The effect of weather on disease was investigated based on results reported in academic papers. Weather-sensitive disease was selected by analyzing the frequency distributions of diseases and correlations between diseases and meteorological factors (e.g., temperature, humidity, pressure, and wind speed). Correlations between disease and meteorological factors were most frequently reported for myocardial infarction (MI) (28%) followed by chronic ischemic heart disease (CHR) (12%), stroke (STR) (10%), and angina pectoris (ANG) (5%). These four diseases had significant correlations with temperature (meaningful correlation for MI and negative correlations for CHR, STR, and ANG). Selecting MI, as a representative weather-sensitive disease, and summarizing the quantitative correlations with meteorological factors revealed that, daily hospital admissions for MI increased approximately 1.7%-2.2% with each 1℃ decrease in physiologically equivalent temperature. On the days when MI occurred in three or more patients larger daily temperature ranges (2.3℃ increase) were reported compared with the days when MI occurred in fewer than three patients. In addition, variations in pressure (10 mbar, 1016 mbar standard) and relative humidity (10%) contributed to an 11%-12% increase in deaths from MI and an approximately 10% increase in the incidence of MI, respectively.
본고에서는 영화 <밀애>에 나타난 인물 특성에 주목하고, 인물 특성과 미흔의 변화 단계를 연결 지어 논의하였다. 첫 단계로 미흔이 기존 가족 체계를 유지하려고 하는 단계이다. 미흔은 본래 가족 간의 관계를 무조건적으로 유지하면서 살아갔다. 인규를 통해 두 번째 단계인 기존 가족 체계를 파괴하려는 단계로 들어서게 된다. 인규는 사랑, 가족을 믿는 사람이 아니었고 미흔은 그를 따라 더 이상 가족 체계에 대해 생각하지 않으려고 했다. 영화에서는 미흔과 인규의 계속된 성관계를 극대화시킴으로써 미러한 미흔의 변화를 더욱 극적으로 보여주고자 하였다. 마지막으로 세 번째 단계인 독립하는 단계다. 이전 미흔은 남편의 특성에 따라, 혹은 인규의 특성에 따라가며 행동했다. 그러나 미흔은 두 사람의 체계가 아닌 자신의 체계를 만들어야함을 깨달은 순간 자신 만의 행동체계를 구축한다. 이를 통해 미흔은 독립할 수 있게 된 것이다. In this paper, I discuss about the film <Deep Loves>. I made an intensive study of the Dramatis Personae and Mi-hen"s Self-reliance on the Film. First, Mi-hen try to keep the existing family system. At this time, She unconditionally maintains a family relations. It is her problem. Second, Mi-hen tries to destroy the family system. Continued to have sex by maximizing was trying to show more dramatic changes. At this time, she did not solve the problem. Finally, the step is independent. First step, Mi-hen acted as her husband"s properties. Second step, She acted as In-gue"s properties. But She realized that make her world. Eventually, She is building her own system. So She was independent. And She has solved the problem.
Inositol hexaphosphate (IP?) is a major constituent of most cereals, legumes, nuts, oil seeds and soybean. Previous studies reported the anticancer effect of IP? and suggested that co-treatment of IP? with inositol may enhance anticancer effect of IP?. Although the anticancer effect of IP? has been intensively studied, the combinational effect of IP? and inositol and involved mechanisms are not well understood so far. In the present study, we investigated the effect of IP? and myo-inositol (MI) on cell cycle regulation and apoptosis using PC3 prostate cancer cell lines. When cells were co-treated with IP? and MI, the extent of cell growth inhibition was significantly increased than that by IP? alone. To identify the effect of IP? and MI on apoptosis, the activity of caspase-3 was measured. The caspase-3 activity was significantly increased when cells were treated with either IP? alone or both IP? and MI, with no significant enhancement by co-treatment. To investigate the effect of IP? and MI of cell cycle arrest, we measured p21 mRNA expression in PC3 cells and observed significant increase in p21 mRNA by IP?. But synergistic regulation by co-treatment with IP? and MI was not observed. In addition, there was no significant effect by co-treatment compared to IP? treatment on the regulation of cell cycle progression although IP? significantly changed cell cycle distribution in the presence of MI or not. Therefore, these findings support that IP? has anticancer function by induction of apoptosis and regulation of cell cycle. However, synergistic effect by MI on cell cycle regulation and apoptosis was not observed in PC3 prostate cancer cells.

The fat-forming variant of solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) is a rare soft tissue neoplasm that was previously referred to as a lipomatous hemangiopericytoma (L-HPC). The most common affected site is deep soft tissue. Here, we present the first case, worldwide, of a fat-forming variant of SFT of the pleura. A 74-year-old man presented with left lower chest pain. Chest radiographs showed a mass-like lesion at the left lower lung field and chest computed tomography revealed a 12 cm fat-containing enhancing mass that was well-separated, lobulated and inhomogeneous. Radiology findings suggested a liposarcoma. Percutaneous needle biopsy was performed and pathological diagnosis of the mass was a fat-forming variant of SFT. Surgical resection was carried out and there has been no recurrence to date. So, a benign fat-forming variant of SFT must be considered as one of the differential diagnoses of lipomatous tumors of the pleura.

Lithium primary cells have the advantages of stable operating voltage, high energy density, long storage life, low discharge rate, and wide operating temperature range. Although not as reusable as lithium ion batteries, lithium primary batteries have been used in various fields, such as medical, environmental, and military, which require a small amount of current for a lengthy period or combined safety. In this study, MnO₂/CFx hybrid primary batteries comprising manganese dioxide and carbon fluoride (CFx), the main cathode materials of lithium primary battery, were fabricated and their discharge performance was measured. The discharge curve of the Li-MnO₂/CFx cells was classified into the MnO₂ phase and the CFx phase at low C-Rate. As the ratio of CFx increases, the discharge capacity of the battery increases, but the rate characteristics decreases. Considering all parameters such as capacity, rate capability, and temperature, the optimum amount of CFx doping was 70%. The mixing ratio of CFx/MnO₂ hybrid cathode can remarkably control the electrochemical performances and this kind of mixing ratio is expected to improve the electrochemical performances.
