoXyn11AM and reAoXyn11AM-G22A, were purified to homogeneity. The temperature optima of reAoXyn11AM and reAoXyn11AM-G22A were 60 and 65°C, respectively, being 5 and 10°C higher than that of reAoXyn11A. Their thermal inactivation half-lives at 50°C were 1.8- and 8.4-folds longer than that of reAoXyn11A. There were no obvious alterations after mutations in specific activity and enzymatic properties, except for the temperature characteristics.

        Macro-/micro-environment-sensitive chemosensing and biological imaging

        Yang, Zhigang,Cao, Jianfang,He, Yanxia,Yang, Jung Ho,Kim, Taeyoung,Peng, Xiaojun,Kim, Jong Seung The Royal Society of Chemistry 2014 Chemical Society reviews Vol.43 No.13

Environment-related parameters, including viscosity, polarity, temperature, hypoxia, and pH, play pivotal roles in controlling the physical or chemical behaviors of local molecules. In particular, in a biological environment, such factors predominantly determine the biological properties of the local environment or reflect corresponding status alterations. Abnormal changes in these factors would cause cellular malfunction or become a hallmark of the occurrence of severe diseases. Therefore, in recent years, they have increasingly attracted research interest from the fields of chemistry and biological chemistry. With the emergence of fluorescence sensing and imaging technology, several fluorescent chemosensors have been designed to respond to such parameters and to further map their distributions and variations in vitro/in vivo. In this work, we have reviewed a number of various environment-responsive chemosensors related to fluorescent recognition of viscosity, polarity, temperature, hypoxia, and pH that have been reported thus far.

Graphic Abstract

We have summarized the research progress on fluorescent sensors responsive to environmental factors, including local viscosity, polarity, temperature, hypoxia and pH.

Improved Antitumor Efficacy and Reduced Toxicity of Liposomes Containing Bufadienolides

        Kaili Hu,Fuqiang Hu,Jianfang Feng,Lin Zhu,Haiyuan Liang 대한약학회 2011 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.34 No.9

Long-circulating liposomes are used extensively nowadays for enhancing the therapeutic effect and reducing the toxicity of anticancer drugs. In this paper, a traditional Chinese medicine, toad venom, which has long been used in the clinic for tumor therapy with unpleasant side effects, was incorporated into poloxamer modified liposomes to increase its antitumor effect and reduce its toxicity. Our preparation of bufadienolides liposomes had a particle size of around 70 nm and an entrapment efficiency of about 87.6%. Lyophilized liposomes well retained their appearance, particle size and encapsulation efficiency for 3 months. The in vitro release results verified the sustained release properties of the bufadienolides liposomes. The concentration of bufadienolides in modified liposomes that caused 50% cell killing was much lower than that of free drug for both Lovo cells and NCI-H157 cells. Compared to the bufadienolides solution and the unmodified liposomes, the bufadienolides liposomes significantly prolonged the retention time and increased the area under the curve in vivo. The antitumor efficiency of the bufadienolides liposomes against mice bearing H22 liver cancer cells and Lewis pulmonary cancer cells were 2.15 and 2.96, respectively, times that of a bufadienolides solution at the same toxicity. The safety test results demonstrated that the bufadienolides liposomes had an LD_50 that was 3.5 times the LD_50 of bufadienolides solution and caused no allergen-related or blood vessel irritation effects. All these results proved that poloxamer modified bufadienolides liposomes have improved antitumor efficacy and safety.

IFIT1 Expression Patterns Induced by H9N2 Virus and Inactivated Viral Particle in Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells and Bronchus Epithelial Cells

        Bo Feng,Qian Zhang,Jianfang Wang,Hong Dong,Xiang Mu,Ge Hu,Tao Zhang 한국분자세포생물학회 2018 Molecules and cells Vol.41 No.4

IFIT1 (also known as ISG56) is a member of the interferoninducible protein with tetratricopeptide repeats (IFITs) family. IFITs are strongly induced by type I interferon (IFN), doublestranded RNA and virus infection. Here, we investigated IFIT1 expression in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and in human bronchus epithelial cells (BEAS-2Bs) induced by the H9N2 virus and inactivated viral particle at different time points. We also investigated the effect of H9N2 virus and viral particle infection on IFN-α/β production, and assessed whether hemagglutinin or neuraminidase protein induced IFIT1 expression. Results showed that both H9N2 virus infection and viral particle inoculation induced the expression of IFIT1 at mRNA and protein levels in the two cell lines. Hemagglutinin or neuraminidase protein binding alone is not sufficient to induce IFIT1 expression. Surprisingly, the expression patterns of IFIT1 in response to H9N2 virus and viral particles in the two cell lines were opposite, and production kinetics of IFN-α/β also differed. An additional finding was that induction of IFIT1 in response to H9N2 virus infection or viral particle inoculation was more sensitive in HUVECs than in BEAS-2Bs. Our data offers new insight into the innate immune response of endothelial cells to H9N2 virus infection.
