      • OSS 게이트웨이의 보안 요구사항

        OSS systems that are represented by the carrier preselection and number portability services con no longer be operated by themselves in their own domains since the freedom and various changes in electronic commerce require the interconnections between the heterogeneous OSS systems. However, since the cost of direct internonnections of OSS systems is so enormous we must consider the use of OSS gateways to interconnect heterogeneous OSS systems. In this research, we analyze the security weakness for interconnecting OSS systems throught gateways and suggest the security requirements for the OSS gateway.

        Roads have been regarded as a means to accomplish well-balanced land development as well as vital social infrastructure, as a dramatic increase in the number of vehicles and the volume of traffic since the country headed toward the automobile era reflects the growth of Korean economy. Road maintenance along with road construction, therefore, has been considered as essential tasks that must be involved without exception. This means that road maintenance is not an incidental process in road construction, but is equally significant to construction or is an important field that should be treated more seriously. In a consequence, it was found that if databases are implemented in the future with quality digital image information accumulated from studies on roads, they will not only lead to cost reduction in the field of pavement management system and enhance the efficiency of systems, but will be able to provide the field of pavement management system with a large amount of information and data.

        무주지역에서 채취한 산삼 생육 토양미생물에 대한 동정 연구

        objectives : Microorganisms were isolated from soils remaining attached to the roots of Wild Panax ginseng C.A. Mey. naturally grown in Moo-Ju area. methods : As a preliminary study for the establishment of wild ginseng radix discrimination system based on area of growth, these isolates were identified by using mainly API 20NE and API 50CHB kits and the microbial consortia were compared. From the sample of Moo-Ju area, 9 and 6 strains were isolated and identified after the incubation of agar plates at 30℃ and 37℃, respectively. results : The results showed that 2 strains of soil bacteria, Aeromonas hydrophilia, and Bacillus cereus commonly existed in the roots of wild ginseng of both 30℃ and 37℃. And that 6 strains, Pseudomonas putida, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, Pseudomonas fluorescence at 30℃ and Bacillus subtilis, Empedobacter brevis, Brevi. laterosporus at 37℃, inhabited specifically in the roots of wild ginseng of Moo-Ju area. conclusion : These results suggest that comparison of microbial consortia associated with roots of wild ginseng could be used for the establishment of a naturally growing wild ginseng radix discrimination system.

        SUMO pathway is required for ribosome biogenesis

        Ribosomes, acting as the cellular factories for protein production, are essential for all living organisms. Ribosomes are composed of both proteins and RNAs and are established through the coordination of several steps, including transcription, maturation of ribosomal RNA (rRNA), and assembly of ribosomal proteins. In particular, diverse factors required for ribosome biogenesis, such as transcription factors, small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA)-associated proteins, and assembly factors, are tightly regulated by various post-translational modifications. Among these modifications, small ubiquitin-related modifier (SUMO) targets lots of proteins required for gene expression of ribosomal proteins, rRNA, and snoRNAs, rRNA processing, and ribosome assembly. The tight control of SUMOylation affects functions and locations of substrates. This review summarizes current studies and recent progress of SUMOylation-mediated regulation of ribosome biogenesis.         Advanced Technologies and Mechanisms for Yeast Evolutionary Engineering

        In vitro evolution is a powerful technique for the engineering of yeast strains to study cellular mechanisms associated with evolutionary adaptation; strains with desirable traits for industrial processes can also be generated. There are two distinct approaches to generate evolved strains in vitro: the sequential transfer of cells in the stationary phase into fresh medium or the continuous growth of cells in a chemostat bioreactor via the constant supply of fresh medium. In culture, evolutionary forces drive diverse adaptive mechanisms within the cell to overcome environmental or intracellular stressors. Especially, this engineering strategy has expanded to the field of human cell lines; the understanding of such adaptive mechanisms provides promising targets for the treatment of human genetic diseases and cancer. Therefore, this technology has the potential to generate numerous industrial, medical, and academic applications

      • Antibacterial effect of Scutellariae Radix on pathogenic bacteria

        Antibacterial effects on Salmonella typhimurium, a representative enteric pathogen by the extracts of Scutellariae Radix(Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi) and its major flavonoid components - Baicalin, Baicalein - were studied. Through Disc analysis, growth inhibition activity of Scutellariae Radix against S. typhimurium was found to be compatible with the commercial antibiotics such as ampicillin, tetracyclin, chloramphenicol, kanamycin. In addition, Disc analysis and minimum inhibitory concentration of Scutellaria Radix were investigated on various pathogenic bacteria such as Shigella sonnei, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Proteus vulgaris. Interestingly, the antibacterial effects seem to be only acting on pathogenic bacteria rather than normal non-pathogenic bacteria such as E. coli. These results suggest that the Scutellia Radix work as specific natural antibacterial substrate on pathogenic bacteria.

