REMOVING SALT AND PEPPER NOISE USING TOTAL VARIATIONAL METHODS

In this paper, we propose a novel two stage algorithm for detecting and removing salt and pepper noise(SaP noise) in image. The proposed algorithm consists of two parts. The noise candidates which are found by noise detector in the first step, will be reconstructed in the second stage using total variational optimization. The noise detector, which is based on the adaptive median filter(AMF), can detect impulse noise with high accuracy while reducing the probability of detecting image details as noises. Compared to the conventional AMF based detectors, the proposed one maintains detecting accuracy independent of various noise densities. For removing impulses, we use total variational regularization only to those detected noise candidates. With this scheme, we can avoid unnecessary computation time and successfully remove impulse noises while preserving image details.

We describes the process of 3D virtual treatment planning and of CAD/CAM for surgical splint in orthognathic surgery. The potential benefits and disadvantages of 3D virtual approach and the use of CAD/CAM system for the treatment of the patient with a maxillofacial deformity are discussed. For the more convenient applications,3D software should be improved.

A novel algorithm for lip recognition is proposed in this paper.Lip model is built based on the concatenated gray level distribution model, and the recognition problem is simplified as the minimization problem of matching object function. The Down Hill Simples Algorithm is used for the minimization with the proposed novel method for setting initial condition, which can refrain iteration from converging to local minima. The proposed algorithm shows extracting lip shape from the test image where Active Shape Model fails.

본 연구에서는 염료 감응형 태양전지의 효율 향상을 위한 유리 기판 및 전극 패턴에 따른 특성 변화와 대면적화 모듈을 위한 금속 그리드의 특성을 보여준다. 단위 셀 단위의 기본적인 재료와 기존의 제조 방법에 의해 제조된 염료 감응형 태양전지(DSC)는 높은 내부 저항으로 인하여 대면적 셀의 변환 효율은 치명적으로 저하된다. 또한 증가하는 내부 저항 감소를 위해서 외부적인 제조 공정이 추가되지 않고서는 불가능하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 TCO(ITO) 식각, TiO₂ 식각, 50mm{times}50mm 셀과 100mm{times}30mm 셀의 특성 비교 실험을 통해서 변환 효율 상승효과를 얻었고 광전류 포집 향상을 기대하기 위해 Pt 그리드를 이용해 current correcting line을 증착시켰다.
A New Hybrid Genetic Algorithm for Nonlinear Channel Blind Equalization

In this study, a hybrid genetic algorithm merged with simulated annealing is presented to solve nonlinear channel blind equalization problems. The equalization of nonlinear channels is more complicated one, but it is of more practical use in real world environments. The proposed hybrid genetic algorithm with simulated annealing is used to estimate the output states of nonlinear channel, based on the Bayesian likelihood fitness function, instead of the channel parameters. By using the desired channel states derived from these estimated output states of the nonlinear channel, the Bayesian equalizer is implemented to reconstruct transmitted symbols. In the simulations, binary signals are generated at random with Gaussian noise. The performance of the proposed method is compared with those of a conventional genetic algorithm(GA) and a simplex GA. In particular, we observe a relatively high accuracy and fast convergence of the method.
