      • Study of decreased melanin production through p53 by heme oxygenase-1 inhibitor in normal human melanocytes

        Background: Heme oxygenase (HO)-1 is induced by oxidative stress and plays important roles in anti-apoptosis and the rapid growth of several solid tumors. p53 has a central role in skin pigmentation and may impact onmelanoma at all stages. However, there has been little study of HO-1 in relation with p53 on melanin production Objectives: To know the effect of HO-1 on melanogenesis through p53 in normal human melanocytes Methods: Human melanocytes (hM) were primarily cultured from foreskin. After incubation, cells were rinsed twice with PBS then transfection with p53 siRNA Results: Melanin content was detected with ELISA and Western blot analysis and RT-PCR of tyrosinase, MITF were performed after ZnPP treatment and p53 transfection. After ZnPP treatment, melanin content was decreased, and tyrosinase and MITF protein levels were decreased. Tyrosinase and MITF mRNA levels were also decreased. However, melanin content and tyrosinase and MITF protein levels were increased after CoPP treatment. After p53 transfection, HO-1 expression was decreased when HO-1 stimulator was treated. In addition, melanin content was decreased, and tyrosinase expression was decreased in Western blot analysis Conclusion: These results suggest that melanogenesis is inhibited by ZnPP by decreased melanin production, tyrosinase and MITF protein and mRNA levels. Furthermore, those inhibitory effects of ZnPP may be dependent on p53 in normal human melanocytes. Therefore, HO-1 may play an important role in melanogensis

        Upregulation of heme oxygenase-1 by ginsenoside Ro attenuates lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation in macrophage cells

        Background: The beneficial effects of ginsenoside species have been well demonstrated in a number of studies. However, the function of ginsenoside Ro (GRo), an oleanane-type saponin, has not been suffi- ciently investigated. Thus, the aim of the present study was to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of GRo in vitro using the Raw 264.7 mouse macrophage cell line treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS), and to clarify the possible mechanism of GRo involving heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), which itself plays a critical role in self-defense in the presence of inflammatory stress. Methods: Raw 264.7 cells were pretreated with GRo (up to 200mM) for 1 h before treatment with 1 mg/ mL LPS, and both cell viability and inflammatory markers involving HO-1 were evaluated. Results: GRo significantly increased cell viability in a dose dependent manner following treatment with LPS, and decreased levels of reactive oxygen species and nitric oxide. GRo decreased inflammatory cytokines such as nitric oxide synthase and cyclooxygenase-2 induced by LPS. Moreover, GRo increased the expression of HO-1 in a dose dependent manner. Cotreatment of GRo with tin protoporphyrin IX, a selective inhibitor of HO-1, not only inhibited upregulation of HO-1 induced by GRo, but also reversed the anti-inflammatory effect of GRo in LPS treated Raw 264.7 cells. Conclusion: GRo induces anti-inflammatory effects following treatment with LPS via upregulation of HO-1.

