        CBCT 영상에서 무치악부 임프란트 매식체 주위골 골밀도(HU)의 정량적 평가

        Purpose : The primary aims of this retrospective study were to compare subjective bone quality and bone quality based on the Hounsfield scale in different segments of the edentulous jaw, and to establish quantitative and objective assessment of the bone quality. Materials and Methods : Twenty eight randomly selected cone-beam computed tomographic (CBCT) scans were analyzed. For evaluation one hundred and twelve edentulous areas were selected. Implant recipient sites were evaluated visually for Lekholm and Zarb classification. The same sites were subsequently evaluated digitally using the Hounsfield scale with Vimplant2.0, and the results were correlated with visual classification. Data was subject for statistical analysis in order to determine correlation between recorded HU and the regions of the mouth with the Kruskal-Wallis test. Results : The highest unit/mean density value (311 HU) was found in the anterior mandible, followed by 259 HU for the posterior mandible, 216 HU for the anterior maxilla, and 127 HU for the posterior maxilla. These results demonstrate a strong correlation for HU depending on the region of the mouth (p<0.001). The relationship between HU and type 4 bone was found to be significant (r=0.74). Conclusion : Knowledge of the Hounsfield value as a quantitative measurement of bone density can be helpful as a diagnostic tool by using CBMercuRay with Vimplant software.

        In order to study the lives of the generals of Chungbuk Province, I have considered how the legends of General Shin Lip have been handed down from generation to generation and the meanings of the legends. First, I have described the life of Shin Lip and then considered how he is portrayed in the legends and their implications. I have reconstructed the legends based on his whole life, and considered the legends by dividing them into phases, (1) the Legend concerning birth and growth (2) the Legend of marriage and practice (3) the Legend regarding entering into government office and his brilliant military achievements (4) the Legend of the battle against Japan troops (5) the Legend of his last life, and his life after death. I have also considered the meanings of the legends by dividing them into several stories, On the basis of each Legend shown the above, the peculiarities of the Legend are presented.

        Gastritis cystica profunda (GCP) is a disease characterized by hyperplastic and significant extension of cystic dilatation of the gastric mucous glands, which results in a cystic lesion in gastric submucosa. It often occurs on the part of gastroenterostomy, but can be found in the stomach without any previous surgery. GCP has variable gross finding including solitary polyps, diffuse ones, submucosal tumors, and rare giant gastric mucosal fold. It is difficult to tell GCP from a cancerous lesion by gross finding that the disease demands a necessary tissue biopsy, though GCP is commonly showed as a benign in the progress. We report a case of GCP in polypoid types diagnosed by endoscopic polypectomy.

        폴리올레핀계 폐플라스틱/복합filler 성형체의 난연성 및 기계적 물성 연구

        Flame retardancy and mechanical properties of recycled polyolefinic plastics/inorganic filler composite systems were investigated by using several inorganic flame retardants such as magnesium hydroxide and slag powder generated electro arc furnace. Compatibilizer used each maleic anhydride functionalized polyethylene (PE-g-MAH) and polypropylene(PP-g-MAH) or used mixture of these. The effect of polymeric compatibilizers on the properties of composites was studied by tensile and impact test, differential scanning calorimetry, morphology in the changed fracture mechanism. The improved adhesion was particularly reflected in the mechanical properties. The flame retardancy of composites was examined by measuring limiting oxygen index(LOI, ASTM D2863), smoke density(ASTM D2843) and vertical burning test(UL94). Regarding the flame retardant effect, the EAF slag powder is behaving as synergists as they are only active in the presence of magnesium hydroxide.

        The aim of this study is to research the legends of General Im Kyong Up. Among all the legends on him, the ones about his death and thereafter are selected for this study. 1 have reconstructed his whole life based on the short stories which have been handed down from generation to generation, and then I have considered how his legends have been handed down and what their meaning are. I researched his legends by dividing them into two types of stories. First I considered how his legends have been handed down in Chungbuk Province, and next how these legends have been handed down in other regions, and finally, how these are described in the literature referring to his achivements of lifetime.

