1년간의 자발적인 운동참여가 중년 남성 제2형 당뇨병 환자의 혈중 지질 성분에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of voluntary exercise participation on blood lipids in type II diabetes mellitus middle-aged men. Eighteen male volunteers were recruited and exercised, jogging, cycle ergometer, swimming, in the sports center for 12 months without any supervision. They had educated heart rate calculation method to keep their target heart rate during exercise. Before and after the training, their body composition, maximal oxygen uptake, and blood lipids profiles were analyzed. Body weight was not changed during experimental periods; however body fat ratio was statistically decreased at the same periods. Blood glucose, TC, LDL-C, and TG were decreased significantly and HDL-C was significantly increased (p<.05). RQ was significantly lower compared to the before exercise and their maximal oxygen consumption and exercise time to fatigue were increased significantly (p<.05). These results suggested that voluntary exercise with simple exercise prescription was also effectual to enhance blood lipids in type II diabetes mellitus middle-aged men.

공동체주의 윤리관의 자유주의적 가치 수용에 관한 일고

본 연구는 이데올로기로서의 공동체주의가 지향하고 있는 도덕적 선과 가치에 근거하는 공동체주의의 윤리관을 분석하고, 나아가 자유주의적 가치가 통합된 공동체주의 윤리체계를 고찰하였다. 과거 공동체주의자들이 제기했던 공동체적 윤리는 대부분 자유주의적 가치와 대립되거나 상반되는 것으로 여겨져 왔다. 그러나 자유민주주의 체제 안에서도 공동체는 엄연한 현실로 존재하며 따라서 자유주의적 가치와 조화를 이룰 수 있는 공동체 윤리는 우리 사회의 현실적 요청이었기에 이후 공동체주의자들은 자유주의적 가치를 적극 수용하여 왔다. 자유민주주의 체제에 부합되는 공동체주의적 도덕원리를 검토하여 편향되지 않은 공동체 윤리관을 정립시키는 일은 자유민주주의 체제를 옹호하거나 수호하려는 노력에 분명히 중요한 부분을 차지한다. 이제 공동체주의가 자유주의자들이 추구하는 ``옳음``의 가치와 ``자율적 존재``로서의 개인의 관념을 수용하지 않을 수 없으며, 개인의 이기심을 무턱대고 배척할 수 없다. 현대 사회에서 공동체주의의 자유주의적 가치 수용은 이상적인 공동체를 구상하고 건설하는 데에 반드시 필요한 요건이라고 하겠다. The purpose of this treatise is to study ethical system in Communitarianism for liberal democratic dispensation. This study attempts to analyze the theories of communitarianism and to formulate the system of the moral principles in the community, which ideologically harmonizes with both the principles based individualism and the ethical criteria in the communitarianism. The study tries to construct an unified moral principles by fusing ethical system in communitarianism into the value system in liberal society. Communitarian`s conception of community as the constitutive conception of community have been diffused and created various analytical problems. Two dimensional concepts are formulated between the theories of communitarianism and the theories of liberalism. The concept of community in the theories of communitarianism not merely has the highest value but also implies the supreme good itself. While The concept of community in the theories of liberalism has just the instrumental value for a human, going from one extreme to another, the concept of community turns into totalitarianism - holism - or collectivism in the Communist country or libertarianism. A man`s moral value system serves not only as a criterion of behaviour but as the guiding principle of life for the man`s life. So the ethical system in community, adjusting the moral principles in liberalism which esteem an individual, is coincident with the ideology of liberal democracy. To substitute the altruistic ethics in communitarianism for ethical egoism is adequately significant. Since that human being promote to live making up community is brought out by craving for his life in itself. In Kohlberg`s theory on just community, the principle of justice plays such an absolute part in people`s value judgement that it is an essential criterion for them to decide whether something is good or bad.

This essay explores racism, male-centrism, and nationalism (un)covered in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s The Revenant, focusing on its way of invoking white masculinity. Portraying the hero, Hugh Glass, romantically as a white affectionate toward Native Americans and mixed-bloods, The Revenant is reticent in expressing the historical reality of Glass as an aggressive Indian fighter who contributed to westward expansion. Even worse, the film silently instills the long-lasted racist (mis)belief about Native Americans (plus mixed-bloods) as the ‘Vanishing People’ by making an unbridgeable distance between Glass and his Pawnee wife (and his mixed-blood son). This essay would allow us to see the film’s strategy forging white Americans’ masculine robustness within the levels of gender, race, and nation, where other racial and national groups are characterized as effeminate and immoral in a complex way.

