The mental seems to be distinct from the physical. However, as long as we acept the existence of causation between the mental and the physical, we cannot regard them as two discernible domains. Therefore it will be hard to explain the mental apart from the physical, if we see the domains with one sided perspective. Mind-body problem is to harmonize the mental distinguished from the physical. In other word the mind-body is the problem how to get the mental have causal roles in the physical world. The concept of psychophysical supervenience which has been so far regarded as an effective theory in philosophy of mind is not so satisfactory for explaining the relation between the mental and the physical.

The heat generation mechanism of angular contact ball bearing are analyzed. The heat generation rate and ball temperature of angular contact ball bearing are calculated with respect to the various shaft speed, load and lubrication method. The analysis is focused mainly on the predominant sources of heat generation which are spin-moment, gyro-moment, torque due to applied load and viscous friction torque. The viscosity of lubricant is assumed to be a function of the temperature only and the contact between ball and race is assumed to be elastic. Lumped capacitance method is adopted to compute ball temperature. Effective load is calculated iteratively considering the rate of ball expansion due to the temperature rise.

This experimental study was performed to investigate the effects of Mokyou-Tang on cell cycle and gene expressions of human lung cancer cell. I examined the cell cycle progression and cell cycle-related gene expression in A549 using a flow cytometry and a quantitative PT-PCR analysis. The treatment groups, in accordance with concentration of Mokyou-Tang were classified as 3 group(MYT 100㎕/㎖, MYT 500㎕/㎖, MYT 1,000㎕/㎖), and according to treatment time, were classified as 2 group(24hours, 48hours). The results were summarized as follows; 1. In cell cycle stage, MYT 100㎕/㎖(48hours) and 1000㎕/㎖(48hours) groups were increased as compared with control group, especially 1000㎕/㎖(48hours) group showed eminent increase. 2. In p53 gene, MYT 500㎕/㎖(48hours) and 1000㎕/㎖(48hours) groups showed eminent suppressive effect to cancer cell. 4. CDKNI gene was decreased in all treatment groups, this mean that MYT has suppressive effect to proliferation of cancer cell. 4. In GADD45 gene was decreased in all treatment groups, this mean that MYT has suppressive effect to proliferation of cancer cell. The results suggest that MYT promotes G1 cell cycle arrest and suppresses the proliferation of cancer cell. Thus, it seems likely that MYT has suppressive effect to proliferation of lung cancer cell.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of preceptorship on On the Job Training of new nurses. The research design was a retrospective survey and one group pre-rost test design. The subjects were 49 entry nurses and 49 preceptors The data were collected from Feburary 1, 1998 to December 1, 1998. One questionnair applied in this study consisted of general characteristics, the responses of new entry nurses and their preceptors and their qualities. The other questionnair consisted of job satisfaction of new entry nurses and Preceptors and their competencies. The data were analyzed for frequencies, mean score, standard deviation, t-test, and ANOVA. The results of the study were as follows : 1) Preceptees's responses were that the nurses' affiliation of unit. cooperation of other nurses, and competencies of nursing skills improved after OJT applied preceptorship. 2) Preceptors's answers were that preceptorship had a positive effect on their continuing education. 3) While preceptees's job satisfaction scores were high in interaction, administration, and organization, they were low in autonomy and pay. 4) Pre-competency scores were the same as post-competency scores. 5) After preceptorship, preceptors responded that their nursing skill & communication competency increased, but their nursing administration competency decreased. 6) Finally, preceptorship's other effects were as follows: ① Checklists for preceptee education at the nursing unit were developed separately. ② It was proved that 'preceptor interview note' was effective on manage preceptorship. ③ We obtained duty orierlap periods, medical-surgical units-1 month. 5 ICU-2 months. operaction room-3 months ④ We prepared a preceptor program based on the study results.

