X-관련성 만성육아종성질환의 진단을 위한 PMA-activated NBT 검사

목적 : Activated NBT 검사는 만성육아종성질환을 선별하는 검사이다. 활성제로 PMA를 사용하면 X-linked CGD의 경우 보인자를 감별할 수 있다. 방법 : CGD의 가족력을 부인하는 정상인 30명을 대상으로 PMA activated NBT 슬라이드 검사를 실시하여, 정상대조에서의 formazan 형성율을 보았으며, 동일 검사를 CGD가 강력히 의심되는 환자와 그 가족에 대하여 실시하였다. 결과 : 정상대조 30명 전원에서 98% 이상의 formazan 형성세포가 관찰되었다. 환자에게 실시한 결과 세환자 모두에서 0%의 결과를 보였다. 환자의 어머니에서는 각각 57, 70, 67%의 결과를 보였다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통하여 세 환자는 X-관련성 만성육아종성질환이라는 진단을 내릴 수 있었다. PMA activated NBT 슬라이드 검사는 시행하기가 쉽고 재현성이 좋으므로, 어러 검사실에서 소아기 면역결핍증을 선별하는 검사의 하나로 시행되는게 바람직하다고 사료된다. Background : Chronic granulomatous disease(CGD) is uncommon inherited disorder in which phagocytic cells fail to produce antimicrobial superoxide(O₂) due to NADPH oxidase deficiency. This disease can be easily screened by activated nitroblue tetrazolium(NBT) test. In case of X-linked CGD, carriers also can be detected. Methods : PMA(phorbol myristate acetate) activated NBT test was performed as previously described. Test performance was evaluated in 30 normal persons who denied family history mimicking CGD. Test was also applied to the three strongly suspected cases of CGD. Two of the cases were 12 year old boy and 7 year old boy, who suffered from many infectious diseases since 6 month old and 4 month old, respectively. The other remaining case was 22 year old man who suffered from many infectious diseases since 6 year old, but now relatively in health compared to the other two cases. Results : More than 98% formazan formation was observed in all normal controls. No formazan positive cell was shown in all of the three patients. However, applied to the mothers, the test revealed 57%, 70%, 67% positive cells, respectively. Conclusion:X-linked transmission of CGD could be determined with the results of PMA activated NBT slide test. This test can be easily performed. It would be better to do this test routinely as one of the tests for the screening of the immmunodeficiency syndrome in childhood.

This paper has been carried out ot clarify the behavior of the BUE experimented Aluminium with using tungsten caribide tools. The results obtained are as follow : There was the block that varied suddenly at the initial cutting force. From the point of cutting distance 150㎜ Happened the BUE and the cutting force was the normal state. As share angle is increased, compression coefficient of the chip are increased. Relation between the friction coefficient of chip side and tool rake side can make the modelization studying the BUE size. As cutting speed is increased, chip thickness is decreased.

난소의 미성숙 기형종 1예

The immature teratoma is the third most commin germ cell tumor of the ovary. It contains a variable amount of immature tissue derived from the three germ cell layers-ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm. Most commonly the immature elements are neural origin. With the usage of chemotherapy following appropriate surgery, prognosis for patient with malignant germ cell tumor was improved considerably. We had experienced a case of immature teratoma of ovary. We report the case with review of the concerned literatures.

난소 갑상선종의 1예

Struma ovarii is a mature cystic teratoma of the ovary. It is an uncommon tumor accounting for 2.7% of all ovarian teratomas and composed totally or in overwhelming proportion of thyroid tissues. When thyroid tissue constitutes more than 50% of the tumor, it is usually called a struma ovarii. Grossly, they are encapsulated, several centimeters in diameter and have a red, shiny, and meaty surface. Microscopically, the tumor is composed of mature thyroid tissue consisting of various sizes, lined by a single layer of columnar or flattened epithelium. The clinical behavior is benign and simple excision is adequate treatment. We have experienced a case of struma ovarii arising from the left ovary. So, we report this case with review of literatures.

복식 전자궁적출술에 관한 임상적 고찰

Hysterectomy is one of the most common surgical procedures performed; after cesarean delivery, it is the second most frequently performed major surgical procedure in the U.S. This study was attempted to analysis 440 consecutive abdominal hysterectomies, especially concerned with its indication and complication, from January 1, 1995 to December 31, 1996 at the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Wonkwang University hospital. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The most common age distribution was 40 to 49 years with 41.4 years of mean age. 2. There couldn't be found any relationship between the indication of surgery and the parity. 3. The most common symptom and sign was lower abdominal pain(52.0 %) and followed by hypermenorrhea(31.3 %) and palpable mass(18.4 %). 4. 29.8 % of all cases was anemic in preoperative check of hemoglobin level, and in 14.3 % of all cases, correction of level was necessary. 5. The uterine myoma was most commonly indicated for Total abdominal hysterectomy (66.8 %) and cervical carcinoma was 7.7 % of all cases. 6. Majority of cases were received abdominal hysterectomies, including 25 cases of radical hysterectomies with pelvic lymphadenectomy. 7. Leiomyoma was the most common postoperative pathologic findings(69.1 %) and followed by adenomyosis(58.4 %). 8. Overall complication rate of abdominal hysterectomy was 21.5 %, which included febrile morbidity of 15.5 %, anemia of 14.1 % and upper respiratory tract infection of 6.1 %.

In order to develop the curriculum of the fishery department in the fisheries Jr. college, We have collected and analyzed the domistic and foreign data adquated to the fishey department under the international trend, also we gathered the opinion from the inquiring paper investigation and consultation to the industrial field, concerned college and graduate during the 6 month from September 1982. The fishery department curriculum in fisheries Jr. college will be industrialized with the concerned technics and knowledge in relation to speciality of maritime affairs. Accordingly, we have developed the adquate curriculum which is practical and can be cultivated the technician to adopt in the industrial society.

이동통신 멀티미디어 데이터서비스의 트래픽 특성 모델링 및 성능분석

The aim of this study is to identify the data traffic capacity of 3G mobile communication networks, especially of cdma2000-1X networks. Three-layered ON/OFF traffic model is used to describe the dynamics of data traffics and the process of data transmission such as packet scheduling. We construct a simulator fully incorporating packet handling process of cdma2000-1X data network as well as three-layered ON/OFF traffic model describing the behavior of source data traffics. To get influence of traffic parameters on performance measures, the extensive simulations were performed for several data sets which are obtained from real trace data or previous studies. The experimental results show that the engineered throughput satisfying QoS criteria is approximately 20% of total capacity. Finally, some proposals to improve the system capacity are followed.