        네이티브 광고의 브랜드 및 제품 노출이 수용자의 광고 인지와 태도, 공유 의도에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 60명을 대상으로 아이트래킹과 실험연구를 병행하여 네이티브 광고의 효과를 파악하기 위해 네이티브 광고에 대한 인지, 수용자 태도, 공유 의도를 검증하였다. 구체적으로 네이티브 광고를 콘텐츠와 브랜드 및 제품의 노출 형태(직접 노출/간접 노출)를 고려하여 두 유형의 네이티브 광고에 대한 시각적 주의가 피험자들의 광고 인지에 미치는 영향을 비교하였다. 또한 두 유형의 네이티브 광고에 대한 태도(콘텐츠 태도, 브랜드 태도, 공유 의도)를 측정하여 각 유형에 따른 차이를 비교하였다. 분석결과, 직접 노출 형태의 네이티브 광고의 구성 요소 중 콘텐츠 본문에 브랜드 관련 문구를 포함하였을 때 피험자들의 광고 인지에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 각 노출 유형별 콘텐츠 태도의 차이는 유의미하지 않았으나, 직접 노출일 때 브랜드 태도가 더 호의적인 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 직접 노출일 때 네이티브 광고의 공유 의도는 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 종합하여 네이티브 광고 제작을 위한 실무적 제언을 담았다. This study explored the effects of native advertising on readers’ recognition, attitude, and sharing intention. This study used both quasiᐨexperiment and eyeᐨtracking for 60 participants to analyze advertising effectiveness (Attitudes toward contents/brands, and sharing intention) of two types native advertisements such as brand exposure (direct/indirect). According to the result of this study, direct exposure type ads had a high advertisement recognition that included brand wording in ad contents. In addition, there was no significant difference of attitudes toward contents among each ad types but direct exposure type ads had more favorable brand attitude than indirect type ads. Finally, this study also showed that the sharing intention of direct exposure type ads were higher than indirect type ads. Based on the findings, this study provided a practical implication for the production of native advertising.

        3차원 전산화단층촬영 영상을 이용한 안면 연조직 두께 계측의 임상적 유용성

        Purpose : To evaluate clinical usefulness of facial soft tissue thickness measurement using 3D computed tomographic images. Materials and Methods : One cadaver that had sound facial soft tissues was chosen for the study. The cadaver was scanned with a Helical CT under following scanning protocols about slice thickness and table speed; 3 mm and 3 mm/sec, 5 mm and 5 mm/sec, 7 mm and 7 mm/sec. The acquired data were reconstructed 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 mm reconstruction interval respectively and the images were transferred to a personal computer. Using a program developed to measure facial soft tissue thickness in 3D image, the facial soft tissue thickness was measured. After the ten-time repeation of the measurement for ten times, repeated measure analysis of variance (ANOVA) was adopted to compare and analyze the measurements using the three scanning protocols. Comparison according to the areas was analyzed by Mann-Whitney test. Results : There were no statistically significant intraobserver differences in the measurements of the facial soft tissue thickness using the three scanning protocols (p>0.05). There were no statistically significant differences between measurements in the 3 mm slice thickness and those in the 5 mm, 7 mm slice thickness (p>0.05). There were statistical differences in the 14 of the total 30 measured points in the 5 mm slice thickness and 22 in the 7mm slice thickness. Conclusion : The facial soft tissue thickness measurement using 3D images of 7 mm slice thickness is acceptable clinically, but those of 5 mm slice thickness is recommended for the more accurate measurement.

