      • A Cryptographic Key Assignment Scheme with Adaptable Time-token Constraint in a Hierarchy

        A scheme, which uses flexible cryptographic key management upon adaptable time-token constraint for a user hierarchy access control (UHAC) scheme, is proposed in this paper. For adapting the changeability in a UHAC system, we propose a technique of assigning independent time-token which is distributed by a trusted agency server to reply an authorized user for once secure access request. The key feature of the technique is to adapt some secure parameters in distributed time-token for responding to each legal access request. Further, all class keys will be updated proactively by the concept of proactive key management, which makes the advantage that is proven and free from the scenario of the collusive attack example which proposed by Yi et al. in [18]. This cryptographic key assignment scheme based on the difficulty in solving a discrete logarithm, with adaptable time-token constraint, can achieve better security and more efficient management, than the conventional UHAC scheme. Besides, our scheme provides a flexible manner and dynamic key management to increase the availability of user access in UHAC structure.

        中國大六科技體制的發展王: 法律變遷的觀點

        本文將關註的焦點置於科技體制(technical institution)之上,由於科技不僅關乎經濟發展核心的生産力,也影響全球競爭下國家創新能力的良유,因此格外受到政府的重視。령壹方面,從全球産業分工的角色觀之,現階段中國大六竝非扮演全球科技領先者的角色,科技的進步不同於資金的積累,無法單純依賴數量的增加而形成規模,必須仰賴國內的創新體制或國外的科技轉移來形成優勢。基於此壹背景,理解中國大六科技體制在經濟發展的過程中所扮演的角色,以及産生了何種面貌的制度變遷,對於吾人掌握中國大六經濟發展的完整圖像有重要助益。而法律作爲社會制度的重要環節,對於市場或是各類型組織的影響和重要性不言可喩。 本文透過「法律變遷」(legal changes)的角度來掌握中國大六「科技體制」發展過程及其意義。法律系統的正常運作與否,可以通過四個面向來加以檢視:第壹,法律系統的合法性(legitimacy)何在;第二,法律對於行動者具有何種意義;第三,遵守法律與否的後果爲何;第四,法律發動與管轄的權限爲何。本文將從上述廣義法律系統運作等面向切入,藉以描繪中國大六科技體制的發展圖像。 This article will focus on technological institution. Technology is not only the core of economic development, but also the key to influence the national innovation capacity under global settings, so extra attention has been paid by the government. On the other hand, in terms of the role of the global labor division, China is not currently playing the role of the global technology leader. The advancement of technology is different from the accumulation of capital. The increasing of number can’t form scales. We must rely on domestic innovation institution or foreign technology transfer and make it as our advantages. Under this background, understanding the role of technological institutions played in China and the process of policy transition will be much helpful to get a whole picture of economic development in China. The law as the important part of the social system, the impor tant influence for the market and the impact of various types of organizations is self-explanation. This article tried to understand the process and meaning of technology institutes in China through the perspective of technology institutions. The normal operation of the legal system would be viewed through the four dimensions. First, the legitimacy of the legal system; second, the legal significance for the actors; third, the result for not obeying the law and fourth is the authority of law. This article will analyze the operation of the legal system to describe the development of technological institution in China.

      • Solar Energy Powered Bicycle for Wireless Supervisory Control and Remote Power Management Applications

        In this paper, a solar energy powered bicycle linked to a wireless sensor network (WSN) which monitors the transfer of solar energy to an electrical energy storage unit and an analysis of its effectiveness is proposed. In order to achieve this goal, a solar-powered bicycle with an attached ZigBee and a far-end wireless network supervisory system is setup. Experimental results prove that our prototype, solar energy powered bicycle, can achieve enough solar energy for charging a two lead-acid battery pack. As a result, the user, through use of a wireless network in the parking period can be kept aware of the data on the amount of immediate solar radiation, the degree of illumination, the ambient temperature, and electrical energy storage capacity information of the bicycle through an internet interface.

