A Reading of the Film Today And The Other Days : Based on the Analysis of Narrative
Vol.9 No.3
This thesis attempt to compare and analyse with Text today and the other day’s narrative style. So, I put to practical use narratology by a theoretical basis. First of all, I am trying to analyse Text’s narrative by Roland Barthes, next rereading with Steven Cohan’theory is composed. All through Text film’s internal analysis, I come up with narrative strategy prescibing the characteristic and research the sufficient propriety in narrative’s meaning. Also, some signs to be use with the object of Text film’s analysis is described and involved in Gerard Genette’time and Steven Cohan’s focalization code. Of course, this work of re-evaluation is establishing the sense of sight of narrative aethetic characteristics in Text film’s narrative structure. And then a outcome that the director try narrative strategy shows spilting occurrence against the narrative style from the formal and functional perspective, that could search the reason from reinterpretation out of the concept of Text film. Therefore a conclusion that I attempts narrative analysis could explore that the narratology make u nderstanding to all principle upholding sign system, signifing reader’s trying interpretation. In order that the narratological personality reflect in the Text film, I did focus on analyse elements of the distinguishing narrative form and function, attempt aesthetic reinterpretation of the Text film today and the other day.
Shortest Path Search Scheme with a Graph of Multiple Attributes
Vol.25 No.12
In graph theory, the least-cost path is discovered by searching the shortest path between a start node and destination node. The least cost is calculated as a one-dimensional value that represents the difference in distance or price between two nodes, and the nodes and edges that comprise the lowest sum of costs between the linked nodes is the shortest path. However, it is difficult to determine the shortest path if each node has multiple attributes because the number of cost types that can appear is equal to the number of attributes. In this paper, a shortest path search scheme is proposed that considers multiple attributes using the Euclidean distance to satisfy various user requirements. In simulation, we discovered that the shortest path calculated using one-dimensional values differs from that calculated using the Euclidean distance for two-dimensional attributes. The user’s preferences are reflected in multi attributes and it was different from one-dimensional attribute. Consequently, user requirements could be satisfied simultaneously by considering multiple attributes.
A Team Project Based Assessment Method for Engineering Design Course
2016 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.11 No.8
Implementing prototypes and engineering design education that requires creativity among engineering students has become a universal trend. Engineering design education is a subject taught in a setting where students gather in a team, decide on a single topic, and cooperate with one another to perform a project. Team project based evaluation is a main part of engineering design education. Many instructors agree that harmonizing creative evaluation and outcome assessment is difficult. To resolve this issue, we have surveyed various creativity assessments and engineering design education methodologies, and have modelled existing evaluating elements into a creative process and outcome assessment framework for each team project assessment. We have evaluated students in three levels (fair, good, and excellent) for each assessment element. Based on the survey results from students who took the course, we concluded that the new assessment model is an innovative method of assessment that enhanced both the students’ and the instructor’s satisfaction of the course.
An Extensor Digitorum Muscle for Index Finger Originated from the Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis
(Anat Biol Anthropol) Vol.33 No.1
The anomalous variations in the extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB) and extensor digitorum (ED) muscles of the forearm have been previously reported in the literature. The present article reported an anomalous variation of the ECRB and ED muscles in the forearm. We found an accessory muscle originated from the medial side of the ECRB muscle and inserted into the base of second metacarpal bone. And the ED muscle divides into three distinct tendons without the tendon of index finger. This case is a first report of the variations of ECRB and ED muscle in Korean cadaver. Knowledge of this variation is important to avoid surgical complications and to prevent diagnostic problems. Its embryological and clinical significances were discussed.
Tunnel Barrier Engineering for Non-Volatile Memory
2008 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.8 No.1
Tunnel oxide of non-volatile memory (NVM) devices would be very difficult to downscale if ten-year data retention were still needed. This requirement limits further improvement of device performance in terms of programming speed and operating voltages. Consequently, for low-power applications with Fowler-Nordheim programming such as NAND, program and erase voltages are essentially sustained at unacceptably high levels. A promising solution for tunnel oxide scaling is tunnel barrier engineering (TBE), which uses multiple dielectric stacks to enhance field-sensitivity. This allows for shorter writing/erasing times and/or lower operating voltages than single SiO₂ tunnel oxide without altering the ten-year data retention constraint. In this paper, two approaches for tunnel barrier engineering are compared: the crested barrier and variable oxide thickness. Key results of TBE and its applications for NVM are also addressed.
DSP-Based Switched Reluctance Motor Incremental Inductance Measurement through Current Loop
Vol.2019 No.5
Switched reluctance motor (SRM) has double saliency structure and operates under the saturated condition to achieve high energy conversion ratio. Therefore, the magnetic characteristics of switched reluctance motor is highly non-linear that the actual inductance profile can not be simply obtained by the inductance measurement instrument. As the control performance of SRM drive is highly dependent on a priori knowledge of magnetic characteristics, the accurate measurement is important. This paper presents the incremental inductance measurement method through closed loop current control. The rate of change of the phase current is captured by additional sampling instant. The effects of phase resistance variation, core loss, and power device voltage drop are considered to minimize the measurement error. The measurement results are verified with LCR meter and torque transducer measurement.
