        This study analzed AEMG, muscle activity duration time, peak value and work load of six high school student players, three college student players, three business team players in order to analyze Arm's EMG when they play games with two-handed backhand stroke. The instruments of measuring EMG are muscle tester ME3000p. And measured parts of muscle are the triceps brachii, biceps brachii, brachioradialis and flexor carpi radialis of body left and right arm. The following is the result according to the analysis of raw data and statistics. 1. The AEMG of trained group was higher than the untrained. In both groups AEMG of right arm was higher than left one. And AEMG of forearm was higher than upperarm. The order of high AEMG among the trained is as followed ; right biceps brachii, left brachii, right brachioradialis. Among the untrained ; right brachioradialis, left brachioradialis, biceps brachii. 2. The muscle activity duration time of the trained group was totally shorter than the untrained. In both groups muscle activity duration time of the right arm was shorter than the left one. As to trained muscle activity duration time of upperarm is shorter than the forearm. Contrarily, as to untrained muscle activity duration time forearm is shorter than the upperarm. The order of short muscle activity duration time among the trained is as followed ; right biceps brachii, triceps brachii, left flexor carpi radialis. 3. The peak value of trained group was higher than the untrained. In body groups peak value of the right arm was higher than the left one. As to the trained the peak of the upperarm is higher than the forearm. Contrarily, as to the untrained, the peak value of the forearm was higher the upperarm. The order of high peak value among the trained is as followed ; right biceps brachii, left biceps brachii, right brachioradialis. Among the untrained, right brachioradialis, left biceps brachii, brachioradialis.

        한국인 직무 스트레스 측정도구의 개발 및 표준화

        Background and Purposes: Over the past three decades, numerous studies performed in Korea have reported that job stress is a determinant risk factor for chronic diseases and work disability. Every society has its own culture and occupational climate particular to their organizations, and hence experiences different occupational stress. An occupational stress measurement tool therefore needs to be developed to estimate it objectively. The purpose of this study is to develop and standardize the Korean Occupational Stress Scale (KOSS) which is considered to be unique and specific occupational stressors in Korean employees. Subjects and Methods: Data were obtained from the National Study for Development and Standardization of Occupational Stress (NSDSOS Project: 2002-2004). A total of 12,631 employees from a nationwide sample proportional to the Korean Standard Industrial Classification and the Korean Standard Occupational Classification were administered. The KOSS was developed for 2 years (2002-2004). In the first year, we collected 255 items from the most popular job stress measurement tools such as JCQ, ERI, NIOSH and OSI, and 44 items derived from the a qualitative study (depth interview). Forty-three items of KOSS, in the second year, were retained for use in the final version of the KOSS by using Delphi and factor analysis. Items were scored using conventional 1-2-3-4 Likert scores for the response categories. Results: We developed eight subscales by using factor analysis and validation process: physical environment (3 items), job demand (8 items), insufficient job control (5 items), interpersonal conflict (4 items), job insecurity (6 items), organizational system (7 items), lack of reward (6 items), and occupational climate (4 items). Together they explained 50.0% of total variance. Internal consistency alpha scores were ranged from 0.51 to 0.82. Twenty-four items of the short form of the KOSS (KOSS-SF) were also developed to estimate job stress in the work setting. Because the levels of the subscales of occupational stress were gender dependent, gender-specific standard norms for both the 43-item full version and the 24-item short form using a quartile for the subscales of KOSS were presented. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that KOSS might be an appropriate measurement scale to estimate occupational stress of Korean employees. Further and more detailed study needs to be conducted to improve the validity of this scale.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of Taekwon-do training on high school student’s emotional development. For this purpose, 651(male=334, female=317) high school student’s were select as subjects. The questionnaire that was used Kang(1996) was also used in this study. The statistics selected in this study were descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, and Schefe post hoc test. As a result of the analyses of collected data, the following conclusions were obtained: firstly, there was a significant difference in high school student's emotional development by socio-demographic variables. Secondly, high school student's fear response is different according to their level of Taekwon-do training.

      • SS400강 용접부의 파괴인성치에 관한 연구

        In this work, we studied the mechanical properties, structure and the stress intensity factor of the welded areas which were annealed from 500。C to 900。C with an interval of 100。C. The main results are as follow. 1. The as-welded specimen showed the highest tensile strength and yield point. The tensile strength and the yield point decrease as the annealing temperature increased from 500。C to 900。C, and they became smaller in the order of deposited metal, heat affected zone and base metal. 2. The hardness was maximum at about 9 mm from the welding center line, and it decreased drastically in the heat affected zone located between 9∼15mm from the center line. 3. The elongation decreased in the order of base metal, the fusion zone and heat affected zone while it increased as annealing temperature increased. 4. The stress intensity factor(S. I. F.) declined as the length of notch increased and it became smaller in the order of fusion zone, base metal and heat affected zone. This is because fracture toughness is affected by brittlization at heat affected zone as well as the initiation and propagation of cracks.

