Activated carbon (AC) obtained from peanut shell, chitosan (CH) obtained from crab shell, and prepared chitosan/activated carbon (CH/AC) composite were studied in a batch system for the adsorption of indigo carmine (IC) from aqueoussolution. Characterizations of AC, CH, and CH/AC were investigated by FTIR, SEM, XRD, zero-point charge pHpzc,thermal analysis, surface area BET, and pore-size distribution. Adsorbent weight (0.01-0.1 g), initial pH solution (2-10),initial indigo carmine concentration (10-50 mg/l) and contact time (0-60 min) were used as parameters in the adsorptionequilibrium experiments. Pseudo-second-order kinetic model was found to describe the adsorption process better thanpseudo-first-order kinetic model. Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin isotherms applied to the adsorption data reveal that ACand CH/AC best fitted Langmuir and Freundlich models when CH data fitted Temkin model with maximum adsorptioncapacities of 82.64 mg/g for AC, 96.15 mg/g for CH, and 208.33 mg/g for CH/AC at 30 oC. Thermodynamic parameters suchas standard Gibbs free energy (ΔGo), standard enthalpy (ΔHo), and standard entropy (ΔSo) were -23.42 kJ/mol, 10.66 kJ/mol,and 112.40 J/K/mol, respectively for CH/AC. The negative value of ΔGo and a positive value of ΔHo indicate that theremoval of indigo carmine by CH/AC is spontaneous and an endothermic process.

프랑스 사회 변화에 대한 이와 같은 견해는 이해, 사유, 의사소통의 방식에 영향을 미쳤던 변화들을 고려한 것이다. 이러한 변화들은 소비(예전에는 존재하지 않았던 용어)와 초기 경제 시대 사회의 생산에 영향을 미쳤으며, 이 경제 시대는 아마도 사회가 영국에서 영향을 받은 사회 보장을 통해서든 마르크스주의와 노동조합을 통해서든 피하려고 애썼던 것이다. 보다 가족적인 층위에서 보았을 때, 사회성의 규칙들과 더불어, 공손한 접대에서 부르주아 시대로의 변화가 눈에 띈다. 여기서 그 규칙들은 더이상 개인 상호간의 교환에 지나지 않는 정도로 사라져 버린다. 이렇게 해서 (부분적으로) 용이성이 발견된다. 이는 (로마 연극에서 물려받은) 인물에서 18세기 혁명과 민주주의에 대한 새로운 정치적 개념으로부터 생겨난 현대적 개인으로의 이행을 의미한다. 이런 변화 속에서 우리는 또 다른 변화를 비교해볼 수 있다. 바로 도시 공간의 변화이다. 하인이 사라짐과 동시에 산업화된 분포는 균일화된 주거의 형태로 사회적 분할의 전환을 이끌어냈다. 도시 구역에는 이전의 사회적 혼합이 사라졌다. 마지막으로 기독교 - 혹은 더 일반적으로 보아 종교적 정신(프랑스에서) - 의 점진적 소멸은 현대 사회 구성원들이 수많은 활동으로 이루어낸 인식을 변화시킨다. 왜냐하면 기독교는 실제로 더 이상 옛날에 의거했던 도덕적 기준에서 사회 구성원들을 판단하는데 적합하지 않기 때문이다. 그렇기 때문에 이러한 활동들은 다른 방향을 택하고, 사람들이 신경 쓸수 있는 표현을 변화시킨다.

The question of why leading states recognize other states’ sovereignty hasattracted increasing attention in the IR literature. I analyze the important historicalcase of the sovereign recognition of Japan by the West in the 1890sand in particular by Great Britain, the most important Western power at thattime. I argue that Britain’s decision to fully recognize the sovereignty ofImperial Japan is best explained by a theoretical synthesis of English Schooland rationalist approaches. Britain’s recognition decision was driven by acombination of genuine respect for legal propriety and its perceived materialself-interest. In other words, Britain recognized Japan upon realizing that itwould do well by doing good.

- 본 연구는 우선, “유럽”을 정의하는 몇 7찌 역사적인 개념과 중세부터 18세기까지 유럽 국가들 간에 놓여 있었던 문화적 관계의 유형에 대해 연구해 보고자 한다. 19세기에 유럽은 산업혁명을 통해 최초의 중요한 단절을 맛보게 되었고, 그 결과는 오늘날까지도 여전히 영향력을 미치고 있다. - 두 번째 장에서는, 문화·정책적 관점에서 유럽의 근대적 OJ-상들을 파악한다. 본 장에서는, 경제적 자유주의와 비교하여 계획의 정책적 일관성과 그 영역의 문제를 제기하는 현실적인 여러 양상들을 이해해 보고자한다. - 세 번째 장에서는, 유럽 각료회의가 발간한 자료인 “유럽에서 문화생활에의 참여 경향 전략과 도전”(Table Ronde de Moscou, 1991) 의 분석을 통해, 유럽의 문화 정책상의 모순점에 대한 비판을 시도한다. 즉 정책의 수립과, 경제적 자유주의 교리에 대한 신봉이라는 실제적인 사회 경험의 양쪽 형태로서 그 대립적, 이율배반적 관계를 고찰한다. - 마지막 장에서는, 상기 분석 과정을 통해 결론에 접근하면서 실제 현실에 비추어 문화라는 개념에 관한 정의(定意)의 문제를 제기해 보고자 한다. 통신 매체인 인터넷의 출현과 최근의 발전이 상징하고 있는 현재 상황에 대한 이해와 더불어, 이러한 종류의 변모가 앞서 연구한 분야로부터 어떤 유형의 결과를 도출해 낼 수 있는지도 살펴보고자 한다. Cette étude rappelle d’abord quelques notions historiques concernant la notion d’Europe et quels types de rapports culturels existaient entre les nations européennes entre le Moyen-âge et le XVIIIème siècle. Le XIXème siècle, avec la Révolution industrielle, introduit une première rupture importante. Nous en ressentons les conséquences aujourd’hui encore. La deuxième partie tente de cemer les aspects modernes liés à l’Europe, aussi bien du point de vue politique que culturel. Cela conduit à dégager certains aspects de la réalité actuelle qui posent la question de l’étendue et de la cohérence politique du projet par rapport au libéralisme économique. Dans la troisième partie en procédant à l’analyse d’un document publié par le Conseil de l’Europe : Participation à la vie culturelle en Europe. Tendances, stratégies et dqfis. Table ronde de Moscou, 1991, nous voyons se dégager une contradiction critique au sein de la politique culturelle européenne, c’est-à-dire : le désir même d’élaborer une politique d’un coté, et l’adhésion à la doctrine du libéralisme économique de l’autre. Ces deux formes de l’expérience sociale s’opposent de façon antinomique. La demière partie s’efforce de tirer la leçοn du travail d’analyse et pose la question de la definition, par rapport à l’expérience actuelle, de la notion de culture. On essaie de voir comment 1’apparition et le récent développement du médium Internet symbolisent la situation présente et quel type de conséquences ce genre devolution pourrait entraîner dans le domaine étudié.
