        Deuterium Clusters Fusion Induced by the Intense Femtosecond Laser Pulse

        <P>Neutrons (2.45 MeV) from deuterium cluster fusion induced by the intense femtosecond (30 fs) laser pulse are experimentally demonstrated. The average neutron yield 10<SUP>3</SUP> per shot is obtained. It is found that the yield slightly increases with the increasing laser spot size. No neutron can be observed when the laser intensity I < 4.3×10<SUP>15</SUP> W/cm<SUP>2</SUP>.</P>

      • An Increase in Synaptic NMDA Receptors in the Insular Cortex Contributes to Neuropathic Pain

        <P><B>Stopping the Pain</B></P><P>Damage to the central or peripheral nervous system can trigger the development of neuropathic pain, which can manifest as painful sensations in response to stimuli that are not normally painful. Qiu <I>et al.</I> found that mice that had developed neuropathic pain after peripheral nerve injury showed changes in synaptic plasticity and increased abundance of synaptic NMDA receptors in the insular cortex, a region of the brain that is activated by acute and chronic pain. Using pharmacological inhibitors and transgenic mice, they mimicked these changes in vitro with insular cortical slices and thus identified the signaling pathway responsible. Mice injected with NMDA receptor inhibitors showed reduced behavioral signs of neuropathic pain after peripheral nerve injury. Thus, blocking NMDA receptor function in the insular cortex may prevent the development of neuropathic pain.</P>

        Factors Influencing the Adoption of Cloud Computing in Healthcare Organizations: A Systematic Review

        To analyze and compare the most influencing factors on cloud computing adoption (CCA) in the healthcare organization, a systematic review and meta-analyses of studies was performed using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) and Cochrane collaboration recommendations. A search of PubMed, ScienceDirect, Springer, Wiley Online, and Taylor & Francis Online digital libraries (From inception to January 19, 2022) was performed. A total of 17 studies met the defined studies’ inclusion and exclusion criteria. Statistical significance difference favoring most influencing factors on CCA were (MD 0.76, 95% CI -1.48 – 3.01, p <0.00001, I2 = 90%), (MD 1.40, 95% CI -4.76 – 7.55, p < 0.00007, I2 = 97%) (MD 0.17, 95% CI -2.69 – 3.03, p<0.00001, I2 = 96%) for technology vs. organizational, technology vs. environmental and business vs. human factors, respectively. Organizational and environmental factors had greater impacts on CCA compared with technological factors. Moreover, business factors were more influential than the human factors.

        中國白話語文敎材選編外國作品的百年歷程

        1904년에 만들어진 최초의 현대성을 가진 어문교과서인 『最新國文敎科書』에서부터 중국의 어문교과서는 외국작품을 선별하여 편찬하는 백년역정이 시작하였다. 본 논문은 1920년 이래에 백화(白話)어문교과서 중에 있는 외국작품을 연구대상으로 삼여 역년 이래에 있는 어문과목기준과 교수요목 등 정부가 공식적 발행된 문서를 자세히 해독하여 각 시기에 전형적인 백화어문교과서를 차트로 만들고 분석하는 것을 통하여 중국 백화어문교과서에서는 외국작품에 대한 선별하여 편찬하는 것이 세 단계를 거쳤던 것인 결론을 내렸다. 제일단계(1920년-1949년)는 문학교육 시기를 말할 수 있다. 이 단계에서 어문교육은 만청()과 민국(民國)초기에 성행된 실용주의와 언어교육을 위주로 하는 것을 그 후에 심미교육과 문학교육을 위주로 전화하였다. 이 시기에 중국의 백화 문학작품이 부족하기 때문에 어문교과서 중에 외국작품은 문학 교육적 책임을 맡았고 중국문학의 “구황자(救荒者)”인 역할로되었다. 제이단계(1949년-2000년)는 정치비판시기를 말할 수 있다. 이 단계에 어문교육이 정치도구로 되었고 교과서에서 선별하여 편찬된 외국작품들은 중국정치의 척도도 될 수 있고 사회주의를 찬미하여 자본주의를 비판하는 정치적 기능을 갖췄다. 제삼단계(2000년-현재)는 다원적 문화시기를 말할수 있다. 이 단계에 어문교육이 다원적 문화를 존중하는 것을 제창허여 어문교과서에 선정된 외국작품은 학생들이 세계적 다 문화를 배우는 중요한 수단이 되었다. 본 논문이 상술한 어문교과서에 있는 외국작품의 역사단계를 분석하여 연구하는 것은 현재와 미래에 중국 어문교과서를 편찬하는 것을 위해가치 있는 참고를 제공할 것이다. Chinese mother-tongue textbooks have selected and edited foreign works since the first series of modern Chinese mother-tongue textbooks Chinese National Readers, printed and published by the Commercial Press, Ltd in 1904. This paper discusses the stage of different development of foreign works in vernacular Chinese mother-tongue textbooks. By diagrams and statistics, it carefully analyzes all curriculum standards, teaching syllabi of Chinese mother-tongue education or other similar official documents which were written by Chinese government since 1920, and it also refers to some important textbooks which were edited according to these standards or syllabi. It concludes there are three stages of development of foreign works in vernacular Chinese mother-tongue textbooks since 1920. The first stage is the period of literary education during 1920-1949;the second stage is the period of political criticism during 1949-2000;the third stage is the period of cultural diversity in 21 century. In the future, Chinese textbooks will continue to include some foreign literary works, but they will gradually get rid of the interference of political factors. This paper will give some valuable advice for editors of Chinese mother-tongue books when they select and edit foreign works in the process of editing textbooks.

