Evaluating Corrosion Resistance of Biomedical Ti-6Al-4 V Alloys Fabricated via Additive Manufacturing Using Electrochemical Critical Localized Corrosion Potential

High entropy alloys (HEAs) have received tremendous attention in diferent applications because of their excellent corrosion resistance and superior mechanical properties. In the present work, a novel TiNbMoMnFe high entropy alloy systemwas synthesized and deposited on AISI 316L by DC magnetron sputtering system. The microstructure of the resulting thinflm was evaluated by grazing incidence X-ray difraction and feld emission electron microscope. It was found that the thinflm microstructure is composed of a crystalline solid solution (grain size of 76 nm) and an amorphous phase. The electrochemical investigations in Ringer’s solution revealed that a thin flm of 670 nm thick high entropy alloy has a low corrosioncurrent density of 0.024 μA cm−2, approximately 30% lower than that of the uncoated 316L. Meanwhile, the HEA thin flmshowed the highest pitting corrosion resistance and stability of the passive flm. The wettability examinations exhibited thatthe coated sample has a high contact angle of 90° in contrast to 60° for the uncoated ones. In summary, the TiNbMoMnFehigh entropy alloy thin flm shows great potential for use in biomaterial applications.

Two new records of the genus Nola Leach, 1815 (Lepidoptera: Nolidae, Nolinae) from Laos

The genus Nola (Nolidae, Nolinae) was established by Leach (1815), with the Noctua palliola Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775 (a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena cucullatella Linnaeus, 1758) from Vienna, Austria. Nola comprises over 200 species: Africa and western Palearctic approximately described 100 speices (Hacker et al., 2012); Oriental and Eastern Palearctic regions have over 100 species (László et al., 2010; Sasaki et al., 2011; Kononenko and Pinratana, 2013). Two species of the genus Nola Leach; Nola euryzonata (Hampson, 1900) and Nola lucidalis (Walker, 1865), reported for the first time in Laos. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of all the examined species are provided.

보디빌딩 선수들의 시합 전·후 신체조성과 체력 및 혈관탄성도 변화와 영양섭취 실태연구

The purpose of this study were to investigate a study of body composition, physical fitness, change of vascular compliance and nutrient intake status a before and after bodybuilders match. In this study, participants were 6 bodybuilders. The analyzed data brought about the following results by using paired t-test with SPSS 20.0. The results of the research were as follows. In to body weight and BMI were significantly increased but sit and reach were significantly decreased after match. There was non significantly difference in vascular compliance. Calories, lipids, carbohydrates, fiber and ash had significantly increased after match than before match. Calcium, iron, sodium, potassium, vitamin A, retinol, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, niacin, vitamin C, vitamin E had significantly increased after match than before match. Therefore, Bodybuilders need correct regular diet habit and exercise prescription after match. 본 연구는 B광역시 남자 보디빌딩 선수 6명을 대상으로 신체조성, 체력, 혈관탄성도 및 영양소 섭취상태를 시합 전·후를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 자료처리는 SPSS 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 paired t-test를 실시하였고, 연구결과에서 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 시합전에 비해 시합후에 체중과 BMI는 유의하게 증가하였고, 유연성은 유의하게 감소하였고, 혈관탄성도는 유의한 변화가 없었다. 그리고 열량, 지질, 당질, 식이섬유 및 회분은 시합 전 보다 시합 후 유의하게 증가하였다. 또한, 칼슘, 철분, 나트륨, 칼륨, 비타민 A, 레티놀, 비타민 B1, 비타민 B6, 나이아신, 비타민 C, 비타민 E는 시합 전 보다 시합 후 유의하게 증가하였다. 이상을 종합하여 볼 때, 시합 전보다 시합 후에 영양소의 섭취증가로 인해 체중이 증가하는 것을 알 수 있으며, 이상의 연구 결과에서 시합전, 후의 식습관, 맞춤형 운동처방 및 체계적인 컨디셔닝 관리가 요구된다.

Upper gastrointestinal bleeding is common and potentially life threatening medical emergency. Emergency endoscopy is the first choice of diagnostic and treatment measure for patients with active upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Histoacryl should be considered a second-line treatment modality when conventional treatments were failed. However, it might cause several complications. Herein, we report a case of acute pancreatitis developed after histoacryl injection therapy for active duodenal ulcer bleeding. A 71-year-old man was admitted with melena and hematemesis. On emergency endoscopy, a 2 cm sized active ulcer with bleeding from an exposedvessel was seen at the duodenal bulb. Attempts to arrest the bleeding with hemoclipping and submucosal epinephrine injection were tried, but failed. We changed the method to endoscopic histoacryl injection, and obtained hemostasis immediately. A few hourslater, after successful hemostasis, patient complained diffuse abdominal pain. Ultrasonography revealed hyperechoic heterogenous diffuse pancreatic enlargement and right pararenal space fluid collection, this ultrasonographic findings and elevated serum pancreatic enzymes are compatible with acute pancreatitis.

A successful therapy of community-acquired pneumonia requires appropriate empirical antimicrobial therapy. Etiology and antimicrobial susceptibility of major pathogens of pneumonia can differ by country. Therefore, an ideal treatment guideline of community-acquired pneumonia should be based on the studies performed in each country. We developed a treatment guideline for community-acquired pneumonia in immunocompetent adults in Korea. This guideline was developed by the joint committee of the Korean Society for Chemotherapy, the Korean Society of Infectious Diseases, and the Korean Academy of Tuberculosis and Respiratory diseases.

