      • Interferon-gamma Release Assays and Severity of Coronavirus Disease 2019: An Evidence Based Critical Appraisal

( Hasanah Hasanah ),( Aryo Cahyo Byantoro ),( Jamal Zaini ) 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 2021 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 추계학술대회 초록집 Vol.129 No.-

Background World has been affected by Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) yet caused morbidities and mortalities. In addition, Indonesia as one of the eight high tuberculosis (TB) burden countries will potentially face double pandemics. Various Methods have been made to diminish TB, such as screening with interferon-gamma release assays (IGRA). IGRA is produced by T lymphocytes which is crucial in COVID-19 patients. The study aims to determine the relationship between IGRA and the severity of COVID-19 patients. Methods Manual searching and electronic database (Pubmed, Scopus, Cochrane Library, EBSCOhost, and medRxiv) in July 2021 which include publications in December 2020 - July 2021. Evaluation using Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) tools, Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, University of Oxford. Results Two published journals were accepted based on screening. According to Torre et al, more than half of COVID-19 patients with severe symptoms showed negative IGRA followed by indeterminate IGRA (122/335; 36,4%), and only a few were positive (5,7%). Most of the indeterminate IGRAs were found in patients with lymphocytopenia (52,3%; p<0.001). Moreover, COVID-19 patients who died had negative (50%) and indeterminate (50%) IGRAs (p=0.038). In contrast, according to Singh et al the prevalence of latent TB infection was negatively correlated with the number of cases (r(20): -0,6194; p-value: 0,0036) and COVID-19 deaths (r(20): -0.3088; p-value: 0,1853). Conclusions IGRA has a role as a prognostic marker of COVID-19.

Psychoneuroimmunological Markers of Psychological Intervention in Pediatric Cancer: A Systematic Review and New Integrative Model

        Hasanah Idyatul,Nursalam Nursalam,Krisnana Ilya,Wawan F. Ramdani,Haikal Zikrul,Rohita Tita 한국간호과학회 2023 Asian Nursing Research Vol.17 No.3

Purpose Pediatric cancer is a serious problem and still becomes a global challenge today. Various complex stressors due to diagnosis, disease symptoms, and various side-effects from the treatment that children with cancer undergo will cause problems in the child's psychoneuroimmunological aspects. Psychological interventions designed to modulate the stress response include psychoneuroimmunological markers. Unfortunately, there is little evidence to support the effect of psychological interventions on psychoneuroimmunological markers. This systematic review aims to assess the effectiveness of psychological interventions on psychoneuroimmunological markers in children with cancer and to provide a new integrative model for further research. Methods This systematic review uses four main databases (Scopus, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and ProQuest). The guideline used Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). Selecting articles used the Rayyan application. The quality study was conducted using Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI)'s critical appraisal tools. The data were analyzed using the population, intervention, comparison, outcome, and study design (PICO) Synthesis based on similarities and differences in study characteristics to interpret the results. Results The search results in this systematic review found 1653 articles, 21 of which matched the predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Most of the designs used were randomized controlled trials (57.1%). Massage therapy was the most common type of psychological intervention (14.2%). Almost half of the studies measured psychological responses (38.0%), and psycho-physiological responses (42.9%), and only a small proportion assessed the effectiveness of psychological interventions on neuroimmunological markers in pediatric cancer. Conclusions We recommend the use of psychological interventions as an additional intervention in managing psychoneuroimmunological markers of pediatric cancer. This study offers a new integrative model demonstrating the interaction between stress and psychological intervention involving neuroendocrine and immune mechanisms. However, future researchers need to test all domains of these new integrative models. This will reveal the complex interactions among these components and understand their relevance to health outcomes.

