      • 관상동맥 질환에서 SDF-1α의 농도

        Atherosclerosis is now viewed as an inflammatory disease of the vascular system. Expression of several chemokines, including monocyte chemoattractant protein(MCP)-1, MCP-4, RANTES(regulated on activation normal T-cell expressed and secreted), and interleukin-8(IL-8) are increased in human atherosclerotic plaques compared with normal vessels. They are involved in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and plaque rupture by activating and directing leukocytes into the atherosclerotic lesions. However, some are involved in homeostatic functions such as normal leukocyte traffic and growth regulation. SDF-la is a multi-functional cytokine that is involved in myelogenesis, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis and injured gastric mucosal regeneration in the gastric ulcer patient. SDF-la is recently shown to be highly expressed in atherosclerotic plaques and a potent platelet agonist. At least in high concentrations, SDF-la may mediate antiinflammatory and matrix stabilizing effects in unstable angina. Many studies are going on to know the function of SDF-la in coronary artery diseases. I investigated the difference of the plasma level of SDF-la between control group and coronary artery disease group. Total 75 subjects were enrolled. The diagnosis of coronary artery disease was confirmed in all patients by coronary angiography. Control subjects in this study were confirmed normal by coronary angiography. Clinical profile and risk factors were also reviewed. Control subjects in this study were 27 (M=10, F=17). Plasma for the study was collected before the angiography and centrifuged. SDF-la analysis was performed by ELISA. Plasma level of SDF-la is significantly increased in patients with stable angina(n=20) and unstable angina group(n=28) compared with healthy control group(n=27). the risk factors do not influence the plasma level of SDF-la in coronary artery diseases. In this study, plasma level of SDF-la is increased in patients with stable angina and unstable angina groups compared with healthy control group(P<0.05). the risk factors do not influence the plasma level of SDF-la in coronary artery diseases.

        관류 심장과 심장 세포에서 Insulin에 의한 Mg^(2+) 유리 조절

        It is well known that β-adrenergic stimulation increases the intracelluar cAMP concentration through activation of adenylate cyclase (AC) and evokes marked Mg^(2+) release in the heart, liver, and kidney. The goal of this study was to investigate the effect of insulin on isoproterenol (ISO), norepinephrine (NE), forskolin (FOS), cAMP, or dimaprit (DMP) induced Mg^(2+) efflux from the perfused rat or guinea pig heart and isolated myocytes. We hypothesized that insulin would regulate Mg^(2+) efflux induced by AC activators and cAMP analogues because insulin activates phosphodiesterase (PDE) in the hearts. The Mg^(2+) content in the perfusate was significantly higher in the presence than in the absence of insulin. The addition of ISO, NE, FOS, or cAMP to perfused rat or guinea pig heart and isolated myocytes induced a marked Mg^(2+) efflux. These effluxes were inhibited by insulin. The Mg^(2+) efflux could also be induced by DMP, a histamine H2-receptor agonist, in the perfused guinea pig heart and isolatd myocytes. This effect was also inhibited by insulin. In rat heart and myocytes, the histamine H2-receptor agonist had no effect on Mg^(2+) efflux. In conclusion, these data suggest that insulin regulates Mg^(2+) homeostasis and the inhibitory effect of insulin on adrenoceptor-stimulation or AC activation induced Mg^(2+) efflux may occur through a regulation of cAMP pathway in rat and guinea pig hearts.

      • 環境要因이 在來種 煙草의 精油成分 發現에 미치는 影響

        The content of volatile acids such as 2.3-methylbutanoic acid and 3-methylpentanoic acid known as the major components influencing on tobacco aroma similar in both Hyangcho, a local variety, and Xanthi Basma, an oriental variety. Hyangcho contained 4.14 and 3.40mg/100g of 2.3-methyl butanoic acid and 3-methylpentanoic acid, respectively. However, these components of Hyangcho was about 80% of KA 101 and Izmir, the oriental varieties. In addition, volatile neutural compounds such as benzyl alcohol, 2-phenylethyl alcohol, solanone, β-damascene and ionone were also higher in Hyangcho than those of other local varieties. The early transplanting increased the volatile acid contents such as 2.3-methylbutanoic, 3-methylpentanoic acid and solanone etc. Volatile organic acids such as 3-methylpentanoic acids decreased under high soil moisture content.

        The coupled finite element method and boundary element method is applied to 2 dimensional elastic contact problem. Coupling the FEM and BEM is achieved by using the non-symmetric method which is a boundary element-like approach. In order to verify the method, the problems of simple cantilever beam and infinite plate with a circular hole are analysed. The results obtained the proposed method are compared with other numerical and analytic solutions, they are coincided well.

