과학자에 대한 초등학교 일반 학생과 과학 영재반 학생의 인식 비교 분석
김소형,박재일,정진수,이혜정,권용주,박국태 한국초등과학교육학회 2005 초등과학교육 Vol.24 No.1
This study was designed to compare the understanding of ordinary elementary school students and scientifically gifted students about scientists. 473 fourth, fifth, and sixth graders in ordinary elementary schools and 40 students attending scientific educational institutions for the gifted were studied with the help of questionnaires and interviews. The survey showed that there were no significant differences between the two subject groups in relation to the external images of scientists. The subjects turned out to have four fixed external images. The scientifically gifted students had a better understanding of the internal images of scientists than ordinary elementary school students. Both the subject groups turned out to be influenced by the press media and off-campus education, thinking that scientists served as inventors producing something useful in daily life rather than as researchers studying natural phenomena or laws. It was found out that both groups admired Edison. The ordinary students respected Einstein and Jang Yeong-Sil whereas the scientifically gifted students respected Curie, Jang Yeong-Sil, and Nobel. The subjects admired them because of their achievements instead of their backgrounds or individual characteristics.

Background : Aim of this study is focused on the analysis of the needed abilities of medical representatives resulting in building up the market and increasing sales. It is to propose methods to increase this ability ensuring continuous growth in market share and profit. Methods : A survey was conducted between January 6 and May 31, 2003. Using SPSS(Version 10.0), the collected data was analyzed by Hotelling T2, factor analysis. Some hypotheses were selected to include the conclusion. Some questionnaires for physicians working in hospitals or clinics and the medical representatives working in a pharmaceutical company were created and asked to them to either prove or reject those hypotheses. The results were analyzed to find the primary factors that effect the interactions between physician and the medical representatives. These factors were also studied along with the theoretical research based on published references. Results : The results were as follows. The main reasons for the physician to meet with a medical representatives were collection of product informations needed for patient treatment and collection of informations on current medical issue and as well as personal interests. The main parameters by which physicians evaluate the medical representatives are human relationship including sincerity and manners and supply of accurate and unbiased information on products. Overall, the medical representatives’ perception on the importance of medical knowledge and ability to deliver it are lower than that expected by physicians. Conclusion : Medical and pharmaceutical companies’ environment are changed rapidly. And those changes forced medical representatives to set new roles and competency. In order to drive away from the past ‘rule of thumb’ and ‘adaptation to circumstance’, optimal method and systemic development to train and support the medical representatives should be quipped. They will help ,medical representatives to be specialists in medical knowledge and to understand the exact need of health care professions. Product competitiveness will be increased and eventually successful business can be achieved through it.
움직이는 물체의 거리 및 속도 측정을 위한 고전력 쏘나 시스템 개발

This paper aims for the development of the high power sonar system for measuring the distance and the velocity of a moving object. The high power sonar system transmits two gated 190 KHz sinusoidal signals with 1.6〔ms〕 time interval to the moving object. Then the sonar system detects and calculates the changed time delay of the reflected ultrasonic signals in order to derive the velocity of the moving object. The transmission part uses a high power amplifier so that 250W gated sinusoidal signals can be transmitted to the transmitter. 1M RAM is utilized for transmitting and storing of the ultrasonic signals. The time delay is calculated by the cross-correlation technique between the transmitted signals and the received signals. The measured value from the high power sonar system is compared with directly measured values by photo diodes. The result confirms the adjacency to 0.3% error.

Nowadays, as the industrial technology and instrumentation are developed, the interest of the characteristic improvement of sound absorbing materials is rising. Recently new sound absorbing materials are being developed and manufactured for commercialization. But most of sound absorbing materials are polymer-typed or are fabricated by polymers (mixtures of polymer and glass fiber, asbestos...) for better physical characteristic. However, there was not much research about sound absorption change by the change of the ionic nature. In this paper, I composed polymers that include alkaline or acid, or other polymer that have the ionic nature to improve sound absorption characteristic and searched the characteristic pattern of the sound absorption of polymer. I used probe microphone instead of 1/4 condenser microphone such as two- microphone method in order to measure in-duct absorption coefficient of specimen of ionomers that are thin and small so that measuring absorption coefficient is not well defined.

Background: Ginseng (Panax ginseng Meyer) is an essential source of pharmaceuticals and functionalfoods. Ginseng productivity has been compromised by high light (HL) stress, which is one of the majorabiotic stresses during the ginseng cultivation period. The genetic improvement for HL tolerance inginseng could be facilitated by analyzing its genetic and molecular characteristics associated with HLstress. Methods: Genome-wide analysis of gene expression was performed under HL and recovery conditions in1-year-old Korean ginseng (P. ginseng cv. Chunpoong) using the Illumina HiSeq platform. After de novoassembly of transcripts, we performed expression profiling and identified differentially expressed genes(DEGs). Furthermore, putative functions of identified DEGs were explored using Gene Ontology termsand Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genome pathway enrichment analysis. Results: A total of 438 highly expressed DEGs in response to HL stress were identified and selected from29,184 representative transcripts. Among the DEGs, 326 and 114 transcripts were upregulated anddownregulated, respectively. Based on the functional analysis, most upregulated and a significantnumber of downregulated transcripts were related to stress responses and cellular metabolic processes, respectively. Conclusion: Transcriptome profiling could be a strategy to comprehensively elucidate the genetic andmolecular mechanisms of HL tolerance and susceptibility. This study would provide a foundation fordeveloping breeding and metabolic engineering strategies to improve the environmental stress toleranceof ginseng.
