[ ${\beta}$ ]-Cyclodextrin derivative containing cyanuric chloride moiety (${\beta}CD-CC$) was synthesized by a reaction of ${\beta}-cyclodextrin\;({\beta}CD-CC)$ with cyanuric chloride in alkaline condition. FT-IR and UV spectra along with the results of elemental analysis indicated that cyanuric chloride was bound to ${\beta}CD$. Remaining monochlorotriazine group in ${\beta}CD-CC$ was expected to be used as a reactive site for cellulosic fibers. The ${\beta}CD-CC$ could be used as a host material for inclusion complex of various guest molecules. As an example, vanillin, a flavoring agent in foods and others, was included in the ${\beta}CD-CC$ to make a perfume inclusion complex. UV analysis showed that the vanillin-included complex of ${\beta}CD-CC$ released vanillin more slowly than vanillin itself, which reveals that it can be used as a feasible fragrant finishing agent for textiles.

Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAAm) hydrogels were synthesized via radical polymerization of N-iso-propylacrylamide in aqueous medium using ammonium persulfate and N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) as an initiator and a crosslinking agent, respectively. PNIPAAm hydrogels exhibited a critical gel transition temperature (CGTT) at $32{\sim}34^{\circ}C$. Swelling and deswelling behaviors of the hydrogels with different crosslinking densities were analyzed by measuring swelling ratio below and above CGTT. The swelling ratio of the hydrogel below CGTT decreased with increasing MBA concentration, while that above CGTT increased. As MBA concentration increased, the micropore size decreased, however, the number of micropore increased slightly in the freeze-dried hydrogels swollen in water at $25^{\circ}C$ (below CGTT) before drying. The micropore became smaller and denser in the des deswollen state. The swelling ratio of the hydrogels decreased slightly with the repeated swelling and deswelling treatment.

피부의 좁쌀결핵은 면역저하 상태에서 발생하는 결핵의 드문 감염형태로, 구진 농포성 발진과 피부를 포함한 여러 장기로의 결핵균의 혈행성 다장기 감염을 특징으로 한다. 저자들은 ART를 시작한 HIV 감염 환자에서 피부의 좁쌀결핵으로 발현한 IRIS 첫 예를 경험하여 이를 보고하는 바이다. Tuberculosis is one of the most common opportunistic diseases in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients in Korea, and extra-pulmonary infections are frequent in these patients. Cutaneous miliary tuberculosis is a rare form of tuberculosis that presents as a papulopustular eruption and hematogenous dissemination of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to multiple organs. This has been reported in patients with progressive HIV infection. We report the first case of cutaneous miliary tuberculosis that developed as a manifestation of immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS) after initiating antiretroviral therapy (ART). Novel reactive dyes having antibacterial properties were synthesized by introducing sulfase, -$NHSO_2$-, which is well known as antibiotics to reactive dyes. An intermediate compound was prepared by a coupling reaction of the diazonium salt of sulfadiazine with the condensation product of 8-amino-1-naphthol-3,6-disulfonic acid (H-acid) and cyanuric chloride. A reaction of the intermediate compound and sodium 4-aminophenyl-${\beta}$-sulfatoethyl sulphonate (p-Base) afforded a new reactive red dye of monochlorotriazine type. To synthesize reactive blue dyes of vinyl sulfone type, another intermediate compound was prepared by a coupling reaction of the diazonium salt of p-Base with H-acid, followed by the second coupling reaction of the diazonium salt of sulfadiazine or silver sulfadiazine with the intermediate compound. The synthesized dyes were characterized using a high performance liquid chromatography and various spectroscopic analyses such as UV/Vis, FT-IR, energy dispersive X-Ray, and inductively coupled plasma.
사회적 네트워크 발견을 위한 이름생성기 문항 개발: 전화번호 끝 네 자리 숫자를 이용한 고유번호 부여 방법

사회과학자들은 일상생활의 맥락에서 개인의 사회적 네트워크를 측정해 왔다. 조사연구에서 활용되는 그 측정도구 중 하나가 ‘이름생성기’(name generator)다. 이 논문에서는 이름생성기가 어떻게 개발되었는지, 그것이 프랑스·터키·한국 등 비영어권 사회로 어떻게 번역되어 확산되었는지를 살핀다. 이름생성기 문항의 혁신 방안으로 ‘전화번호 끝 네 자리 숫자를 이용한 고유번호 부여 방법’을 제안한다. 이 방법은 특정인을 식별할 수 있는 장점이 있지만, 동시에 ‘전화번호 끝 네 자리 숫자’를 공유하는 다른 사람들을 동일인으로 간주하는 오류, 즉 ‘고유번호 중복 오류’(β error) 가능성을 내포한다. 그래서 ‘이름해석기’(name interpreters)로 알려진 문항들을 추가하여 고유번호를 재구성하면 그 오류 가능성을 현저히 낮출 수 있다. 동시에, 전화번호 끝 네 자리 숫자를 이용해 고유번호를 부여하는 방식의 이름생성기와 이름해석기를 이용해 응답자의 사회적 관계를 측정한 전수조사 자료는 사회적 네트워크 자료로 쉽게 변환할 수 있다. 그 결과, ‘자아중심적 네트워크’뿐 아니라 ‘전체 네트워크’과 ‘개별 네트워크’도 발견할 수 있다. Social scientists have measured the social networks by individuals in the context of everyday life. One of the best measurement tools is ‘name generator’. In this paper, we examine how the name generator was developed, and how it was translated and spread to non-English speaking societies such as France, Turkey, and South Korea. As an innovation for the name generator survey questions, we propose a method of assigning a identification number using the last four digits of the phone number. This method has the advantage of being able to identify a specific person easily, but at the same time, it contains the possibility of an error of considering other people who share the last four digits of the phone number as the same person, that is, a ‘β error’. So, adding ‘name interpreters’ survey questions and reconstructing identification numbers, the possibility of that error can be significantly reduced. The complete enumeration survey data, which measures the social relationship of respondents by name generators and interpreters using the method of assigning identification numbers with the last four digits of the phone numbers, are easily transformed to social network data. As a result, it is possible to analyze not only ego-centered network, but also whole network and individual network.
