Comparison of multiaxial fatigue damage models under variable amplitude loading

Based on the cycle counting method of Wang and Brown and on the linear accumulation damage rule of Miner, four multiaxial fatigue damage models without any weight factors proposed by Pan et al., Varvani-Farahani, Shang and Wang, and Shang et al. are used to compute fatigue damage. The procedure is evaluated using the low cycle fatigue experimental data of 7050-T7451 aluminum alloy and En15R steel under tension/torsion variable amplitude loading. The results reveal that the procedure is convenient for engineering design and application, and that the four multiaxial fatigue damage models provide good life estimates.

Improvement and Research on Efficient Motion Estimation Algorithm in Video Compression

To improve and enhance the estimation speed and accuracy of motion estimation, this paper proposes a fast diamond search algorithm with improved search strategy; researches motion estimation algorithm by using pattern block matching; analyzes and set up fast searching algorithm model based on the fast convergence characteristics of three step search, the central distribution characteristics of new three step search and the approximate global optimal characteristics of diamond search; use the coarse positioning and fortified halfway stop technologies to establish improved diamond search algorithm; gives the method of reducing the number of search bits. Through experiment and analysis, the results show that the improved diamond search algorithm can effectively reduce the matching points

Philosophical Counseling Thought in the Analects of Confucius

The rise of philosophical counseling is the inheritance of“Socratic Dialogues”, and Confucius thoughts of philosophical counseling are reflected in the dialogues of the Analects of Confucius. His philosophical counseling mainly involves in the disciples’ inquiries into “benevolence”, “politics”, “ man of honor” etc. “Benevolence” is the most important idea in Confucianism, and Confucius advocated governing country morally and thought selecting talented people meant the right man for the suitable job in proper place. Inquiries into politics put forward that a real man of honor must possess the virtue of benevolence, wisdom and courage. The ways of making friends and solving family ethic problems also appear in the dialogues of the Analects of Confucius, and Confucius gave different goals of consultation according to the different individuality of his disciples, whose philosophical consultation has practical guiding significance in real life.

Case Analysis of Philosophical Practice in College Students’ Classroom

This paper analyzes and studies the philosophical practice cases of university students in classrooms where teachers use Socratic dialogue and role-playing to help university students solve various problems they face. In the steps of philosophical practice, the rules of participants, consultants, bystanders and moderators are set up in advance. The moderator (usually a teacher) is responsible for guiding the topic. If there is still confusion and need help when the participants finish the dialogue, the moderator will give appropriate suggestions; the participants will state the confusion and problems they are facing according to their personal experience; the bystanders will record the dialogue of the participants by observing and listening to the participants, analyze and write down their observations and suggestions. According to these consulting rules, the effect of consulting is obvious. When the problems that university students talk about are also common in daily life, such as communication with their families, interpersonal relationships, learning problems, love affairs and other problems, they are easy to resonate and are more willing to express their innermost feelings. They said that the philosophical practice helped them a lot, let them overcome psychological obstacles, dare to express their true ideas, understand the core of their own problems, true ideas, understand the core of their own problems, and solve problems that had not been considered before. Some university students have learned critical analysis skills and used keen observation to analyze themselves in the course of philosophical dialogue. Of course, there are other university students who have not solved their own problems. As can be seen from the homework of university students, both participants and bystanders have come up with new ideas that have never been before.

Enhancing User-Centric Service Design for Future Community Libraries

EFFECT OF METHANOL ADDITION ON COMBUSTION AND EMISSIONS CHARACTERISTICS ON A TURBOCHARGED GDI ENGINE

To enrich the knowledge and understanding of the application effect of methanol fuel in the current engine, the influence of methanol-gasoline blended fuel containing 10 %, 20 % and 30 % methanol addition (M10, M20 and M30) on the engine performance, combustion and emissions were studied on a turbocharged and direct injection engine with original control system and control parameters. The results showed that at the conditions with low speed, the peak heat release rate and cylinder pressure were decreased by the use of blended fuel while it shown an increased peak combustion pressure and heat release rate at high speed. Meanwhile, the combustion center of blended fuel was obviously different from gasoline and its optimal value, and the combustion variation was increased at low load. The fuel consumption lifted continuously with the increase of methanol addition ratio, and the equivalent fuel consumption of M10 and M20 also was higher than that of pure gasoline. For NOx emissions, although it has been improved continuously for M10, M20 and M30 under the higher engine load, the higher emissions were obtained for M10 and M20 at lower load. In addition, compared with gasoline fuel, the whole particle distribution curve and number concentration was significantly deteriorated with methanol addition.

HCI and Future Community Library Services: A Comprehensive Study on Connectivity, Responsiveness, and Controllability

This study investigates the impact of Human-Computer Interaction experience (HCI EXP) on residents intention to borrow from community libraries by HCI. Examining factors like Connectivity, Responsiveness, and Controllability, our findings reveal positive associations. However, the study suggests that the research on residents borrowing intention in HCI models is insufficient and calls for further exploration, incorporating qualitative methods. As community libraries evolve into intelligent hubs, the government and community managers should prioritize enhancing HCI experiences, emphasizing Connectivity(CON), Responsiveness(RSP), and Controllability(CTL), thus advancing smart public cultural services in the era of intelligent cities.

Exploiting User Behavior Changes in Privacy Disclosure by Modified Clustering Technique

The analysis of user behaviors has been an important subject in recommending research recently. This paper proposes a modified clustering technique, showing that users privacy disclosure may change when they are answering the information requests, and we argues that their attitudes, including risk, useful, appropriate, played an important role behind those changes. We presented the new data structure in our dataset that would be loaded to experiment, e.g. personal information requests, users’ answers to those requests, and most importantly, users cluster and attitude for later analysis. Our modified clustering technique would not only locate users privacy disclosure change by comparing the results from learning their past disclosure behaviors and from learning their current disclosures, but also exploit the relationship between the inconsistence in those two results and their attitudes. The data containing users’ answers to a questionnaire with personal information requests was integrated to analyze their disclosure behaviors and attitude with the proposed clustering technique. We indeed find some interesting connections between their privacy disclosure change and attitudes, and the exploration of this paper could benefit to any researchers and online community owners who focusing on user-centered strategies and personal-information-requesting issues.