        ABSTRACT In this study, we investigate the welding characteristics, mechanical properties, stress intensity, fracture strength, and microstructure in the fusion zone of SS400 steels which were welded at four different heat inputs(10, 15, 20, and 25 KJ/cm) using either the flux cored wire (FCW) or solid wire (SW) in the CO2 welding system. Based on arc's stability, spatter, thinned-slag detachment, and bead apperance results, the mechanical properties of the FCW were much better than those of the SW. They decreased as heat increased. The increase of heat input and notch depth result in a decrease of the impact energy.

      • 고속프레스의 동특성 해석

        According to the development of semi-conductor industry, the manufacturers ask high speed press with high resolution. But high speed operation accompanies mechanical vibrations. Therefore optimized kinematic structure to minimize vibration is required for a high speed press. And the growing competition in the industry asks the cost cutting and high pressing force. A motor used in a press makes pressing force and determine manufacturing cost. This paper desires to perform dynamic analysis for a high speed press so that motor specification and kinematic structure may be downsized and that cost and vibration may be reduced. For this purpose a high speed press was modeled with 3D CAD solid modeling system and using this CAD model dynamic analyses were performed with CAE S/W for multibody dynamic analysis. Through these analyses a motor appropriate to a high speed press was selected and link structure for feeding system of the press was modified to reduce vibration.

        In this study, the crack behavior around the bonded dissimilar materials is analyzed by using by Finite Element Method(FEM) in case that it approaches or passes through the bonded line perpendicularly. The analysis criterion is based on the energy(△U) when the crack progresses or passes through the bonded line. The variables are the width of dissimilar material and distance from the crack tip to the bonded line. Values of E(Young's modulus), V(Poisson's ratio) and △U(Energy) for base material are different from those(E', V', △U') for dissimilar material. The outcome of this study is obtained by comparing △U with △U'

      • Light Scattering Study of Glass Transition Temperatures of Glucose-Water Mixtures

        We studied glass transition temperatures of glucose-water mixtures by using Brillouin light scattering. We fitted the polarized components of the Brillouin spectra measured by backscattering geometry to simple Lorentzian form and estimated the glass transition temperature from the slope of the temperature-dependent Brillouin peak shift.

        TRISS Method를 이용한 외상 환자 관리의 평가

        Trauma is well known as a major cause of death and disability in Korea, but we do not have a optimal method to evaluate the trauma patients effectively. The purpose of this study was to predict the prognosis and mortality of the trauma patients and to evaluate the quality of trauma care by TRISS method. A retrospective study of 100 cases of trauma victims who visited to emergency room and was admitted to surgical intensive care unit of Kyungpook University Hospital from January 1994 to December 1995 by TRISS method was made. In this study, we have found out following results. 1. Sex ratio of male to female was 4:1 and the mean age was 44 years. 2. Analysis of injury mechanism showed high incidences of traffic accident(71%), fall down(14%), cultivator(5%), penetrating trauma(3%) in order of frequency. 3. A comparison between survivors and deaths showed difference in TS(14.81±1.31 vs.13.64±1.43), RTS(7.26±0.82 vs. 6.78±10.24 vs. 37.45±11.05), TRISS Ps-1 TS and ISS(0.93±0.11 vs. 0.79±0,15), and TRISS Ps-2 by RTS and ISS(0.89±0.15 vs. 0.73±0.19). 4. By TRISS method, unpredicted outcomes occurred in 11 of 100 with 10 unpredicted deaths and 1 unpredicted survivor by TRISS-1 and unpredicted outcomes occurred in 14 of 100 with 9 unpredicted deaths and 5 unpredicted survivors by TRISS-2. 5. The most common cause of death was chest trauma(36.4%). 6. The Z statics, quantitating the difference in the actual number of deaths and the predicted number of death, using TRISS-1 method was 0.84 and using TRISS-2 method was -0.57. The authors conclude that the real dead patients exceeded the predicted outcome in TRISS-1 and the real dead patients were less than the predicted outcome in TRISS-2, and our patient management as well as application of this method should be analyzed for accurate outcome. In conclusion, TRISS method offers a good approach for predicting the prognosis and mortality of the trauma patient and evaluating trauma care.
