        The characteristics of critical spontaneous ignition of granulated activated carbon were investigated at a constant ambient temperature and sinusoidally varying ambient temperatures. As the results of the experiments, the critical spontaneous ignition temperature at the sinusoidally varying ambient tem-peratures was generally lower than that at the constant ambient temperature. At the critical spontaneous ignition temperature decreased as the period increased. The critical Frank-Kameneskii's parameter δ?(εω) was determinded from the results. δ?(εω) = δ?{1-379 exp (-0.935·ω?)} δ?(εω) = δ?{1-381 exp (-0.930·ω?)} δ?(εω) = δ?{1-388 exp (-0.929·ω?)}

        치료 불응성 자가면역질환에서 고용량 항암화학요법 및 자가 조혈모세포이식술이 시행되고 있으나 조혈모세포 가동화 및 이식술 시 사용되는 G-CSF에 의해 오히려 기존의 자가면역질환의 증세가 악화되었다는 보고가 있다. 저자들은 만성적으로 재발되는 Still's병 환자에서 조혈모세포 가동화를 위해 사용한 G-CSF에 의해 자가면역질환이 급성 악화된 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. High-dose immunosuppressive therapy with autologous stem cell transplantation is an increasingly used treatment for severe refractory autoimmune disorder including multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile chronic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus. Although the optimal method of collecting stem cell is not determined, G-CSF-based mobilization is generally considered safe. However, worsening of disease status was reported in autoimmune disease undergoing mobilization with G-CSF. We report a 24-year-old male with refractory Still's disease who developed acute disease flare after administration of G-CSF for stem cell mobilization.

        This experiment was undertaken to investigate calcium and magnesium metabolism of rats fed the diet containing two levels of calcium(0.05%, 0.1%) and magnesium (0.04%, 0.0002%). Thirty-two males of Sprague-Dewley strain, 70-80g, were divided into 4 groups and each group (8 rats) was fed ad libitum for 4 weeks. Calcium and magnesium in sera, tissues and femurs were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The results obtained are summarized as follow. Net weight gain and feed efficiency ratio were decreased in the calcium and magnesium-deficient groups. The weights of liver, heart and kidney generally showed increasing tendency in the calcium-deficient group. Lung was showen to decrease in the magnesium-dificient group compared to the control group. Serum cholesterol showed increasing tendency in the groups of deficiency in calcium and calcium plus magnesium. Serum clacium and magnesium decreased in the groups of deficiency in calcium, magnesium and calcium plus magnesium. Calcium contents in liver and kindey were not affected by the dietary clacium and magnesium levels. Calcium contents in kidney were significantly increased in the groups of deficiency in magnesium levels. Calcium contents in kidney were significantly increased in the groups of deficiency in magnesium and calcium plus magnesium. Calcium contents in femur were decreased in the Calcium-deficient group, whereas magnesium contents in liver were increased in the magnesium-deficient group. Calcium and magnesiumexcretion to feces and urine was decreased in the calcium and magnesium deficient groups respectively.

      • A1₂O₃/SiC 나노복합체의 소결거동과 기계적 특성에 관한 연구

        Al₂O₃/5vol.% SiC nanocomposites have been prepared by pressureless sintering and isostatical hot pressing to investigate sintering behaviors and mechanical properties. Al₂O₃/SiC nanocomposites with high density(more than 99% theoretical density) could be obtained by pressureless sintering and hot isostatical sintering. TEM photographs showed that SiC particles were distributed uniformly in Al₂O₃matrix with typical intra/inter type microstructure. SEM photographs showed that Al₂O₃/SiC nanocoposites had a transgranular fracture mode. Fracture strength have been increased significantly by annealing the composites owing to the surface flaw healing effect and residual compressive stress.

        Recently, Wire-rireless combination study is being studied very actively with the advent of Ubiquitous environment, using wireless device such as PDA, Cellular Phone loading multi-hop communication that connects wired internet network very easily and controls the system and shares the information in anyplace. The past algorithm, wired and wireless combination that connect between Ad Hoc Network and wired network is being focused only on the study of heterogeneous network interface. The proposed algorithm established independent multi-path between source node and destination node to prevent data loss when errors happen in route.         This experiment was undertaken to investigate the effect of the diet containing two levels of calcium(0.5%, 0.1%) and magnesium (0.04%, 0.0002%) on the sodium, potassium, copper and iron concentrations of kidney, liver and femur in rats. Thirty-two males of Sprague-Dewley strain, 70-80g, were divided into 4 groups and each group(8 rats)was fed ad libitum for 4 weeks. sodium and potassium in the liver, kidney and femur were determined by flame spectrophotometry. Copper and iron in liver, kidney and femur were determined by atomic absorption spetrophotometry. The results obtained are summarized as follow. Net weight gain and feed efficiency ratio were decreased in the calcium and magnesium-deficient groups. The weight of liver, heart and kidney generally showed increasing tendency in the calcium-deficiency group. The weight of iung was showed to decreased in the magnesium-deficient group compared to the control group. The sodium and potassium concentrations of liver, kidney, and femur are the dietary calcium and magnesium levels did not tend to affect on the sodium concentration of kidney and potassium concentration fo femur and liver. But sodium content of liver tended to be significantly increased in the magnesium deficient-group. The potassium concentration of kidney in the deficient-groups(II,III,IV) tended to be greatly increased as compared with the control group. The sodium concentration of femur in the deficient-groups(II, III, IV) was slightly lower as comapared with that of the control group. Both copper and iron contents of the kidney, liver, and femur were the highest in kidney and the dietary Ca and Mg levels were not effected on the copper content of liver. The iron concentration of liver in the Ca-deficient group tended to be greatly higher than that of the other groups. The copper contents of kidney in the Mg-deficient group was lower than that of the other groups, and the iron contents in the deficient groups(II, III, IV) lower as compared with the control group. The copper content of the femur tended to be lower at the deficient levels(II, III, IV) and the copper concentration at the Mg-deficient level was greatly increased as compared with that of the control group.

        We studied the effect of mass transfer in a dryer on the condensation of amino resin mould material and the curing characteristics, and investigated the drying rate, the moisture and the curing fluidity according th the variations of the temperature and the drying media recycle volume which affects the mass transfer in the drying process. So, the result are summarized as follows: ① As the drying temperature increased to 70℃, 80℃ and 90℃ respectively, the drying rate became fast. ② In the same final drying time, the higher the drying temperature became, the more the moisture content of the urea resin mould material inceased. ③ Accordingly as the drying temperature increased, the moisture content of the drying material suddenly decreased in short drying time, but the moisture content increased when the drying time was between 80 minute and 120 minutes. ④ As the drying temperature increased, the curing fluidity of amino resin mould meterial decreased. ⑤ As the recycle volume of the drying media increased, the curing fluidity decreased.

        The critical spontaneous ignition temperature for activated carbon were observed by performing experiments for granulated activated carbon with varying the period. As the results of the experiments, the critical spontaneous ignition temperature decreased with increase of the time period, while, the ignition induction time was increases with the increase of the time period. The approximate expressions of the critical spontaneous ignition temperature obtained for ambient temperature amplitudes were as follows; δ_(c)(χ,ω) = δ_(c){1 - χ exp(-A·ω^(B))} 0.408 ≤ χ ≤ 0.793 , 0.413 ≤ A ≤ 0.911 , 0.813 ≤ B ≤ 0.975