        Efficient Channel Assignment Scheme Based on Finite Projective Plane Theory

        This paper proposes a novel channel assignment scheme that is based on finite projective plane (FPP) theory. The proposed scheme involves using a Markov chain model to allocate N channels to N users through intermixed channel group arrangements, particularly when channel resources are idle because of inefficient use. The intermixed FPP-based channel group arrangements successfully related Markov chain modeling to punch through ratio formulations proposed in this study, ensuring fair resource use among users. The simulation results for the proposed FPP scheme clearly revealed that the defined throughput increased, particularly under light traffic load conditions. Nevertheless, if the proposed scheme is combined with successive interference cancellation techniques, considerably higher throughput is predicted, even under heavy traffic load conditions.

Due to the effect of the Climate Change, the world has experienced an uneven distribution of rainfall in recent years, cause of floods or droughts. This developments but has also realize the agricultural water should cooperate effectively shift dial [2], active water conservation ordinance relaxed, provide valuable water resources. Water utilities in response to the challenges of extreme drought, should face the New thinking that the difference between the price of water upon request, considering distinguish the dry season and the rainy season in different water, and the water does not hike the basic livelihood of the people; to consider the idea of building “Our sponge cities sponge Taiwan”; avoid low tariff wasted water, or the use of reasonable price adjustments after yearly, water problems can be solved in Taipei area; contributed to the dry season to strengthen water conservation and carbon reduction to achieve the effect or open consumptive water use of large household[2] and strengthen told: the key to sustainable development of water resources, “NO WATER NO FUTURE”.

        Personality traits and individual feeling of national pride in South Korea

        Given the lack of studies on the relationship between personality and national pride, this study represents the first attempt to examine the impact of the Big Five personality traits on individual feeling of national pride in South Korea. The data for this study are obtained from the Korean General Social Survey (KGSS) of 2011 and 2012. The empirical evidence consistently shows that extraversion and agreeableness are significantly associated with individual feeling of national pride. Specifically, people who report elevated levels of extraversion and agreeableness are more likely to display a strong feeling of national pride. Contrary to theoretical expectations, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness to experience are not associated with individual feeling of national pride.       • In-situ biochar application conserves nutrients while simultaneously mitigating runoff and erosion of an Fe-oxide-enriched tropical soil

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Climate change gives rise to rapid degradation of rural soils in sloping subtropical and tropical areas and might further threaten environmental sustainability. In this study, we conducted an integrated evaluation of the effects of wood biochar (WB) application mixed with a green waste dreg compost (GWC) on runoff quality, soil losses, and agricultural productivity for a highly weathered tropical soil. A conventional agriculture method, in which soils are treated with anionic polyacrylamide (PAM), was also conducted for comparison. The amounts of runoff and soil loss, and nutrient retention were evaluated a year after WB application. Soil fertility was also investigated through a year pot experiment with rape (<I>Brassica campestris</I> L.) cultivation. Our results showed that the WB application not only effectively increased soil pH, soil organic carbon (SOC) and exchangeable K<SUP>+</SUP> but also increased the production of rape plants. Significant reduction of runoff and the increases of inorganic nitrogen (IN) and total phosphorus (TP) were found in the WB-treated soil. Compared to the control, the co-application of WB and GWC, particularly for the WB at 4%, decreased runoff by 16.8%, soil loss by 25%, and IN loss (via runoff) by 41.8%. Meanwhile, compared to the control and PAM treatments, the co-application of WB and GWC improved soil acidity and the contents of SOC, IN, TP, and exchangeable K<SUP>+</SUP>. The co-application of WB and GWC could be an alternative agricultural strategy to obtain benefits to agricultural productivity and environmental sustainability.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Co-applying biochar and compost notably reduced runoff and soil loss by 16%–25% in a tropical soil. </LI> <LI> In-situ biochar applying increased inorganic N, available P and K by 1.5–2.5 times in slopelands. </LI> <LI> Crop productivity was enhanced by biochar applying 1.5–2 times at least in a tropical slopeland. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
