        18세기 八公山地域佛畵의 畵派와 特徵

        현대 韓國佛畵 傳統의 大脈은 高麗 後期와 朝鮮 後期에서 각각 찾을 수 있다. 이 두 시대에 형성된 불화는 當代 미술문화의 표상이기도 하지만 또한 양적 풍요와 질적 우수성으로 현대 한국불화의 전승과 발전의 듬직한 기반이다. 특히 조선 후기 불화는 신앙과 더불어 圖像, 民間習俗, 地域的 특수성 등 풍부한 내용으로 다방면 학술자료로 제공되고 있다. 18세기의 불화의 경우, 조선불화사 전체로서도 중요한 위치를 점하며, 17세기와 19세기의 불화양식과 교량으로써 조선 후기 불화 전반을 이해하는 중요한 관건이다. 이 논문은 18세기 불화양식을 토대로 팔공산지역에서 불화를 그린 화사들의 개성 있는 화풍을 소개한다. 팔공산지역 화파의 작품은 활동기인 18세기를 제1기(1690년대-1730년대)ㆍ제2기(1740년대-1760년대)ㆍ제3기(1770년대-1810년대)로 나누고, 보편양식과 결부시켜 고찰하였다. 제1기 불화의 보편성은 17세기에서 18세기로 이행하는 불화양식의 과도양상을 공유한다는 점이다. 이 시기에는 화면의 장엄모티프에서 조선 전기의 불화요소들이 지속적으로 잔존하는가 하면, 대범한 화면구성과 생경한 형태의 존상 등 새로운 도상들이 도입되었다. 더불어 사실성이 강한 각종의 초화문들이 시문되었으며, 밝고 선명한 색채와 굵은 선묘의 윤곽표현이 활달하게 묘사되었다. 더욱이 괘불이라는 독특한 형식의 불화가 활발히 제작되면서, 그 형식이 일반 후불도에도 영향을 미쳤다. 의균파는 전후시기의 양상이 혼재되면서 문양ㆍ색채ㆍ도상에서 18세기 초반의 특징을 잡아나갔던 이 시기 불화의 보편성을 전제로 자신들의 개성을 표출하였다. 제2기에는 원근적 군집형 구도가 화면구성의 주된 형식으로 자리잡았으며, 비례가 자연스럽고 풍모 또한 균형 잡혀 있으며 안정감 있는 형태의 존상이 그려졌다. 화사 저마다의 취향을 반영하는 화려하면서 한편으로 깊고 짙은 색채가 다양하게 선보였다. 팔공산일대 불화의 제2기, 즉 18세기 중반은 상오, 처일 등과 임한파의 일원들이 이 지역 불화계에 영향력을 지니고 활동하였으며 그들의 개성을 추구하였다. 제3기의 불화는 당연히 다음세기인 19세기에 진행될 화풍, 그리고 도상과 밀접하다. 이 시기에는 전대의 화면구성요소에 간략한 구성이 빈도수를 늘려가며, 존상의 형태와 장엄모티브는 이전에 비해 더욱 도안화된다. 색감도 단조로워지고, 형태, 배치 등 또한 일률성이 강화된다. 도안화된 모티프를 주로 사용하였다. 19세기 불화의 특징인 양록색과 호분(또는 백토)을 가미해 밝지만 탁한 색감이고, 두터운 채색으로 기초선묘는 거의 가려진다. 이로 인해 존상의 형체가 정지된 느낌이 강하다. 이 시기 활동한 유성파와 지연파는 자신의 작품활동을 통해 이같은 양상을 예시하며, 동시에 그들만의 개성을 강조하였다. Starting with the history of Korean buddhism, the Palgongsan region has been a place where Korean buddhist culture was developed and enriched in each era. On the establishment of Joseon dynasty, however, the Buddhist suppression was executed. Korean buddhism was not released from the shock until the middle of Joseon dynasty. Especially, there was a turning point at the end of the Joseon dynasty, which made buddhist temples evolve under the special patronage of Royal families. Being designated by the Injong's Taesil (a place where the umbilical cords of Royal families were buried) Eunhaesa became an official memorial house for Royal families. So did Pagyesa at the birth of Youngjo. Pagyesa was also the temple royal where the prayers for the king's long life were offered and it enjoyed its heyday during the 18th century in Youngjo's regime. Besides, with the patronage of Royal families every temple in the Palgongsan region was exempted from doing corvee and rendering tribute so that they could save surplus products and use them to plan for blooming Buddhist rituals. At the same time, talented buddhist painters turned out and the unique territory of buddhist paintings was settled down in the area. The following buddhist painters became distinguised: Uigyun (義均), Seokmin (碩敏), Chewhan (體環), Chegyun (體俊) in Donghwasa (桐華寺), Cheo-il (處一) in Busdoam (浮屠庵), Geonheun (謹軒) and Jawhan (自環) in Woonbuam (雲浮庵), Jiyeon (指演) in Eunhaesa. In addition, the painters active near the region such as Yimhan (任閑), Yusung (有成) supported the succession of the buddhist painting schools in the area. The buddhist paintings of this region in the 18th century can be categorized by 3 different periods. During the 1st period the school of Takhui (卓輝) and that of Uigyun (義均) took an active part. Their paintings shows not only the styles of the 17th century in the composition and the decorative elements for religious grandeur but the new constituents from the outside. Particularly. it is interesting to compare the different developments of the two schools in their styles. The school of Uigyun (義均). on the other hand, was more conservative in their styles and territory. They had their own styles and developed them in rather a consistent way. On the 2nd period, Cheo-il (處一) was a leading painter and began establishing the characteristics of the mid-18th century buddhist paintings. Cheo-il (處一) reflected the styles of Seguan (世冠), Yimhan (任閑) and others' and combined them to form his own style. On the bight picture plane his paintings convey stability and serenity with the boldly omitted compositions. Especially, with rich colors Cheo-il (處一) brought up a new model in the 18th century buddhist paintings. As for the 3rd stage, the schools of Jiyeon (指演) and Yusung (有成) were active. Both of them were conspicuous as well as prolific under the highly-elated demands for buddhist paintings. Above all. they contributed to building up the styles of buddhist paintings succeeded to the 19th and 20th century with various elements such as the compositions, the shapes of buddhist images. the motifs for the religious grandeur and colors, etc..