      • 아동의 성과 운동참가가 신체적 자기개념에 미치는 영향

        본 연구에서는 신체적 성장과 발달적 변화 뿐 아니라 심리·정서적 변화를 나타내고 있는 아동의 성과 규칙적인 운동참가가 신체적 자기개념에 미치는 영향을 살퍼보았다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울에 소재한 B, C와 Y초등학교 6학년 355명(남 172명, 여 183명)이었고, 1주일에 3일 이상, 매일 1시간 정도의 신체활동에 참여한 아동을 운동참가 집단으로 설정하였으며, 김병준(2001)이 계발한 한국판 신체적 자기개념 측정도구를 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 신체적 자기개념 측정도구는 스포츠유능감, 체지방/날씬함, 외모, 건강, 신체활동, 자기존중감, 유연성, 지구력, 근력과 신체전반의 10개 하위요인으로 구성되어 있으며, 각 하위요인별 4개 문항씩 총 40문항으로 구성되어 있다. 연구결과를 살피보면, 먼저 성과 운동참가 여부에 따라 신체적 자기개념간의 상관을 살펴본 결과 스포츠유능감 요인이 다른 하위요인과 높은 상관이 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 성별에 따른 신체적 자기개념의 차이를 규명하기 위해 다변량분석(MANOVA)을 실시한 결과, 스포츠유능감, 외모, 신체활동과 지구력 요인에서 남자가 여자보다 신체적 자기개념이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 신채활동 요인의 차이가 신체적 자기개념의 성차에 가장 큰 역할을 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 운동참가 여부에 따라 신체적 자기개념의 차이를 살펴본 결과 스포츠유능감, 외모, 신체활동, 지구력, 유연성, 근력과 신체전반 요인에서 운동참가 집단이 운동비참가 집단보다 신체적 자기개념이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 스포츠유능감 요인이 운동참가와 운동비참가 집단간의 다변인적 차이에 가장 큰 역할을 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of gender and involving physical activity on the physical self-description. The subjects were 355 students(male:172, female:183) in 6th grade in elementary schools in Seoul. The data for this study was collected through the survey questionnaires. The questionnaires of this study was Korean version of the PSDQ (Physical Self-Description Questionnaire; Kim, 2001). The statistics used for data analysis were Cronbach a, descriptive factor analysis, correlation, one-way ANOVA, MANOVA analysis in SPSS 11.0. From the analysis of the data, the conclusions of this study were obtained as follows; Physical self-description was higher in the male than in the female. Especially, physical activity factor was important role in the gender difference of the physical self-description. Also, Involving physical activity group was higher physical self-description than non-involving physical activity group. Sports competance factor was important role in the group difference of the physical self-description.

      • FDTD 기법을 이용한 도파관과 공동의 결합 해석

        In this paper, an investigation of microwave coupling between waveguide and cavity with a lossy dielectric material by the Finite- Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method is undertaken. We have assumed that the waveguide is excited by the magnetron which is modeled as a monopole with a delta gap source or frill generator. Numerical simulation indicates that the shape of cavity becomes very important when predicting the dissipated power distribution for a lossy dielectric material inside a cavity.

      • 걷기운동과 걷기운동 후 진동운동 병행 방법이 중년 비만 여성의 신체조성에 미치는 영향

        In the present study, the effects of walking exercise applying whole body vibration exercise on a body composition(Weight, %Fat, Fat, Body Mass Index; BMI, Soft Lean Mass, and Waist-Hip Ratio; WHR) change in a middle-aged obese female, and to figure out which method are more effective on those variables was investigated. Subjects were divided into two groups: the walking group(A, n=9) and the walking+whole vibration group(B, n=8). In an intensity of walking treadmill exercise was same in each group(HRmax60%), however A group has treated just walking on the treadmill with 40min and B group has 30min walking and applied 10min of whole vibration exercise. The results are as follows; 1. After 8 weeks training, there were no significant changed on weight, BMI, %Fat and Soft Lean Mass in A group, however, it have shown to decrease at Fat(kg) and WHR. And B group have appeared to have decreased at weight, BMI, %Fat, Fat(kg) and WHR, 8 weeks of training, respectably, except Soft Lean Mass. 2. After 8 weeks training, there were no significant reduction showed between groups. Overall, its applying whole vibration exercise with walking seemed to be effect on a decomposition of body fat, and these results suggested to apply those kind methods should include aerobic exercise, such as walking and running etc, for increasing the its effects.

      • 도재용 금속 코핑의 처리 방법에 따른 변연 적합도에 관한 연구

        The effect of thermocycling and surface finishing on the marginal fidelity of copings for a metal ceramic crown was examined. Methods for minimizing the loss of marginal fidelity were evaluated. The results were as follows ; 1. Thermocycling of ceramic metal copings resulted in increased marginal gap. 2. The greatest marginal gap occurred during the first thermocycling of the copings. 3. No additional distortion of marginal fidelity occurred when surface finishing and second thermocycling were completed after initial thermocycling. 4. The gap increases according to various treatment methods showed group 1 to be the highest values. 5. There was no significant difference between group 2 and group 3(p>0.05). 6. There was significant difference between group 1 and group 2, 3(p<0.05). 7. There was no significant difference among the measurement sites.
