        敬山 宋伯玉의 選文觀과 문장비평 연구 - 經香薇露 를 중심으로-

        敬山 宋伯玉(1837~1887)은 19세기 말의 古文 문장가로 인정받은 眉山 韓章錫(1832~1894)과 적어도 1865년 교유하면서부터 돈독한 친분을 쌓게 되었다. 이 교분을 계기로 송백옥은 1873년에 한장석의 초기 문장을 선집하여 經香薇露 를 편찬하였고 평점도 가하였다. 본고는 연세대학교 소장 경향미로 의 편찬 체재와 선집에 보이는 송백옥의 비평적 시각을 중심으로 논의를 전개하고자 한다. 송백옥은 경향미로 를 1873년에 단권으로 편찬했으며 1874년과 1883년에 두 차례에 걸쳐 내용을 증보하면서 재편집하였다. 경향미로 에는 54편의 한장석의 문장이 있다. 그중에 「答宋景瑗書」, 「題徐汝心南游錄後」, 「祭徐汝心文」, 「石樓詩卷序」 등 4편은 한장석의 眉山集 에도 기재됐으나 내용상의 차이가 많다. 또한 「送閔景平宰洪川序」, 「與李幼文書」, 「答金海史尺牘」, 「空谷操寄贈小黎子」, 「松隱說」, 「書楊孝子建碑事」, 「科擧篇」, 「三日湖記」, 「萬物肖記」, 「海山小史引」, 「韓稚綏答書」 등 11편은 미산집 에 수록되지 않은 작품도 있다. 「삼일호기」, 「만물초기」, 「해산소사인」 등의 세 편은 한장석이 1865년에 지은 海山小史 에 보인다. 경향미로 의 서문과 범례에서는 한장석의 문장에 대한 총평뿐만 아니라, 송백옥 자신의 문장관과 選文觀을 강조하는 대목도 있다. 그 결과, 송백옥은 문장을 기예로 인식하면서도 사회적 效用이란 측면에도 주목한다. 그의 선문관은 문장관과 긴밀하게 연관이 있다. 그는 ‘古文’을 ‘今文’으로 인식하고 韓愈의 ‘古文精神’을 지향하여 문장 창작과 選篇에 정련함을 중시했다. 송백옥은 한장석이 기상보다 문사에 뛰어나며 특히 그는 이따금 歐陽脩 및 曾鞏과 막상막하일 정도로 의론적인 문장에 재능이 있다고 평가했다. 송백옥은 평점을 38편에 붙였는데 대체로 字眼, 문장의 결구ㆍ구성 및 전개, 형식적 수사의 용법이나 묘사나 비유, 힘찬 단언이나 警策, 작품의 형식미, 좋은 의미를 지니는 문구들 등의 기준을 두고 비평한 것이다. Song Baek-ok (宋伯玉, 1837-1887) had a close relationship with Han Jang-seok (韓章錫, 1832-1894), who was acknowledged as ancient prose style writer in the late 19th century. As a result of this denomination, Song Baek-ok compiled the anthology Gyeonghyangmiro (經香薇露) in 1873 by selecting the early sentences of Han Jang-seok and add commentaries (評點). This paper aims to develop a discussion focusing on Song Baek-ok's critical perspective in the compilation and arrangement of the anthology of Gyeonghyangmiro which is housed in the collection Yonsei University. Song Baek-ok compiled the Gyeonghyangmiro in a single volume in 1873 and re-edited it by adding the contents twice in 1874 and 1883. In the Gyeonghyangmiro there are 54 sentences of Han Jang-seok. Among them, four were written in Han Jang-seok's collection of works, Misan-jib (眉山集), but there are many differences in content. There are eleven works who are not included in Misan-jib (「送閔景平宰洪川序」, 「與李幼文書」, 「答金海史尺牘」, 「空谷操寄贈小黎子」, 「松隱說」, 「書楊孝子建碑事」, 「科擧篇」, 「三日湖記」, 「萬物肖記」, 「海山小史引」, 「韓稚綏答書」). But, three of the are in his Haesan-sosa (海山小史) which Han Jang-seok wrote in 1865. In the preface and legend of Gyeonghyangmiro, there is not only a general review of Han Jang-seok's literary, but also a section that emphasises Song Baek-ok's own view on belles-lettres and anthologising. As a result, Song Baek-ok recognises belles-lettres as an art and pays attention to the aspect of social effectiveness. His view on literary works and anthology are closely related. Following Han Yu’s ‘ancient-style spirit’, Song Baek-ok recognised ‘ancient-style prose’(古文) as ‘today-style prose’(今文) and emphasised cultivation and refinement in sentence creation and anthologising literary works. Song Baek-ok evaluated that Han Jang-seok is better in literary expression than giving a vigorous aura in his works, in particular, he is talented in controversial sentences that are sometimes close to Ouyang Xiu and Zheng Gong. Song Baek-ok comment 38 of the works of Han Jang-seok, primarily evaluating them based on criteria such as word choice, sentence structure and development, use of formal syntax, description or metaphor, vigorous assertion or suggestion, formal aesthetics of the work, meaningful expressions.

