This study developed a theoretical framework in which overall image, image congruence, and quality of physical environment, service, and food affect guests' satisfaction and intentions to revisit a luxury hotel restaurant and visit other restaurants of the same hotel by considering the influence of conspicuousness as a moderator. The measurement model assessment revealed that all items included an acceptable level of measurement quality. Results of the structural analysis indicated that the research variables were in general significantly associated; quality dimensions and satisfaction had a mediating role; and the impact of satisfaction and overall image on decision formation was greater than that of other variables. Moreover, the structural invariance model assessment indicated that conspicuousness acted as a significant moderator. Overall, our proposed theoretical framework was found to include a sufficient power in predicting patrons' intentions for luxury hotel restaurant products. Using this quantitative approach, our research objectives were wholly achieved.

Despite the international healthcare industry's rapid growth, little research exists about medical hotels. To fill this gap, this study identifies international patients' possible outcomes of staying in a medical hotel and investigates their intention formation by considering attitudes and desires as well as the perceived outcome's moderating impact. A qualitative approach identifies the possible outcomes of staying in a medical hotel, which can be distinctive from common medical/healthcare clinics, as perceived by international medical customers. Confirmatory factor analysis verifies a four-factor structure of the perceived outcome model (financial saving, convenience, medical service, and hospitality product). Structural equation modeling reveals that attitudes, desires, and intention significantly associate, and desires act as a mediator. Additionally, a metric invariance test shows that convenience, medical-service, and hospitality-product factors of the perceived outcomes significantly moderate forming intentions. Study results help medical hotel operators create effective strategies to attract more international tourists.
An efficient skyline framework for matchmaking applications
Han, H.,Jung, H.,Eom, H.,Yeom, H.Y. Academic Press 2011 JOURNAL OF NETWORK AND COMPUTER APPLICATIONS - Vol.34 No.1
In this article, we present a skyline-based matchmaking framework. The current method of carrying out the matchmaking procedure identifies items based on users' specifications. We rethink matchmaking procedures in such a way that they can find items that can satisfy a specific computing demand from a user and recommend a collection of better candidates among the identified items. This endows a user with the right of choice on deciding the best-possible items. We approach the recommendation from the perspective of skyline computation and present an efficient skyline algorithm that gathers interesting item candidates efficiently. To devise an efficient sequential skyline algorithm, we adopt (i) lattice-based indexing using a lattice composition technique and (ii) an optimized dominance-check algorithm. Moreover, we parallelize the algorithm using breadth-first-search (BFS). Our extensive experimental results show that our algorithm outperforms current state-of-the-art algorithms, and the speedup factor of the parallelized algorithm is near-linear.

CoxMn3-xO4 (CMO) nanopowders with a wide compositional range (0.9@?x@?2.7) are synthesized using a gel combustion method. The effect of Co content and calcination temperature on the crystal structure of the CMO nanopowders is studied using X-ray diffraction. A highly crystalline cubic spinel structure can be obtained at a relatively low temperature (~700oC) for CMO with a Co content of 1.8. Further increases in Co content to 2.7 leads to a higher formation temperature (~800oC) required in order to form a crystalline cubic structure. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed that the Co and Mn cations have mixed valence states. Energy dispersive X-ray elemental mapping indicates that Co and Mn cations are homogeneously distributed in the CMO nanopowders. Thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared, scanning electron microscopy, and X-ray fluorescence are utilized to investigate the formation of the CMO nanopowders, as well as the compositional and structural properties.
Pricing chained dynamic fund protection
Han, H.,Jeon, J.,Kang, M. JAI Press for the North American Economics and Fin 2016 NORTH AMERICAN JOURNAL OF ECONOMICS AND FINANCE Vol.37 No.-
In this paper, we propose a new kind of dynamic fund protection (DFP). In contrast to the usual DFP, our newly developed DFP has two protection levels and protection is activated only when the value of underlying asset reaches upper protection levels. This kind of product has a structure similar to that of the chained barrier option proposed by Jun and Ku (2012). In this context, we name our newly designed equity-linked product as chained dynamic fund protection (CDFP). Buying CDFP can be advantageous for both vendors and investors compared to buy usual DFP. Relatively small downside risk for CDFP is beneficial for vendors. Also for investors, the price they cost for protection of CDFP is cheaper than that of usual DFP. Furthermore, investors can handle the price of protection by adjusting the level of upper protection as they desired. In this paper, we derive a closed-form formula for CDFP using reflection principle under Black-Scholes framework. Furthermore, we represent numerical results for values of CDFP according to various parameters.
