Note on Stochastic Orders through Length Biased Distributions

We consider Y = X + λZ, λ > 0, where X and Z are independent random variables, and Y is the length biased distribution or the equilibrium distribution of X. The purpose of this paper is to consider the distribution of X or Y when the distribution of Z is given and the distribution of Z when the distribution of X or Y is given, In particular, we obtain that the necessary and sufficient conditions for X lobe χ²(v) is Z ∼ χ²(2) and for Z to be χ²(1) is X ∼ IG(μ, μ²/λ), where IG(μ, μ²/λ) is two-parameter inverse Gaussian distribution. Also we show that X is smaller than Y in the reverse Laplace transform ratio order if and only if X<sub>e</sub> is smaller than X<sub>e</sub> in the Laplace transform ratio order. Finally, we can get the results that if X is smaller than Y in the Laplace transform ratio order, then Y<sub>L</sub> is smaller than X<sub>L</sub> in the Laplace transform order, and that if X is smaller than Y in the reverse Laplace transform ratio order, then <sub>μ</sub>X<sub>L</sub> is smaller than <sub>υ</sub>Y<sub>L</sub> in the Laplace transform order.

Various aspects of this concepts are described in terms of conditional probability distribution of residual life times, failure rates, equilibrium distributions, etc. In this paper we will consider some partial ordering relations of life distribution under residual life functions and equilibrium distributions.

본 논문에서는 편귀를 가지는 반사 브라운 운동 과정, 기하 브라운 운동과정, 그리고 자승 브라운 운동 과정을 소개하고 그에 따른 분포와 라플라스 변형을 이용하여 2차 적률을 구하였다. 그리고 편귀를 갖지 않을때 3종류의 브라운 운동 과정에서 결합 분포 함수와 반사 원리를 이용하여 어떤 장벽에 처음 도달하는 시간 분포 함수를 구하였다.

정상 증분을 갖는 확률 과정은 시점에 독립성을 가지나 비정상 증분을 갖는 확률 과정은 시점에 종속되어 있다. 비정상 증분을 갖는 확률 과정에 대해서 대부분 표본 통로의 크기에 제한을 두고 생각 하였다. 본 논문에서는 m-절단 확률 과정을 소개하고 그 성질들을 연구 하였고 원과정의 성질들과 m-절단 과정의 성질들을 비교 연구 하였다.

A Note on Linkage on Computer Languages

우리들은 전자계산기의 사용목적, FILE의 구성, 주기억장치의 크기, CPU Time등을 고려해서 한가지 언어를 사용 한다. IBM 사에서 계발한 PL/1 언어는 COBOL과 FORTRAN 언어의 병행이 가능하다. 그러나 본인이 사용해온UNIVAC 90/30 계열의 Computer는 그러한 언어는 없었다. 한편 COBOL과 FORTRAN언어에는 제각기 언어의 특성이 있다. 그러면 이 특성을 살리기 위해서 언어들을 어떻게 연결시킬 것인냐?를 생각해 보았다. 이렇게 하므로 해서 잇점이 무엇인가를 조사해 보았다. 첫째, 각 언어에 사용되는 자료를 재구성하지 않고 한번만 읽어 연산 하므로 I/O 시간을 줄일 수 있다. 둘째, Output Spooling System을 이용 해서 Subprogram에서 연산 결과치를 구분에서 얻을수 있다. 이렇게 하므로 해서 잇점은 컴퓨터 사용 시간을 줄일 수 있다. 컴퓨터 사용자는 I/O bound job에서는 이러한 잇점을 최대로 활용 해야만 한다. In view of the present trend that computers and their languages are increasingly varied, the users, being offered the variety of choices among them, are not likely to make the best use of the one which they have chosen. The purpose of this paper is to suggest an effective way of linking the computer languages, and their resultant advantages. Among various languages such as COBOL, FORTRAN, ASSEMBLER, RPG, PL/1 etc., the users have been restricted to one of them depending on the purposes, the organization of files, the size of main storage, and CPU time. In case of PL/1 supported by IBM company, it is possible to use both COBOL and FORTRAN together. But in UNIVAC 90/ 30 series, more than one language have not been corporated. We have studied the possible linkage of languages in UNIVAC 90/30 series to obtain the following results: Either COBOL or FORTRAN as a main program, and in either case COBOL, FORTRAN, and ASSEMBLER as subprograms. We also explored their advantages in that kind of linkage. First, it is possible to read the data filed without reorganizing them. Second, it is possible to put the data processed in subprogram without rereading them by way of output spooling system. Third, it is also possible to separated the output. Thus the three advantages above enable us to minimize the computer performance. In addition, it is noticeable that the dummy section was used in ASSEMBLER language. The users are required in i/o bound job to take a special consideration the above results obtained. The following examples are the simple methods of linkages on computer languages.