제7차 중학교 국어 교과서에 반영된 교육 이념에 대한 연구 : 중학교 1학년 국어ㆍ생활국어 내용을 중심으로

이 논문에서는 제7차 국어과 중학교 1학년 교과서에 나타난 교육 이념에 대하여 살펴 보았다. 교육기본법과 제7차 교육과정, 그리고 초ㆍ중ㆍ고 1종도서 편찬 추진 계획을 중심으로 교육 이념 및 가치를 선정하고, 이것을 중심으로 중학교 1학년 교과서의 내용을 검토했다. 그 결과 중학교 1학년 국어과 교과서에는 여러 가지 내용 중에서 '인성 교육'과 관련된 내용의 글이 가장 많이 실려 있으며, 그 다음으로는 '자기 발견', '환경 교육', '민주 시민 교육', '민족 정체성 교육'의 순으로 관련된 글이 많은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 검토 과정을 거쳐 선정된 교육 이념 및 가치 중에서 '국어 문화'에 관한 내용 검증을 위해 교육과정의 목표와 교과서의 내용을 검토한 결과 몇몇 경우를 제외하고는 모두 충실하게 교과서에 반영되어 있는 것으로 나타났으며, '언어 사용 기능의 통합 활동'이라는 측면에서 보면 이번 국어과 교과서는 각 영역에 모두 1개 이상의 통합 단원이 있고, '문학'과 '국어지식' 영역도 '언어 사용 기능'영역과 통합된 단원이 있다. 다만 '읽기-쓰기', '쓰기-듣기'간의 통합 단원이 없는데 특히 '읽기'와 다른 언어 기능 영역의 통합 단원이 없는 것은 교과서 편제의 특징에 그 원인이 있는 것으로 보인다.

통신서비스 시장획정의 해외사례와 융합추세에 따른 주요 이슈 : Cases and Issues

최근 들어 유무선 통합 서비스 등 다양한 융합 서비스가 등장함에 따라 서비스간 경계가 모호해지고 있어 전통적인 시장분류 방신의 변화가 요구되고 있다. 본 논문은 해외 규제기판에서 채택하고 있는 시장회정의 방법론과 실제 회정 사례를 살펴보고 국내 시사점온 제시한다. 시장획정 방법론은 비판적 국가간 차이 없이 잘 수립되어 있어 원칙적으로 국내 도입에 큰 어려움이 없을 것으로 보이나 다양한 정량적, 정성적 지표에 대한 종합적 판단이 필요하고 새로운 융합형 서비스도입을 반영하는 실증적 방법론의 개발이 필요하므로 정책당국의 전문적 판단력 강화와 정책결정 과정의 공개화가 중요한 과제가 될 것이다. As a series of new services emerge recently as part of the convergence/integration phenomena, the traditional way of defining market boundaries in a mechanical manner needs to be changed. This paper reviews the methods of economic analysis for market definition adopted by the foreign regulatory authorities and its applications to telecommunications regulation. We find that the methods are well established without much difference among the regulatory authorities, thus implying little difficulty ahead in institutionalizing the market definition framework in Korea. But we also find that the telecommunications regulator of Korea needs to have more capability to make correct decisions out of a huge set of quantitative and qualitative data, particularly taking account of the impact of newly emerging services. Making a formal process of hearing public comments is deemed crucial as well.

담낭 방선균증 1예

저자들은 우상복부 통증과 소화불량을 주소로 내원한 83세 여자 환자에서 국내 최초로 담낭 방선균증을 진단하고 치료 관찰 중으로 이에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Actinomycosis is a chronic suppurative and granulomatous disease, characterized by abscess formation, tissue fibrosis, and draining sinuses. Actinomycosis of the gallbladder is very rare and has not yet been reported in Korea. We report a case of actinomycosis of the gallbladder in an 80-year-old women with history of cholelithiasis for 3 years, preoperatively misidentified as gallbladder cancer. Histologic section of the gallbladder showed Gram-positive branching bacilli compatible with actinomyces. After cholecystectomy, the patient received intravenous ampicillin for 4 days, followed by amoxicillin for 4 months thereafter.

한·일 초등학교 과학 교과서 삽화 비교 연구

This study was intended to survey and analyze the illustrations of the elementary science textbooks in the 7th revised education curriculum in Korea, and to compare the results with the illustration organization of the elementary science textbooks of Japan. The analysis criterion was composed of two categories, the kind of illustration and the role of illustration. The kind of illustration was divided into five subcategories such as photograph, picture, illustration, cartoon and diagram. The role of illustration was divided into four subcategories such as motive induction, guidance for learning, the supply of material, the presentation of results. According to the analyzing criterion, the frequencies of relevant subcategories of illustrations in science textbooks were checked and arranged and the resultant data were analyzed by grades. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. Korean science textbooks have about 3.29 illustrations per page whereas Japanese ones have 4.11. Compared with Korean science textbooks, Japanese ones have more illustrations. 2. From the analysis of the kinds of the illustrations by grade basis, it was found that the order of percentage of illustrations is photograph, cartoon and picture in both countrys' science textbooks. Korean ones are highly dependent on photograph. As a contrast Japanese ones have more ratio of cartoon and picture than Korean science textbooks. 3. The analysis of the roles of the illustrations by grade basis showed that the role of guidance for learning is major in both countrys' science textbooks. The role of guidance for learning is prominent in Japanese ones, but in Korean ones, the role of guidance for learning is a little higher than that of the supply of material.
