The recombinant strain P. pastoris GS115-lccC was used to produce laccase with high activity. Factors influencing laccase expression, such as pH, methanol concentration, copper concentration, peptone concentration, shaker rotate speed, and medium volume were investigated. Under the optimal conditions, laccase activity reached 12,344 U/L on day 15. The recombinant enzyme was purified by precipitating and dialyzing to electrophoretic homogeneity, and was estimated to have a molecular mass of about 58 kDa. When guaiacol was the substrate, the laccase showed the highest activity at pH 5.0 and was stable when the pH was 4.5~6.0. The optimal temperature for the laccase to oxidize guaiacol was 60℃, but it was not stable at high temperature. The enzyme could remain stable at 30℃ for 5 days. The recombinant laccase was used to degrade chlorpyrifos in several laccase/mediator systems. Among three synthetic mediators (ABTS, HBT, VA) and three natural mediators (vanillin, 2,6-DMP, and guaiacol), vanillin showed the most enhancement on degradation of chlorpyrifos. Both laccase and vanillin were responsible for the degradation of chlorpyrifos. A higher dosage of vanillin may promote a higher level of degradation of chlorpyrifos, and the 2-step addition of vanillin led to 98% chlorpyrifos degradation. The degradation of chlorpyrifos was faster in the L/V system (kobs = 0.151) than that in the buffer solution (kobs = 0.028).
Taxonomic study of the genus Meganephria H?bner (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) from north-east China

We reviewed four species of the genus Meganephria Hbner from north-east China. M. kononenkoi Poole is reported for the first time from China, and M. cinerea (Butler) is newly added to the continental fauna of China. The adults and genitalia of the species are illustrated, and distributional ranges and host plants are provided.

Purpose: Dissection after plain balloon angioplasty is required to achieve adequate luminal area; however, it is associated with ahigh risk of vascular events. This study aimed to examine the relationship between non-flow limiting coronary dissections andsubsequent lumen loss and long-term clinical outcomes following successful drug-coated balloon (DCB) treatment of de novocoronary lesions. Materials and Methods: A total of 227 patients with good distal flow (Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction flow grade 3) followingDCB treatment were retrospectively enrolled and stratified according to the presence or absence of a non-flow limiting dissection. The primary endpoint was late lumen loss (LLL) at 6-month angiography, and the secondary endpoint was target vesselfailure (TVF, a composite of cardiac death, target vessel myocardial infarction, target vessel revascularization, and target vesselthrombosis). Results: The cohort consisted of 95 patients with and 132 patients without a dissection. There were no between-group differencesin LLL (90.8%) returning for angiography at 6 months (0.05±0.19 mm in non-dissection and 0.05±0.30 mm in dissection group, p=0.886) or in TVF (6.8% in non-dissection and 8.4% in dissection group, p=0.799) at a median follow-up of 3.4 years. In a multivariateanalysis, the presence of dissection and its severity were not associated with LLL or TVF. Almost dissections (93.9%) were completelyhealed, and there was no newly developed dissection at 6-month angiography. Conclusion: The presence of a dissection following successful DCB treatment of a de novo coronary lesion may not be associatedwith an increased risk of LLL or TVF (Impact of Drug-coated Balloon Treatment in de Novo Coronary Lesion; NCT04619277).

Faunistic Data of Thyatiridae (Lepidoptera) in the Mt. Changbai of China

Nineteen species of the family Thyatiridaewere recognized based on the lepidopteran colections from the 5 times of expeditions to Mt. Changbai during 1999-2004. Among them, five species, (Ochropacha duplaris (Linnaeus), Togaria tancrei (Graeser), Shin-ploca shini Kim, Neoploca arctipenis (Butler), and Demopsestis punctigera (Butler)), are reported for the first time from China. Eight species are newly added to the fauna of Mt. Changbai. A list of all knownspecies from Mt. Changbai is provided and photo-graphic images of adults of the species new to China and their male or female genitalia are given.
Correlations Between Fasciology and Yin Yang Doctrine

The aim of this study is to explore the correlations between fasciology and yin yang doctrine. Professor Yuan developed fasciology by three-dimensional reconstruction of connective tissue (fascia) in the trunk and limbs of the human body and tracing back to tissue origins in light of biological evolution and developmental biology. Fasciology states that the human body can be divided into two systems: the supporting-storing system and the functional system. This article elaborates on the roles of the two systems and their mutual relationship. The two systems are used to analyze the yin,the yang, and their relationship. The two systems are promoted but also restricted in different contexts. The supporting-storing system is formed by undifferentiated connective tissue and provides undifferentiated cells and nutrients for differentiated cells of the functional system. Thus, the supporting-storing system could be classified as quiet, similar to yin. The functional system continuously maintains the various functional activities of the human body. Thus, the functional system could be classified as active, similar to yang. In interpreting the yin yang doctrine from the point of view of fasciology, yin can be compared with the supporting-storing system and yang can be compared with the functional system.

In the lepidopteran surveys in Mt. Changbai, China, during 2000-2003, 10species of the genus Zanclognatha Lederer of Noctuidae were recognized. Of them,a new species, Zanclognatha lui sp. nov. is described, two species (Zanclognathaumbrosalis Staudinger and Z. perfractalisBryk) are reported for the first time fromChina, and four species (Z. fumosa, Z. lilacina, Z. violacealisand Z. tarsipennalis)are newly known from Mt. Changbai. Synonymies, distributional ranges, photos ofthe genitalia, and images of the new and newly recorded species are given. 2000-2003년에 걸쳐 수행된 장백산의 나방류 조사결과로 Zanclognatha속 10 종이 확인 되었다. 그들 중 한 종을 신종( Zanclognatha lui sp. nov.)으로 기재 하고, Zanclognatha umbrosalis Staudinger, Z. perfractalis Bryk 등 2종을 중국 미기록으로 보고 한다. Z. fumosa, Z. lilacina, Z. violacealis, Z. tarsipennalis 등 4종은 장백산에서 처음 보고 되는 종들이다. 새로이 밝혀진 신종, 중국미기록 2 종에 대해 성충의 외부특징과 암수생식기의 특징에 대해 간략히 기술하고, 성 충의 사진과 함께 암수생식기를 도해하였다.
