Next generation graphene-based electronics essentially need a dielectric layer with several requirements such as high flexibility, high transparency, and low process temperature. Here, we propose and investigate a flexible and transparent poly-4-vinylphenol and poly(melamine-co-formaldehyde) (PVP/PMF) insulating layer to achieve intrinsic graphene and an excellent gate dielectric layer at sub 200 degrees C. Chemical and electrical effects of PVP/PMF layer on graphene as well as its dielectric property are systematically investigated through various measurements by adjusting the ratio of PVP to PMF and annealing temperature. The optimized PVP/PMF insulating layer not only removes the native -OH functional groups which work as electron-withdrawing agents on graphene (Dirac point close to zero) but also shows an excellent dielectric property (low hysteresis voltage). Finally, a flexible, wearable, and transparent (95.8%) graphene transistor with Dirac point close to zero is demonstrated on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate by exploiting PVP/PMF layer which can be scaled down to 20 nm.
Wireless Spintronics Modulation With a Spin Torque Nano-Oscillator (STNO) Array

<P>This letter presents a spin RF-direct modulation using a frequency division multiplex (FDM) with a spin torque nano-oscillator (STNO) array. For the proposed modulation, two STNO are bonded at each branch of a T-junction on a PCB, where a high pass filter (HPF) and a low pass filter (LPF) are connected on each branch of the T-junction to transmit the modulated signal into one antenna. Each STNO modulates by on-off keying (OOK) with digital data directly after setting on the separation of channels for two STNOs into 700 MHz, one STNO at 3.5 GHz frequency and the other at 4.2 GHz, with consideration of the minimum sensitivity and interference related with isolation between channels. A data rate of up to 400 Kbps is obtained at a distance of 10 mm, and the dc power consumption is 3 mW per STNO, including logic circuit operation. The PCB size is as small as 28 x 27 mm, including the 4.2 x 2.1 mm STNO array.</P>

肉桂는 藥材와 香料로서 많이 다용되고 있는 植物로 東洋醫學에서는 腎火를 補陽하고 脾胃를 溫煦하게하며, 經脈을 疏通시켜 散寒止痛하는 效果가 있는 藥物로 알려져 있다. 이러한 肉桂가 cytokine 분비에 어떠한 效果를 나타내는지를 알아보기 위하여 肉桂를 메타놀로 抽出하고 人體 末梢血液에서 單核細胞의 cytokine 分泌에 대한 效果를 in vitro에서 觀察하였다. 本實驗에서 肉桂 메타놀 抽出物의 效果는 時間 依存的임을 보여주었다. 實驗時間 2時間과 6時間에는 cytokine의 分泌에 影響을 주지 않았지만 實驗時間 12時間과 24時間일 때 肉桂메타놀 抽出物의 濃度가 10-20 mg/ml의 농도일 때 interleukin-1 B(IL-1 B), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF)의 分泌가 뚜렷하게 增加하였다. 또한 고농도의 肉桂메타놀 抽出物을 處理한 實驗에서의 效果는 낮은 濃度에서 보여주었던 效果와 달리 유의성있는 效果를 관찰할 수 없었다. The extract of the medicinal herb Cortex cinnamomi, the cortex of Cinnamomum cassia PRESL, was found to show some effects on the secretion of cytokines by human peripheral bloodmononuclear cells in vitro. In this study, the augmentative effect of Cortex cinnamomi methanol extract on cytokine secretion was shown to time dependent. No significant secretion of cytokine was noted when the reaction time was 2 or 6 h. Secretion of interleukin-1β(IL-1β), interleukin-6(IL-6), and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) by the mononuclear cells was markedly increased in the presence of a low concentration of Cortex cinnamomi methanol extract, varying form 10-20 mg/ml, when the reaction time was 12 or 24 h. A higher concentration of the herbal extract did not show similar or stronger augmentative effect as did low concentration of the herbal extract.
Microcystic Meningioma - Unusual Variant of Meningiomas

Microcystic meningioma is a rare variant of meningiomas. This unusual variant was originally described by Masson, who labeled it "humid". The computed tomographic scan or magnetic resonance images of these tumors resemble those of a glial or metastatic tumor with cystic or necrotic changes. There is no definitive method for differentiating cystic meningiomas from these more common tumors. But immunohistochemically, they share a similar pattern of positive staining for epithelial membrane antigen and vimentin with other meningiomas. Our case was a 34-year-old woman with a tumor mass on the right frontal area. She was admitted to hospital because of generalized tonic seizure. Grossly all of the tumor could be removed, and histopathologically this tumor was revealed to be a microcystic meningioma. Key words:Microcystic meningioma;Cystic tumor.
Development of the Vacuum Drying Process for the PWR Spent Nuclear Fuel Dry Storage

본 논문은 국내 원전의 습식저장조에 저장 중인 경수로형 사용후핵연료를 금속겸용용기를 이용해 건식으로 운영하기 위한운영공정을 개발하는 것이다. 국내 경수로형 원전의 사용후핵연료는 1990년대 초부터 습식으로 소내에서 운반을 한 경험은 많으나 건식으로 운전한 경험은 전혀 없는 실정이다. 이에 따라 금속겸용용기를 운영할 수 있는 세부 운영공정을 개발하였으며 주요 운영공정에서 금속겸용용기의 주요 구성품 및 사용후핵연료의 안전성이 유지됨을 확인하였다. 단기운영공정은 총 21시간 내에 이루어지도록 절차를 수립하였고 단계별로 허용운전 시간(15시간 습식공정, 3시간 배수공정, 그리고 3시간 진공공정)도 제시하였다. This paper describes the development of a dry operation process for PWR spent nuclear fuel, which is currently stored in the domestic NPP's storage pool, using a dual purpose metal cask. Domestic NNPs have had experience with wet type transportation of PWR spent nuclear fuel between neighboring NPPs since the early 1990s, but no experience with dry type operation. For this reason, we developed a specific operation process and also confirmed the safety of the major cask components and its spent nuclear fuel during the dual purpose metal cask operation process. We also describe the short term operation process that was established to be completed within 21 hours and propose the allowable working time for each step (15 hours for wet process, 3 hours for drain process and 3 hours for vacuum drying process).