산수화의 수파준법(수파준법)

Water painted in the early stage of Oriental landscapes was that set characters and mountains off. As Oriental philosophers commented on the attribute of water, and landscape painters and art commentators presented the nature of water and its expression, the painting of water had become the center of interest. Water passes off by evaporation heat, and the vapor composes the clouds. At last, it falls on the mountains and valleys with the forms of rain, and it again finds its way to the river and sea. Likewise, as to environment and climate, water vertically falls with the form of fall. Sometimes it forms bubble like surge and sometimes it flows leisurely along the streams. At times, it raises quickly due to a strong wind or it turns round like a whirlwind. Such forms and activities of water functions as the blood vessel of mountains, that invigorates to those. Water is the sign of softness and strength; at the same time, it comes under a property that can be expressed through perceiving nature like the clouds and mist. Hereupon, as the expression technique of water wave has been diversified and materialized, it has been functioned as the expression of metalism. In addition, water has been commented its volume and color as to each season, and it has been recognized as a factor containing calmness and dynamic simultaneously. Water is also shifted its form to wave by the influence of wind, and shifted to the bubble of waterfall by itself; besides, it fill up the space of Original landscapes with the space of mentalism. In order to properly represent the form of water, it should be painted in an instant after being painted its tip similar to the painting of literary men. In such a case, its fluidity can be rightly represented. Also, its shallowness, depth, dynamical nature, etc.; even handling of brush, i.e., softness and strongness, has been materialized. As previously mentioned, various expression techniques of water waves have been presented, but it is incomplete compared with those of mountain. Thus, in this paper, I compared Korean expression technique of water waves with Chinese expression technique of those, and classified as follows: First, whirlpool-shaped technique, second, ∧-shaped (triangle-shaped) technique, third, -shaped(wave-shaped) technique, forth, -shaped (thread skein-shaped) technique, fifth, short or long leveling technique, sixth, waveless technique, seventh, - shaped and -shaped technique as to upwards and downwards visual angles, eighth, C-shaped technique that represents the downstream of a valley, ninth, m and n-shaped (waterfall-shaped) technique. Besides, there are jar-shaped and palm-shaped wave technique that Jin Hong-soo, an artist who lived in the Ming Dynasty, showed in 「Japhwadochaekj」. The palm-shaped technique means the expression method that gradates the surroundings of waterfall. Jung Sun, an artist who lived in the Chosun Dynasty, represented m and n-shaped wave referring to the preceding technique; afterwards, Jo Jeong-gyu and Byun Gwan-shik applied the technique. And tenth, there is river and sea-wave technique mixed with C-shaped, spring-shaped and shoes-shaped techniques. It was represented by Mawon, an artist who lived in the Southern Song Dynasty, and it is being carried in 「Sonhgansangumdo」. Afterwards, the technique was somewhat changed by Jung Sun, Shim Sa-jung, Kim Hong?do, etc., artists who lived in the Chosun Dynasty. In addition, there are various other expression techniques of water waves, but the rest may be mentioned later. Korean traditional landscape painters had been sometimes applied the creative expression techniques of water waves containing extreme tense atmosphere and formative arts, though they were influenced by Chinese painting. Jung Sun's river and sea and Hong Se-sup's wave painting based on bird's eye view are cases in point. The water expression in Oriental landscape painting was originated from drawing the pattern of clouds. After that, it has been diversified by various painters and commentators. Nevertheless, it has not been closely represented, because it is difficult to instantaneously capture the flow of water or its wave. For this why, creative representations should be more studied and produced, based on penetration on water.