      • Isolation and Identification of Soil Bacteria in Wild Panax Ginseng Radix(Sansam) from Hongcheon Province, Korea

        Microorganisms were isolated from soils remaining attached to the roots of Wild Panax ginseng C.A Mey (Sansam) which were collected from Hongcheon province, Korea. As a preliminary study for the establishment of wild panax ginseng radix discrimination system based on area of growth, these isolates were identified by using mainly API 20NE and API 50CHB kits. From the soil sample, 3 microbial strains, Aeromonas hydrophilia, pseudomonas fluorescens, and Burkholderia cepacia, were isolated and identified after the incubation of agar plates at 30℃, and 3 different strains, Bacillus subtilis, Aeromonas hydrophilia, and Bacillus mycoides, were isolated and identified after the incubation of agar plates at 37℃. Among 4 strains initially isolated from the plates incubated at 37℃, two of them turned out to be the same species, Aeromonas hydrophilia. And also, Aeromonas hydrophilia was commonly isolated from both 30 and 37 culture plates.

        농촌산업화에 따른 농민예술의 변화

        산업화는 한국사회에서 그 이전과는 상상할 수 없을 정도의 변화를 주도했다. 농촌사회 역시 피해갈 수 없었다. 산업화라는 물결에 휩쓸린 농촌사회는 이전의 체계와는 다른 형태로 재편되어 갔다. 의무와 자율이 적절히 결합되었던 마을의 공동체성은 점차 약화되어 개별화 되어 갔다. 또한 생산의 주체는 소수 고령화 되어갔으며, 다수의 노동력이 조직적으로 사용되던 현장은 기계가 대신하게 되었다. 이러한 과정은 농민예술에도 영향을 미친다. 두레풍물이나 노동요, 지신밟기와 사설 등이 쇠퇴 혹은 단절에 이르기도 한다. 일제강점기에도 생명력을 유지 했던 농민예술이 산업화가 한장이던 1970년대와 1980년대 사이 상당수 단절되는 역사를 경험했던 것이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 농민예술은 농촌사회 안에서 또 다른 기능을 부여 받으며 여전히 연행되고 있다. 농민예술이 산업화 이전과는 다른 형태로 현실대응하며 연행되고 있다는 사실은 고도의 산업화가 이루어지는 과정이라 할지라도 예술로서 사회적 기능을 하고 있음을 보여주는 것이다. 그 근저에는 마을문화의 마지막 지킴이라는 책임도 있으며, 농민 스스로가 전승의 주체라는 인식과 더불어 새로운 문화를 만들어 간다는 자부심도 발견할 수 있다. 산업화에 따른 농촌사회의 변화는 농민예술을 위축시키고 소멸에 이르게 까지 했지만, 역으로 다시 생명력을 불어 넣어주는 요인이 되기도 하는 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 보았을 때 평촌들에서 전승되는 농민예술의 특징은 아래와 같다. 첫째, 산업화 과정 속에서 나타난 사회적ㆍ문화적 현상과 밀접한 관계를 맺으며 전승되고 있다. 둘째, 단절의 경험이 있으나 자발적인 노력에 의해 기억속의 농민예술이 다시 살아나 전승되고 있다. 셋째, 지역의 이익을 대변하며 지역과 전승 집단 간에 지속적인 상부상조관계를 유지하고 있다. 결과적으로 농민예술은 생산현장인 농촌에서 지속적으로 현실대응하며 변화해야 그 생명성을 유지할 수 있을 것이다. Industrialization in Korea has led to huge changes we couldn't even imagine. Without exception, rural society has been overwhelmed by industrialization and was also reorganized in various ways. Duties and voluntary works were properly harmonized in rural communities but their spirits have been weakened and individualized. Also, main groups in charge of production started. aging and a majority of farmers were replaced by machines. This transition has been reflected in peasant art. Durepungmul, Nodongyo song, Jibsinbapgi and Sasul, etc. died. out or were discontinued. Some of the peasant art which survived during the Japanese Occupation period experienced. discontinuance between 1970s and 1980s when Korean Industrialization took over the country. Nevetheless, peasant art still survived as it is given another role in rural society. Peasant art has still remained. as another type while harmonized with today's changes. This fact indicates peasant art still functions in its social role even though industrialization has progressed considerably. At its basis, peasants have a kind of responsibility as last protectors of rural culture and they recognize they are the main inheritance group of rural culture. In addition, they take pride in constructiong new rural culture. Due to numerous changes of rural society in accordance with industrialization, some of the peasant art withered or disappeared, but paradoxically peasant art gained another type of vitality through these changes. The characteristics of peasant an inherited. in Pyeongchons are as follows: Peasant an has been inherited. while closely connected. with social and cultural phenomena. Although some died out, peasant art survived in their memory and has been inherited through their voluntary efforts. Peasant an represents rural areas' voices and there remains a mutual connection between rural community and the art inheritance group. Conclusively, peasant art will keep its vitality when harmonized with today's rural life.
