Corrosive Esophagitis with Benzalkonium Chloride in a Two Days Old Neonate
Hasret Ayyildiz Civan,Didem Gulcu,Tulay Erkan 대한소아소화기영양학회 2016 Pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology & nutrition Vol.19 No.3
Benzalkonium chloride (BAC) is a caustic agent which is used in farms, homes and hospitals for cleaning skin and wounds as an antiseptic solution. It may lead to digestive system injuries in case of ingestion. We present a two-days-old newborn case which was carried to the emergency unit with complaints of poor breastfeeding, uneasi-ness and crying for 4-6 hours. Her mom confessed that she had given a spoon of 10% BAC solution for her cough. Initial laboratory tests were in normal ranges. A gastroscopy performed in the second hour of her admission revealed an hyperemic and edematous mucosa in the middle third of esophagus and a circumferential ulceration followed in the distal portion. Hereupon, a conservative treatment for 10 days was administered and the control gastroscopy demonstrated that the damage was almost totally improved. She was the youngest case with this etiology and suc-cessfully treated with conservative approach.
Baysal, Hasret Yalcinoz,Polat, Hatice Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.10
Objective: This research was conducted to determine the breast cancer risk levels of women with and without previous mammography and their beliefs on breast cancer and mammography. Methods: The sample for this descriptive research consisted of women aged 50 years or older who were registered at the Family Health Center in the city center of Erzurum. The research was conducted with a total of 420 women with at least one mammography (210) and without mammography (210) who presented to the center on Wednesdays and Thursdays for any reason between 1 January 2010 and 1 January 2011. Research data were collected using the personal information "Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Form" accepted and recommended by the Turkish Ministry of Health, and the Champion's Health Belief Model Scale for Breast Cancer and Screening (CHBMS). Data were evaluated using percentages and means with the t-test. Results: According to the research data, 89.8% of the women were found to be in the low risk group, 87.6% with and 91.9% without mammography. When the health beliefs of women with and without mammography were compared, it was found that susceptibility, seriouness, motivation, mammography benefit scores were higher among those with mammography (p<0.01). The mammography barrier score average was higher in the group without mammography (p<0.01). Conclusion: Knowing women's health beliefs, which have positive and negative effects on participating in mammography screening, may increase the rate of mammography uptake among women. Moreover, women with high breast cancer risk may be determined by increasing society's level of knowledge on breast cancer and risk factors.

ORTHOGONAL GENERALIZED (${\sigma},\;{\tau}$)-DERIVATIONS OF SEMIPRIME $\Gamma$-RINGS
Yazarli, Hasret,Oznur, Golbasi The Youngnam Mathematical Society Korea 2007 East Asian mathematical journal Vol.23 No.2
The purpose of this paper is to show some results of M. Bresar and J. Vukman concerning orthogonal derivations of semiprime rings in [3] for (${\sigma},\;{\tau}$)-derivations and generalized (${\sigma},\;{\tau}$)-derivations in $\Gamma$-rings.
Antinociceptive Effect of Chlorogenic Acid in Rats with Painful Diabetic Neuropathy
Deniz Bagdas,Hasret Yucel Ozboluk,Nilufer Cinkilic,Mine Sibel Gurun 한국식품영양과학회 2014 Journal of medicinal food Vol.17 No.6
The present study aimed to evaluate possible antinociceptive effects of chlorogenic acid in streptozotocininduced diabetic neuropathic pain in rats. Chlorogenic acid (100 mg/kg) was administered daily for 14 days. Our study showed for the first time that both single and chronic chlorogenic acid treatments produced significant antinociceptive effects in diabetic rats. In contrast, single dose of chlorogenic acid showed no signs of an antinociceptive effect, but chronic treatment exerted antinociceptive potential in nondiabetic rats. Additionally, chronic treatment effectively reduced hyperglycemia that induced by diabetes. In conclusion, chlorogenic acid has beneficial effects for the management of diabetic neuropathic pain.