        Ellipsometric Study of the Optical Properties of Silver Oxide Prepared by Reactive Magnetron Sputtering

        A series of AgOx thin films were prepared by the DC-magnetron reactive-sputtering method at room temperature under different sputtering power and oxygen to argon ratio conditions. The optical properties of the AgOx films were studied by analysis of the spectroscopic ellipsometry data with the Tauc-Lorentz multi-oscillator model in the 1.5 4.5-eV photon-energy range. The spectra of absorption, XPS and PL were measured. The results indicate that the AgOx film changes from metallic to dielectric structure with increasing oxygen flux. Under the saturated oxidation condition after annealing, the dominating component will be Ag2O in the film to show indirect interband transitions occurring at about 0.57 eV and 2.43 eV, respectively, that are in agreement with the results of PL measurement and Lorentz analysis.

        An Improved Lightweight Two-Factor Authentication and Key Agreement Protocol with Dynamic Identity Based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography

        With the rapid development of the Internet of Things, the problem of privacy protection has been paid great attention. Recently, Nikooghadam et al. pointed out that Kumari et al.’s protocol can neither resist off-line guessing attack nor preserve user anonymity. Moreover, the authors also proposed an authentication supportive session initial protocol, claiming to resist various vulnerability attacks. Unfortunately, this paper proves that the authentication protocols of Kumari et al. and Nikooghadam et al. have neither the ability to preserve perfect forward secrecy nor the ability to resist key-compromise impersonation attack. In order to remedy such flaws in their protocols, we design a lightweight authentication protocol using elliptic curve cryptography. By way of informal security analysis, it is shown that the proposed protocol can both resist a variety of attacks and provide more security. Afterward, it is also proved that the protocol is resistant against active and passive attacks under Dolev-Yao model by means of Burrows-Abadi-Needham logic (BAN-Logic), and fulfills mutual authentication using Automated Validation of Internet Security Protocols and Applications (AVISPA) software. Subsequently, we compare the protocol with the related scheme in terms of computational complexity and security. The comparative analytics witness that the proposed protocol is more suitable for practical application scenarios.

      • B3GNT2, a Polylactosamine Synthase, Regulates Glycosylation of EGFR in H7721 Human Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cells

        The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is an important surface receptor with N-glycans in its extracellular domain, whose glycosylation is essential for its function, especially in tumor cells. Here, we demonstrated that polylactosamine is markedly increased in H7721 hepatocellular carcinoma cells after treatment with EGF, while it apparently declined after exposure to all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA). In the study of the enzymatic mechanism of this phenomenon, we explored changes in the expression of poly-N-acetyllactosamine (PLN) branching glycosyltransferases using RT-PCR. Among the four glycosyltransferases with altered expression, GnT-V was most elevated by EGF, while GnT-V and B3GNT2 were most declined by ATRA. Next, we conducted co-immunoprecipitation experiments to test whether B3GNT2 and EGFR associate with each other. We observed that EGFR is a B3GNT2-targeting protein in H7721 cells. Taken together, these findings indicated that the altered expression of B3GNT2 will remodel the PLN stucture of EGFR in H7721 cells, which may modify downstream signal transduction.

        Gingerol Inhibits Cisplatin-induced Vomiting by Down Regulating 5-Hydroxytryptamine, Dopamine and Substance P Expression in Minks

        Objective: To investigate the antiemetic effect of gingerol and its multi-targets effective mechanism on 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), dopamine (DA) and substance P (SP). The antiemetic effect of gingerol was investigated on a vomiting model of mink induced by cisplatin (7.5 mg· kg−1, i.p.) in 6 h observation. The levels of 5-HT, DA and distribution of substance P in the area postrema and ileum were measured by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and immunohistochemistry respectively. The frequency of cisplatin induced retching and vomiting was significantly reduced by pretreatment with gingerol in a dose-dependent manner (P<0.05). Cisplatin produced a significant increase in 5-HT and DA levels in the area postrema and ileum of minks (P<0.05), and this increase was significantly inhibited by gingerol in a dose-dependent manner (P<0.05). Substance P-immunoreactive was mainly situated in the mucosa and submucosa of ileum as well as in the neurons of area postrema, and gingerol markedly suppressed the increase immunoreactivity of substance P induced by cisplatin in a dose-dependent manner (P<0.05). Gingerol has good activity against cisplatin-induced emesis in minks possibly by inhibiting central or peripheral increase of 5-HT, DA and substance P.