        The Bullet Launcher with A Pneumatic System to Detect Objects by Unique Markers

        A bullet launcher can be developed as a smart instrument, especially for use in the military section, that can track, identify,detect, mark, lock, and shoot a target by implementing an image-processing system. In this research, the application of objectrecognition system, laser encoding as a unique marker, 2-dimensional movement, and pneumatic as a shooter has been studiedintensively. The results showed that object recognition system could detect various colors, patterns, sizes, and laser blinking.Measuring the average error value of the object distance by using the camera is ±4, ±5, and ±6% for circle, square and triangleform respectively. Meanwhile, the average accuracy of shots on objects is 95.24% and 85.71% in indoor and outdoor conditionsrespectively. Here, the average prototype response time is 1.11 s. Moreover, the highest accuracy rate of shooting results at 50cm was obtained 98.32%.

        PROCESSING “REPRESENTATIVE CHARGE”: EMBODIED LISTENING AND LUCIANO BERIO’S VISAGE

        전자음향 음악에 관한 문헌들은 대개 계몽주의 시대의 정신/신체 이원론을 강조하는 장르를 만들어 감상하는 정신적 과정에 주요하게 초점을 맞추는 경향이 있다. 이 연구는 전자음향 음악을 만들고 경험하는 모습을 구현하는 관점으로 이해를 제공하고자 한다. 루치아노 베리오Luciano Berio의 얼굴Visage에 대한 음향 재료 및 평판 역사를 분석함으로써, 저자는 작품의 창작 및 수용 시 정신적, 신체적 과정, 느낌과 감각 사이에서 이어져온 연결을 조명한다. 이러한 정신-신체의 연결은 인성 및 전자음향의 두 소리 모두에 부과되어, 사람의 신체에 의해 만들어지는 소리를 넘어선 그 외의 구현까지 경험을 심화시키고 확장한다. 이 분석은 전자음향 음악의 구체화된 경험에 대한 향후 연구를 위한 체계와 방법을 제시할 것이다. Literature on electroacoustic music has tended to focus primarily on the mental processes of creating and listening to the genre, reinforcing an Enlightenment-era mind/body dualism. This study offers insights into the embodied aspects of producing and experiencing electroacoustic music. Through an analysis of the sonic material and reception history of Luciano Berio’s Visage, the author illuminates the connections retained between mental and physical processes and sensations in the production and reception of the piece. These mental-physical connections attach to both vocal and electronic sounds, complicating and extending experiences of embodiment beyond sounds produced by human bodies. The analysis offers frameworks and avenues for future research into the embodied experience of electroacoustic music.

        Preconcentration and determination of Cu (II) from aqueous samples using functionalized sawdust and comparison with synthetic functionalized sorbents

        The efficiency of indigenous functionalized sorbent (sawdust functionalized with polyaniline) was compared with synthetic functionalized sorbents (Dowex functionalized with 8-hydroxyquinoline (Dowex-8HQ) and α-nitroso-β-naphthol (Dowex-αNβN)) for preconcentration and determination of Cu (II) from aqueous samples. The synthetic functionalized sorbents and indigenous functionalized sorbent were characterized using FTIR. Different parameters like pH, equilibration time and sample volume were investigated for maximum sorption of Cu (II). Isotherm studies showed that the sorption data fitted well into Langmuir isotherm for the sawdust functionalized with polyaniline. Freundlich isotherm was followed for Dowex-8HQ and Dowex-αNβN. Four types of kinetic equations were applied to the data,and it was observed that sorption of Cu (II) followed second-order kinetics. Thermodynamically, the sorption of Cu (II)on these three sorbents was found to be exothermic and spontaneous. For maximum recovery of Cu (II) from loaded sorbents, different parameters like shaking time, eluent type, concentration and volume were investigated, and 89%Cu (II) was recovered from loaded sawdust functionalized with polyaniline and Dowex-8HQ. The interference studies showed the selectivity of sawdust functionalized with polyaniline for Cu (II) in comparison to synthetic functionalized sorbents. Thus, Cu (II) can be easily removed from aqueous samples in the presence of foreign ions.