        Dang, jonghae had written five books on chinese medicine,『Hyeoljeungrn』is his most important work. He wanted to correct the fallacies of the theory of Jang(臟) and Bu(腑) by comparing with chinese and western medicine. He distinguished Bi(脾) from Cheomyuk(甛肉) by comparing the spleen with the pancreas. He recognized Stomach as the warehouse of foods, and explained that Bi took charge of digestion actually. Bi charged the function of Transportation(運化) and Blood-govering(統血) in addition to plain digestion, he wrote. Dang, jonghae regarded the metabolism of the human body as the interaction of Gi(氣), Blood(血), Water(水) and Fire(火). And he explained that Bi adjusted them. He classified Syndrome of Blood(血證) into five sorts of syndrome and presented four kinds of treatment. Especially he took a serious view of the treatment connected with Bi and Stomach. He set up the theory of Bi and Stomach(脾胃論) practically on basis of anatomy, but he didn't assorted the physiology and pathology of each organ clearly. However he proved the importance of Bi and Stomach by treating Syndrome of Blood and provided with the foundation of merging chinese and western medicine.

        황사 이동 경로에 따른 대기 부유 곰팡이 포자의 변화

        Asian Dust samples were collected in the ambient air of Seosan, Western Korea, in spring of 2000~2002. PM (Particulate Matter) concentrations were 199.8 ㎍/㎥ in the first Asian Dust period (March, 23~24) and 249.4 ㎍/㎥ in the second period (April, 7~9) of 2000. Compared with the concentrations in 2000, relatively low PM concentrations, 157.3 ㎍/㎥ were measured in the periods of 2001 (April, 24~26). Especially high PM concentration 953.1 ㎍/㎥ were measured in the periods of 2002 (March, 21~22). The variation in the PM concentration was observed according to the time for the formation of Asian dust. Considering the particle size distributions of Asian dust, a high concentration was also observed in coarse particle region. The results of backward trajectory model showed the route of the dust storms from northern area of Mongol and Gobi desert. Various mycelia grown from fungal spores were observed on the PM samples and identified at the genus level. All the genera from the three years (2000~2002), Fusarium, Aspergillus, Penicillium, Basipetospora, Epicoccum and Monotospora are hyphomycetes in the division Fungi imperfecti (Deuteromycota). Fungal composition on the dust sample in March, 2000 was similar to the result of March, 2002. However, the result of April, 2001 was obviously different from the other dust periods. The variations of fungal compositions between the dust periods could be caused by the trajectories of the dust storms.

        황화수소 중독증 2례

        평택시에 위치한 펄프 회사에서 탱크 내부를 청소하고자 근로자가 탱크 속으로 들어가는 도중 의식을 잃었다. 펄프제지 과정에서 유기물질의 발효로 인하여 유해한 가스가 발생한다. 발생할 수 있는 가스의 종류에는 이산화탄소(CO₂), 일산화탄소(CO), 암모니아(NH₃), 황화수소(H₂S) 그리고 메틸 머캅탄(methyl mercaptans, CH₃SH) 등이 있다. 작업환경 측정전 이러한 가스들이 존재할 것으로 추정하였으나 실제적으로 황화수소와 일산화탄소만 검출되었을 뿐 암모니아와 메틸 머캅탄은 측정되지 않았다. 그런데 상기 환자들에 있어서 HbCO이 정상 범주이므로 일산화탄소의 중독은 배제할 수 있었다. 따라서 황화수소 중독에 의한 의식소실임을 알 수 있었다. Hydrogen sulfide poisoning is frequently encountered in the workplace. Two workers lost their consciousness In an underground tank at a factory producing paper. The tank contained liquid mixture of used paper, sodium oxygenate chloride (NaOCl), and sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate(Na₂S₂O₃.□H₂O). A worker(worker A; 36-year-old man) entered tank to remove sludge. When worker A lost his consciousness, worker B entered the tank to rescue worker A, however he lost consciousness inside the tank. We discuss in detail the clinical features of this condition. Hydrogen sulfide poisonings have occurred in industries involving petroleum refining, the manufacture of heavy water, tanning of hides, vulcanization of rubber, and the manufacture of rayon. And it is necessary to stress the health education for workers and managers in these industries.
