광촉매 산화반응을 이용한 트리클로로에틸렌(TCE) 처리에 관한 연구

Photocatalyzed degradation of trace level trichloroethylene(TCE) and toluene in air were carried out over near UV illuminated titanium dioxide(anatase) pellet in a flow reactor. This study was investigated the effects of humidity and oxygen. Inlet concentrations for TCE was injected with the ranges of 10~100 ppm. TCE photooxidatino was very rapid under our experimental conditions, and ~100% conversion was achieved for TCE concentration examined up to 70 ppm as a single air contaminant. An important finding was that competitive adsorption between humidity and oxygen has a significant effect on the oxidation rate.

神에 대한 硏究 : ≪黃帝內徑≫을 中心으로 focus on ≪Huangdineijing(黃帝內徑)≫

This thesis was written in order to help set the groundwork of a new medicine based on Shin(神). This new medicine is an advanced system of Hyung(形) focused western medicine and Ki(氣) oriented eastern medicine. In this thesis, I examined the text, 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》and analyzed the important points relating to Shin(神), such as classification, faculty, properties. Shin(神) in 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》is classified according to either its hierarchy or its faculty. Hierarchically, Shin(神) in 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》has two levels; "Cosmos Shin"(天神) and "Human Shin"(人神). Cosmos Shin(天神), which is the "Great Law" is the basis of creation, change, development, extinction of all things in the universe including human. "Human Shin" which represents Shin(神) at the mundane level is the "Basic Principle" of human life, speaking broadly and mental function in a narrow sense. In terms of faculty, Shin(神) in 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》is divided into Shin-myung(神明), Shin-ki(神氣) and Jeong-Shin(精神). Shin-myung(神明) is not only the "Basic Law" which has control over the movements and changes of the universe, but also the "Basic Principle" of human life. Shin-ki(神氣), it can be said, forms of Shin's expression. It means that Shin(神) reveals itself by means of Ki(氣). Jeong-Shin(精神) means mental function which dwells in the body and has a control over thinking, consciousness and judgment. In other words, Shin-myung(神明) indicates Shin's property of controlling or regulating, Shin-ki(神氣) indicates Shin's activity, and Jeong-Shin(精神) indicates both the Shin(神) and body united. In conclusion, all of the aforementioned are only classifications dividing the one Shin(神). Although the Shin may be classified according to the particular situation, it is still the one Shin.

대기 중 휘발성 유기화합물의 Advanced Technology에 대한 실험비교

Nowaday, Advanced technology has been applied to organic destruction technologies that are alternatives to incineration. Plasma, photolysis, and Photocatalytic oxidation processes are an emerging advanced technologies for the abatement of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) in atmospheric pressure air streams, so we has been used these technologies for destruction of VOCs. TCE, Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene were selected as objective materials. We have been studied each process and found many types of reaction parameters which effect on treatment efficiency. So combination processes, which are plasma-photocatalytic oxidation process and photolysis-photocatalytic oxidation process, have been used to increase destruction efficiency. Analysis of above materials and byproducts was carried out by GC-FID.

The Mark Twain-Stephen Crane-Ernest Hemingway School

Ernest Hemingway said that “all modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn". And Robert Wooster Stallman also said, “Modern American literature has its beginnings in Mark Twain and Stephen Crane" Hereupon hypothesizing a Mark Twain-Stephen Crane-Ernest Hemingway school in modern American literature, I investigated the related writers' cross influences one after another, comparing their common careers and resemblances in their theme, techniques:styles, symbolism, etc. with one another's. Thus I tried to testify the reasons why and how the above three novelists have correlationship and influences one another whose influences are still prevailing among even the present-day novelists called the terse, laconic school.

This study has been carried out to evaluate the effect on desulfurization of flue gas by Mg(OH)₂in steam-power cogeneration plant. We investigated the effects of desulfurizatin on the temperature of flue gas and pH of circulation water in aborber. The desulfurization installations of flue gas in cogeneration and thermoelectric power plant will be increased every year because of stricted environmental regulation in Korea. Some conclusions obtained are summerized as follows ; 1. With regard to running cost, Mg(OH)₂ absorbent for desulfurization of flue gas snowed more economic than Ca(OH)₂. 2. While bunker-C oil with 1.6% sulfur was used, desulfurization of flue gas by Mg(OH)₂ was performed and then SO₂ content in the exhausted gas was under 50 ppm. 3. In flue gas desulfurization, the optimum condition on the temperature and pH was 55-60℃ and 6 respectively, then efficiency was 96%.

WILLA CATHER의 鄕愁 : My Antonia를 中心으로 Concentrating on My Antonia

Willa Cather, novelist of the Prairie, presents My Antonia, the most autobiographical of her Nebraska novels, in the form of a memoir written by a New York lawyer, Jim Burden, more than 20 years after his boy­hood association with Antonia Shimerda, daughter of a Czech family that has immigrated from Bohemia to a farm in Nebraska. The story is not a common love story, but on the whole reminiscences of the past times, past glories,past joys and past tragedies between the Burdens and the Shimerdas, concentrat ing on Jim Burden, an orphan boy, and Antonia Shimerda, four years senior to him. Hence this story could be interpreted as a phase of the concrete and detailed inside history of Americanism, how the melting pot had spontaneously molded the various immigrants' nostalgia into Americanism without forcing them to desert their original nostalgia for their respective native lands. On the other hand the vicissitudes of her life also symbolize the procession of the United States' development.

Stephen Crane의 創作方法에 있어서의 二元性

Stephen Crane is the herald of the twentieth-century revolution in American 1iterature as the writer of the first complete1y naturalistic novel, Maggie: A Girl of the Streets and the first example of modern American impressionism, The Red Badge of Courage dealing with slums, prostitution, alcholism, vice, poverty, crime, and other unpleasant subjects, and portraying war realistically from the view-point of the individual soldier with a wholy imaginary construction, since the author had never been in any military engagement which were associated with the hard boiled schoo1 of naturalism. Crane's two greatest works-Tha Red Badge of Courage and The Open Boat-represent two opposite methods of creation: from imagined experience and from actual experience.On the contrary to his theory that the artist can write about life only after first experiencing it, Crane reproduced the immediacies of battle in The Red Badge of Courage long before he had seen and suffered actual shellfire, while the single marve1 he wrung from personal experience was The Open Boat, and the marve1 of it is that he manipulated the who1e experience into art without altering the facts. My interest in his methods of creation is concentrated on what kinds of sources and how his imaginations were conceived: his imaginations were derived from the reproductive imaginations of conversations with veterans of the Civil War, readings-the Bib1e, Bierce, Kipling, Poe, Twain, Tolstoyl, the four vo1umes of Battles and Leaders of the Civil War written almost exclusive1y by veterans Colone1 Hinman's Si Klegg, andothers-and in what he inherited from experiences on the diamond and on the gridiron, mixed with creative imaginations.