        Conversion of waste polystyrene through catalytic degradation into valuable products

        Waste expanded polystyrene (EPS) represents a source of valuable chemical products like styrene andother aromatics. The catalytic degradation was carried out in a batch reactor with a mixture of polystyrene (PS) andcatalyst at 450 oC for 30 min in case of Mg and at 400 oC for 2 h both for MgO and MgCO3 catalysts. At optimum degradationconditions, EPS was degraded into 82.20±3.80 wt%, 91.60±0.20 wt% and 81.80±0.53 wt% liquid with Mg,MgO and MgCO3 catalysts, respectively. The liquid products obtained were separated into different fractions by fractionaldistillation. The liquid fractions obtained with three catalysts were compared, and characterized using GC-MS. Maximumconversion of EPS into styrene monomer (66.6 wt%) was achieved with Mg catalyst, and an increase in selectivityof compounds was also observed. The major fraction at 145 oC showed the properties of styrene monomer. The resultsshowed that among the catalysts used, Mg was found to be the most effective catalyst for selective conversion intostyrene monomer as value added product.

        Labour of Love: Fan Labour, BTS, and South Korean Soft Power

        With the steady rise in global popularity of the Korean music group BTS, the South Korean government and surrounding industries have swiftly begun utilizing their image and international recognition for specific nation branding purposes. While K-pop soft power strategies are not novel to the South Korean state, what is new is the rapid speed at which BTS have become a beacon for South Korean culture, language, and symbolism in the international arena. However, few scholarly works have sought to investigate the role fans have played in this heightened position for the group as state representatives, with minimal research conducted into the work fans do within the framework of ARMY fan culture. This paper will thus aim to fill the gap in scholarship on ARMY as an organized labour network, focusing on the role fans play as labourers in online spaces that work to promote, disseminate, and cultivate wider recognition for BTS as artists. Through the conjunct engagement of a political economy framework and theories of participatory culture, this paper will explore the manner through which the free labour of ARMY, premised on affect, has constructed the fandom as active agents of soft power alongside BTS themselves.

      • COMPETITION FOR TRANSHIPMENT CONTAINERS BY MAJOR PORTS IN SOUTHEAST

        Container ports in Southeast Asia accounted for an estimated 30.0% of the world’s transhipment traffic in 2004. The share of the region’s transhipment trade was forecasted to increase to 32.5% in 2015. The potential offered by this large and expanding market encouraged major container terminal operators located in Port Klang, Singapore and Tanjung Pelepas to compete intensively for this business by attracting major container shipping lines that operated along key east-west sailing routes to hub at their terminals. This study analyses the annual slot capacity connected to the three selected ports understudy deployed by all the shipping lines in 1999 - 2004. The data are computed and categorized based on shipping trade routes. The study aims to shed light on port competition in Southeast Asia for transhipment containers by an in-depth and quantitative analysis. The analysis finds that competition from Port Klang and Tanjung Pelepas had a negative impact on Singapore’s transhipment performance. Although Singapore continued to enjoy a dominant position as the premier transhipment hub in the region in terms of market share by both transhipment throughput and annualised slot capacity, the evidence suggested that its hold on the market appeared to be slipping, albeit gradually. Overall, Tanjung Pelepas is expected to pose the strongest challenge to Singapore’s transhipment hub ambitions. Managerial implications for the ports are drawn.

        Catalytic activity of metal impregnated catalysts for degradation of waste polystyrene

        Waste disposal by degradation to selective and desirable products is the major challenge of our modern society. The current study presents cheap, easily achievable, and novel impregnated catalysts on alumina (Al2O3) support for the degradation of waste polystyrene (WPS) into value added products like toluene, ethylbenzene, styrene monomer, and dimer etc. Al2O3 impregnated catalysts were characterized by SEM, XRD, and N2 adsorption/desorption and their catalytic activities were investigated in the degradation of WPS. The WPS degradation experiments were carried out in a batch reactor at 450 ℃. The yield of liquid and styrene monomer was creased with metal impregnated catalysts as compared to nonimpregnated alumina and thermal degradation. Higher yield of liquid and styrene monomer was obtained with 20% Zn–Al2O3 catalyst, 91.54 and 62.88 wt.%, respectively. Impregnation substantially changed the acidity and catalytic properties of alumina in WPS degradation and carbanion may lead to high yield of styrene monomer. The impregnated catalysts performance in terms of high yield of styrene monomer is Zn–Al2O3 > Cu–Al2O3 > Mg–Al2O3 = Al–Al2O3 > Fe–Al2O3 > Al2O3 > thermal.