        전 세계적으로 건강, 환경보호, 윤리적 소비를 추구하는 소비자들이 증가하면서 다양한 분야에서 동물성 제품을 섭취하거나 소비하지 않는 생활방식인 비거니즘(Veganism)을 지향하는 사람들이 증가하고 있다. 한국 또한 매년 채식에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있지만 외국에 비해 채식하기에 좋은 환경은 구축되어 있지 않으며 가공식품을 구매할 경우 성분 표를 일일이 확인해야 하는 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 사용자가 섭취하고자 하는 가공식품의 성분을 분석하여 본인의 채식주의자 단계에 적합한 제품인지 쉽게 판별할 수 있는 모바일 앱을 제안한다.

        In this study, friction and wear of stainless steel was examined as functions of time, speed, load, and grinding fluids. Surface roughness and the friction coefficient were monitored during tribotests using a block-on-disk tester. The surface roughness of the steel after tests was strongly affected by the load and type of grinding fluid used during grinding. Results showed that the steel ground with mineral oil as grinding fluid showed high surface roughness while the coefficient of friction was lower than other cases. In this paper, the possible mechanism for this salient result is discussed, providing a possible methodology for improving corrosion resistance of the steel surface after grinding operation.

        Thermally Crosslinked Biocompatible Hydrophilic Polyvinylpyrrolidone Coatings on Polypropylene with Enhanced Mechanical and Adhesion Properties

        We developed a stable hydrophilic biocompatible hydrogel-forming coating for polypropylene (PP)-based disposal medical applications. Although PP has a variety of advantages, including good stability and inertness in medical applications, tissue damage and insertion resistance are observed upon insertion of PP-based devices into the human body due to the high hydrophobicity of the PP surface. These issues limit the utility of PP in medical applications. To address these problems, we sought to develop a stable hydrophilic and biocompatible hydrogel-forming layer using polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) combined with a crosslinked polyethyleneglycolacrylate (PEGDA) matrix. Systematic studies of the blended hydrogel-forming PVP:PEGDA were conducted using a variety of blending ratios between the two polymers. The hydrophilicity and water-affinity of the hydrogel-forming layer improved significantly as the PEGDA-to-PVP blending ratio increased. Importantly, the tensile strain at the break point increased by a factor of more than 7, and the strength of adhesion to the PP surface for the 1:1 PVP:PEGDA (PVP(1):PEGDA(1)) blend ratio was 54 times that of the PVP film, determined using tensile strain-stress and peel tests. The water stability of the PVP(1):PEGDA(1) improved significantly. This approach is potentially useful as a biocompatible hydrophilic polymer coating in a variety of low-priced consumable PP commercial medical applications.

      • Syndecan transmembrane domain modulates intracellular signaling by regulating the oligomeric status of the cytoplasmic domain

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Cell surface receptors must specifically recognize an extracellular ligand and then trigger an appropriate response within the cell. Their general structure enables this, as it comprises an extracellular domain that can bind an extracellular ligand, a cytoplasmic domain that can transduce a signal inside the cell to produce an appropriate response, and a transmembrane domain that links the two and is responsible for accurately delivering specific information on a binding event from the extracellular domain to the cytoplasmic domain, to trigger the proper response. A vast body of research has focused on elucidating the specific mechanisms responsible for regulating extracellular binding events and the subsequent interactions of the cytoplasmic domain with intracellular signaling. In contrast, far less work has focused on examining how the transmembrane domain links these domains and delivers the necessary information. In this review, we propose the importance of the transmembrane domain as a signal regulator. We highlight the cell adhesion receptor, syndecan, as a special case, and propose that the transmembrane domain-mediated oligomerization of the syndecan cytoplasmic domain is a unique regulatory mechanism in syndecan signaling.</P>

      • 체질임상정보 수집을 위한 eCRF 시스템 구축

        Objectives : Recently, in Sasang Constitution Medicine (SCM), many researchers have studied to construct objective diagnose tool for the SCM type. It is most important to collect correct constitutional clinical data in these studies. Methods : In our work, we construct a web-based system for collecting constitutional clinical data effectively. Results & Conclusion : The system offers 4 types of input programs, which helps to collect clinical information from various hospitals, and performs verification service to minimize input errors. Currently, we have collected about four thousands data using the our system and we will provide several analysis tool in the system for researchers.
