Applications of quasi power increasing sequences to infinite series
Hikmet Seyhan Ozarslan,Mehmet Oner Sakar,Bagdagul Kartal 한국전산응용수학회 2023 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.41 No.1
In the present paper, two theorems on absolute matrix summability of infinite series are generalized for the $\varphi-|A,p_n|_k$ summability method using quasi $\beta$-power increasing sequences instead of almost \linebreak increasing sequences.

An Application of Absolute Matrix Summability using Almost Increasing and δ-quasi-monotone Sequences
Ozarslan, Hikmet Seyhan Department of Mathematics 2019 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.59 No.2
In the present paper, absolute matrix summability of infinite series is studied. A new theorem concerning absolute matrix summability factors, which generalizes a known theorem dealing with absolute Riesz summability factors of infinite series, is proved using almost increasing and ${\delta}$-quasi-monotone sequences. Also, a result dealing with absolute $Ces{\grave{a}}ro$ summability is given.

This study aims to evaluate the tribological and corrosion properties of the electroless Ni-B coating deposited on AISI 304 stainless steels. The microstructure of the coating was characterized using x-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectrometry (SEM-EDS). XRD analysis revealed that the prepared coating possessed an amorphous character. SEM-EDS investigation also indicated that a non-stoichiometric Ni-B coating was deposited with a columnar growth mechanism on the stainless steel substrate and the morphology of the growth surface was blackberry-like. The hardness and tribological properties were characterized by microhardness and a pin-on-disc wear test. The electroless Ni-B coated sample had a higher degree of hardness, a lower friction coefficient and a lower wear rate than the uncoated substrate. The electrochemical potentiodynamic polarization method was used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the coating. The electroless Ni-B coating offered cathodic protection on the substrate by acting as a sacrificial anode although it was electrochemically more reactive than the stainless steel substrate.

Thisstudy aims to investigate the protective effects of kefir against myocardial infarction induced by isoproterenol (ISO). The rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, each group consisting of 8 rats. The control group, the kefir group (5 mL/kg/d kefir administered to rats as intra-gastric gavage for 60 d), the ISO group (100 mg/kg ISO was administered to rats, s.c. on 61. and 62. d), and kefir+ISO group (5 mL/kg/d kefir was administered to rats intra gastric gavage for 60 days prior to ISO, 100 mg/kg in twodoses on day 61 and 62). 12 h after the last ISO dose, all rats were decapitated and their blood samples were collected. Cardiac tissue was reserved for histopathological examination. creatine kinase (CK), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), triglycerides, total cholesterol, very low density lipoprotein (VLDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL), high density lipoprotein (HDL) and glucose were measured by autoanalyzer, whole blood malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH) and plasma advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP) levels were measured spectrophotometrically. It was determined that in the group of kefir+ISO, the levels of AST (p
Comparative dynamic analysis of axially loaded beams on modified Vlasov foundation
Çağlayan Hızal,Hikmet Hüseyin Çatal 국제구조공학회 2016 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.57 No.6
Vibration analysis of the beams on elastic foundation has gained the great interest of many researchers. In the literature, there are many studies that focus on the free vibration analysis of the beams on one or two parameter elastic foundations. On the other hand, there are no sufficient studies especially focus on the comparison of dynamic response including the bending moment and shear force of the beams resting on Winkler and two parameter foundations. In this study, dynamic response of the axially loaded Timoshenko beams resting on modified Vlasov type elastic soil was investigated by using the separation of variables method. Governing equations were obtained by assuming that the material had linear elastic behaviour and mass of the beam was distributed along its length. Numerical analysis were provided and presented in figures to find out the differences between the modified Vlasov model and conventional Winkler type foundation. Furthermore, the effect of shear deformation of elastic soil on the dynamic response of the beam was investigated.
Statistical modeling of activated carbon production from spent mushroom compost
Şeyda Karadirek,Hikmet Okkay 한국공업화학회 2018 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.63 No.-
Activated carbons were prepared from spent mushroom compost using H3PO4 as activating agent. The effects of temperature (°C), impregnant ratio (H3PO4/biomass) and time (min) were determined by using Response Surface Methodology. The micropore area is above 75% of the total surface area. The activated carbon which has the maximum adsorption capacity with the largest specific surface area (1419.108 m2/g) was produced at the experimental conditions T = 450 °C, IR = 3.5:1 g/g and t = 50 min. The maximum activated carbon yield (56.2%) was obtained at 350 °C with an impregnant ratio of 1.5:1 g/g for 30 min.