모바일 매체 플로우와 광고유형이 광고 효과에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 대중화가 이루어진 휴대폰 환경에서 소비자의 행동을 새롭게 파악할 수 있는 플로우 개념에 대해 살펴보았으며, 본 연구의 목적은 매체 플로우 정도와 모바일 광고유형에 따라 광고 효과에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 것이다. 연구결과 휴대폰 사용자의 플로우가 높을 때에는 낮을 때보다 모바일 광고효과가 높게 나타났다. 모바일 풀형 광고와 푸시형 광고 유형별 차이에 따른 광고효과는 광고태도, 브랜드태도에 유의미한 차이를 나타냈으나, 구매의도에서는 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 전반적으로 풀형 광고가 푸시형 광고보다 광고 효과가 더 높게 나타났다. 휴대폰 사용자의 플로우가 낮을 때에는 풀형 광고가 푸시형 광고에 비해 광고 태도와 브랜드태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 플로우가 높을 때에는 낮을 때에 비해 모바일 광고를 클릭하는 구매의도의 광고효과가 높게 나타났다. 플로우와 성별과의 관계를 살펴보면, 플로우가 낮을 때에는 여성이 남성보다 광고효과에 더 긍정적인 영향을 보였다. This experimental study was carried out on the assumption that depending on types of mobile advertising and media flow level, their impacts on mobile advertising effectiveness would be different. This study is focused on media flow showing the consumer behavior in the new environment of mobile phones. The results of the study show that when the flow of mobile phone users is lower, it seems to be significant impacts on mobile advertising -- ad attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention than when the flow is higher. Advertising effects showed significant differences in advertising attitude and brand attitude according to types of mobile advertising. When the flow of mobile phone users is lower, pull-type advertising appeared to have significant impacts on ad attitude and brand attitude. There seems to be sexual differences regarding media flow and advertising effects. When the mobile flow is lower, more positive impact on ad attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention was shown in women than in men.

알칼리 내성 Bacillus sp. 유래의 pectate lyase 유전자의 대량발현

The nucleotide sequence of the pectate lyase gene from alkali-tolerant Bacillus sp. had been identified and analysed [JIN-MAN KIM et. al., Biosci, Biotech, Biochem., 58(5), 947-949, 1994]. A 1260-base pair open reading frame for the pectate lyase gene was observed and encoded for a protein of 420 amino acids. The signal peptide was composed of 21 amino acid residues. For the overproduction of pectate lyase, a 1.5kb pectate lyase gene fragment removed rho-dependent transcriptional terminator at upstream of its gene was fused to the BS promoter which was isolated from the same donor strain. The constructed clone carrying plasmid p12BS△f1-PL shown a 182-fold increase in pectate lyase activity over that observed in Bacillus sp. YA-14.

Tonsillectomy as prevention and treatment of sleep-disordered breathing: a report of 23 cases

Background: The paradigm of tonsillectomy has shifted from a treatment of recurrent throat infection to one of multi-discipline management modalities of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB). While tonsillectomy as a treatment for throat problems has been performed almost exclusively by otorhinolaryngologists, tonsillectomy as a part of the armamentarium for the multifactorial, multidisciplinary therapy of sleep-disordered breathing needs a new introduction to those involved in treating SDB patients. This study has its purpose in sharing a series of tonsillectomies performed at the Seoul National University Dental Hospital for the treatment and prevention of SDB in adult patients. Methods: Total of 78 patients underwent tonsillectomy at the Seoul National University Dental Hospital from 1996 to 2015, and 23 of them who were operated by a single surgeon (Prof. Jin-Young Choi) were included in the study. Through retrospective chart review, the purpose of tonsillectomy, concomitant procedures, grade of tonsillar hypertrophy, surgical outcome, and complications were evaluated. Results: Twenty-one patients diagnosed with SDB received multiple surgical procedures (uvulopalatal flap, uvulopalatopharyngoplasty, genioglossus advancement genioplasty, tongue base reduction, etc.) along with tonsillectomy. Two patients received mandibular setback orthognathic surgery with concomitant tonsillectomy in anticipation of postoperative airway compromise. All patients showed improvement in symptoms such as snoring and apneic events during sleep. Conclusions: When only throat infections were considered, tonsillectomy was a procedure rather unfamiliar to oral and maxillofacial surgeons. With a shift of primary indication from recurrent throat infections to SDB and emerging technological and procedural breakthroughs, simpler and safer tonsillectomy has become a major tool in the multidisciplinary treatment modality for SDB.

FDM에서 Build Orientation이 쾌속조형물의 표면에 미치는 영향

Fused deposition (FD) modeling by Stratasys Inc., is one of the material deposition subfamilies of solid freeform fabrication (SFF) technologies. In this process, build material in the form of a flexible filament, is heated to a semi-liquid state and extruded from a controlled deposition head onto a fixtureless table in a temperature controlled environment. The position of nozzle is computer controlled relative to the base, which allows geometric complex models to be made to precise dimensions. FDM provide what the part was directly tested by the worker. It provide believable data. This Study is identify to surface roughness by build orientation adjustment. So, the paper is the study on surface roughness by build orientation at FDM.