        커버플레이트형 RCS 접합부의 전단저항 기여도에 대한 유한요소 해석

        The purpose of this study is to evaluate the structural performance of RCS joint with cover plates. Each participating component to shear resistance was analyzed by FEA. Among three experimental test specimens selected from the previous literatures, two specimens are the cover plate type and the other one is the transverse tie bar type. The cover plate type specimens have band plates over steel flanges and cover plates around the joint. The specimens were modeled with solid elements for concrete and shell elements for steel beam, FBP, E-FBP, band plate and cover plate. The reinforcing bars were assumed to be smeared into concrete. The FEA showed that cover plates provide high capability of shear resistance while reducing crushing of outer concrete. The FBP can resist about 10% of joint shear regardless of joint details. The FEA showed that the cover plate in RCS joint can contribute to increase the capability of outer components which consisted with outer concrete, cover plate or transverse tie, FBP. However, the inner components of the transverse tie bar type provided about 70% of shear resistance. FEA results also showed that ASCE and Kanno's equations may underestimate the contribution of outer elements and the cover plates.

        셀레콕시브 및 그 합성유도체들의 항암활성 스크리닝

        Selective COX (cyclooxygenase)-2 inhibitors including celecoxib have been shown to induce apoptosis and cell cycle changes in various tumor cells. New inhibitors are recently being developed as chemomodulating agents. We evaluated celecoxib and screened 150 synthetic compounds for anti-proliferative activities in vitro. Effects of celecoxib on COX activity, cell growth, cell cycle distribution, and apoptosis induction were determined in A549 COX-2 overexpressing human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells. The COX inhibition of celecoxib increased with concentration up to 82% at 1μM after 24 hr exposure. Forty μM and 50μM of celecoxib induce G_1 arrest, and TUNEL-positive apoptotic cells, respectively. Among 150 compounds, several compounds were selected for having greater COX-2 inhibitory activity and higher selectivity than celecoxib with growth inhibitory activity. Celecoxib showed concentration-dependent COX inhibitory activity, and ability to induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in human NSCLC cells in vitro. Among synthetic analogues screened, several compounds showed promising in vitro activity as COX-2 inhibitory anticancer agents, which warrant further evaluation in vitro and in vivo.

        Ti-6Al-4V 합금의 표면개질에 의한 calcium phosphate의 형성

        The purpose of this study os to investigate the formation of calcium phosphate on Ti-6Al-4V surface on aqueous solutions containing phosphate and calcium ions. The surface of Ti-6Al-4V specimens were treated in phosphate buffered solutions for 3 days followed by immersion in calcium phosphate buffered solutions for 10 days. These solutions have different concentration and pH(pH 5.8, 7.0, 8.0) one another. Then, the specimens treated with P and Ca ions and control group without surface treatment were immersed in Hanks' balanced solution for 30 days to make sure the effectiveness of this surface treatment. All specimens were characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffractometry(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry(FT-IR). The amount of crystallized particles formed on the specimens by surface treatment was significantly increased in all experimental conditions as compared with that immersed only in Hanks' solution. Dense granular shaped precipitates were observed on the surface and these particles were recognized as calcium phosphate similar to HA(hydroxyapatite) or TCP(tri-calcium phosphate).

        한국판 임상가용 아동 및 청소년을 위한 외상후 스트레스장애 척도의 신뢰도 및 타당도 연구

        Objectives : This present study was conducted to explore the reliability and the validity of Clinician Administered PTSD Scale for Children and Adolescents Korean version (CAPS-CA) Mcthods : The Subjects were children and adolescents (8-13yrs) from different places: a certain elementary school, three orphanages, a general hospital, and two neuropsychiathc local clinics. Only subjects who experienced a catastrophic traumatic event were tested by CAPS-CA, CDI, RCMAS, and TSC. Rcsults : The range of correlations between item-criterion were .67-.84. The coefficients of internal consistency were .87. and test-retest reliability was .90, were all the coefficients in the proper range. Inter-correlations of CAPS-CA, CDI, RCMAS, and TSC scale showed significant correlation. TSC showed the highest correlation coefficient. CAPS-CA can be a useful clinician-administered diagnostic instrument for children and adolescents PTSD symptoms. Conclusion : The reliability and the validity of CAPS-CA were confirmed. CAPS-CA could be applied for diagnostic purposes of PTSD in children and adolescents.