Asbestosis is the disease of pulmonary fibrosis caused by the inhaled asbestos fibers, and could be diagnosed clinically, in the case of exposure history to asbestos is proved, by clinical symptoms of dyspnea or dry cough, physical examonation findings, and the radiographic features. But many othder inorganic dusts would show similar findings in the chest radiogram and sometimes the exposure history is obscure, so for the exact diagnosis of asbestosis lung biopsy is needed. In Korea, there have been some reports of survey in the workplace where asbestos is handled or of asbestos related diseases. This is a case report of asbestosis with accompanying pleural plaques, who had the occupational exposure to asbestos for 30 years and the consistent clinical, radiographic and pathological findings in the lung tissue obtained by the videoscope assisted thoracoscopic biopsy(VATS).

이광수 초기문학론의 구조와 와세다 미사학(美辭學)

이광수 초기 문학론을 대표하는 두 글인 「문학의 가치」와 「문학이란 하오」는 모두 서구 근대 문학을 염두에 두고 문학의 가치와 존재의의를 해명하고 있다. 6년의 시차가 있지만, 이 두 글은 기본적으로는 비슷한 접근법을 드러내고 있다고 할 수 있는데, 구체적으로 말하면 다음의 세 방향에서의 접근을 보여주고 있다. 첫번째 ‘지정의론’은 인간의 정신적 능력을 지ㆍ정ㆍ의로 분간한 심리학에서의 논의를 문장 분류와 연관시킨 수사학에서 이루어진 논의이다. 일본에서 이는 쓰보우치 쇼요에서 시마무라 호게츠로 이어지는 ‘와세다 미사학’을 중심으로 이루어졌다. 이 논의를 받아들임으로써 이광수는 문학의 독자성, 자율성을 주장할 수 있었지만, 문학의 가치가 ‘정의 만족’이라는 목적과 배타적으로 연관됨으로써, 필연적으로 ‘쾌감’이나 ‘쾌락’에 의해서 문학의 가치가 해명되어야 한다는 난점에 부닥치게 된다. 이광수는 ‘정의 만족’을 ‘인생에 대한 여실한 묘사’와 연관시키는 독특한 시도를 통하여 이 문제를 해결하려 했던 것으로 보이는데, 이러한 시도가 두 번째 접근법인 ‘묘사론’으로 이어진다. ‘인생에 대한 여실한 묘사’를 주장하고, 현실적인 삶의 진실을 추구한다는 점에서 ‘지정의론’과는 방향을 달리 하는 것으로, 쇼요의 『소설신수』에 나타난 ‘인정론’과 흡사한 논리를 보여주고 있다. 쇼요나 호게츠는 이후 문학이나 예술이 과학이나 철학과 마찬가지로 ‘진리’를 추구하고 있음을 주장한다. 이에 따르면 ‘정’은 이제 ‘진리’에 배타적인 것이 아니라, 학문과는 다른 예술의 방법을 설명하는 요소가 된다. 이를 ‘진리론’이라고 할 수 있는데, 이러한 논리 또한 이광수의 문학론에는 나타나고 있다. 세번째 ‘국민문학’적 접근법은 ‘조선문학’의 과거와 미래에 대한 관심으로 이어진다. 조선문학사에 대한 논의에서 드러난, ‘국문유일주의’나 ‘근대의 특권화’ 또한 이가라시 치카라 등의 문학사 인식과 깊게 연관되어 있었던 것으로 보인다. ‘조선문학’이라는 이념이 문학의 가치를 선도하게 됨으로써, 이후의 문학 논의가 효용론을 강하게 드러내는데, 이는 문학론 자체의 전환이라기보다는 ‘조선문학’이라는 이념에 논의가 집중된 결과이다. 초기문학론에서 드러났던 이러한 세 방향에서의 접근법을 이광수는 이후의 문학 논의에서도 반복하거나 진전시키고 있다. 이는 이러한 접근법이 이광수 문학론의 원초적 틀로서 존재하고 있음을 의미한다. 필자는 ‘정(情)’이라는 동일한 개념에 의해 매개되어 있어 그 차이가 별로 의식되고 있지 않은 서로 다른 문학에의 접근법을 추출해봄으로써, 이를 그 각각의 접근법에 미치고 있는 일본에서의 문학 논의와 비교해볼 수 있었다. 그를 통하여 특히 ‘지정의론’이나 ‘묘사론’이 쓰보우치 쇼요와 시마무라 호게츠로 이어지는 와세다 미사학을 주도했던 사람들의 문학론과 깊이 연관되어 있다는 점과 더불어 그들의 논의와는 다른 이광수적 특성도 볼 수 있었다. The value of Literature, the first essay on the literature of Lee Kwang-su, shows the approach to the value of the literature from three different directions. The first theory can be called ‘the triad theory of knowing, feeling, and willing’. It was taken out from the ‘waseda bijigaku’, the discussion on the modern rhetoric in Japan. In this theory the explanation of the value of the literature logically resulted in the ‘pleasure’ or the ‘pleasant sense’. The second theory can be called ‘the theory of description’. It maybe advanced into something like ‘realism’. This direction also shows the relation between his thought and the theory of the scholars of the ‘waseda bijigaku’. Final direction is based on the idea of ‘the national literature’. It is probably not the theory, but the ideal of the literature. The thought of Lee Kwang-su on the literature moved towards this way, and he always emphasized the usefulness of the literature on the people of Cho-sun.