      • Elevated Procalcitonin Levels as a Predictor of Mortality in COVID-19 Patients: A Systematic Review

( Hafiz Hari Nugraha ),( Hasanah Hasanah ),( Erlang Samoedro ) 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 2021 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 추계학술대회 초록집 Vol.129 No.-

Background Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that has spread throughout the world and caused the deaths of nearly 4 million people since it was first discovered and still increasing. Multiple biomarkers related to the severity and mortality of COVID-19 patients have been studied, one of which is procalcitonin (PCT). The PCT is elevated in infection, especially bacterial infection. Elevated PCT can be an early marker of sepsis and indicator of mortality. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between elevated procalcitonin levels and mortality of hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Methods A literature search was carried out on 3 electronic databases, which were Pubmed, SCOPUS, and Cochrane, using the appropriate keywords and boolean operators until April 4, 2021. Data was analyzed according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria and evaluated with Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) tools from University of Oxford. Results From the search Results, 5 articles were included in the study. According to Bahl et al, the Results obtained showed elevated procalcitonin levels increased the risk of mortality compared to normal levels or low procalcitonin in hospitalized COVID-19 patients with an adjusted hazard ratio (aHR) 2.14; 95 % CI (1.37-3.36). In addition, from the 5 articles obtained, the study resulted in pooled odd ratio 3.34; 95 % CI (1.546-7.214) with p value = 0.002. Conclusions Elevated procalcitonin levels can be a predictor of mortality in COVID-19 patients, hence early identifivation is expected to provide a better prognosis.

Modeling of Armchair Graphene Nanoribbon Tunnel Field Effect Transistors for Low Power Applications

        E. Suhendi(Endi Suhendi),L. Hasanah(Lilik Hasanah),F. A. Noor(Fatimah Arofiati Noor),N. Kurniasih(Neny Kurniasih),Khairurrijal 대한전자공학회 2019 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.19 No.4

Characteristics of an armchair graphene nanoribbon tunnel field effect transistor (AGNRTFET) were modeled quantum mechanically. The transport equation in the AGNR-TFET was solved by using the Dirac-like equation. The potential profile in the AGNR-TFET was determined by solving the Dirac-like equation and the self-consistent Poisson equation. The transfer matrix method (TMM), as a numerical approach, and the Landauer formula were used to calculate the electron transmittance and the tunneling current respectively. The threshold voltage of the device was around 0.01 V. The effect of the AGNR-TFET’s geometry, i.e. width and length of AGNR and oxide thickness, on the tunneling current and the subthreshold swing was also analyzed. It was found that the tunneling current increased with an increase of the width of the AGNR and the oxide thickness while increasing the length of the AGNR made the tunneling current decrease. According to the simulation results, the subthreshold swing of the device can achieve 5 mV/dec. Moreover, the AGNRTFET geometry affects the subthreshold swing of the device.

The Sensitivity of the Indonesian Islamic Stock Prices to Macroeconomic Variables: An Asymmetric Approach

WIDARJONO, Agus,SHIDIQIE, Jannahar Saddam Ash,El HASANAH, Lak Lak Nazhat Korea Distribution Science Association 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.3

This paper empirically examines the asymmetric response of the Indonesian Islamic stock market to macroeconomic variables encompassing money supply, domestic output, exchange rate, and Federal Reserve rate. Our study employs the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) after the financial crisis in the Southeast Asian country using monthly data from January 2000 to December 2019. Non-linear Autoregressive Distributed lag (NARDL) is applied. Our study considers two models consisting of the model without the Federal Reserve rate and the model with it. Our findings confirm the long-run link between Jakarta Islamic Index and macroeconomic factors being studied. Furthermore, the Jakarta Islamic Index asymmetrically responds to broad money supply and exchange rate, but not to domestic output and Federal Reserve rate. A reduction in the money supply has a worse effect on Islamic stock prices as compared to an increase in the money supply. The Jakarta Islamic Index responds differently to depreciation and appreciation. The transmission of the exchange rate to Islamic stock prices occurs only for appreciation. Our study finds an absence of transmission mechanism from the domestic output and the interest rate to Islamic stock prices. Our results imply that the easy money policy and stabilizing currency are key to supporting Indonesian Islamic stock prices.
