      • Application of CCD Camera for Optical data Acquisition ; Dynamic LEED and RHEED

        CCD 카메라와 Frame Grabber를 이용하여 광학적 영상을 전기적 신호로 바꾸어 LEED 패턴을 분석하는 장치와 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이 장치는 적은 비용으로 마련할 수 있기 때문에 광범위한 분야의 연구자들에게 편리한 도구로 사용할 것이 기대된다. RHEED에의 응용 프로그램은 밝은 점(spot)이 고정되어 있으므로 더욱 간편해 진다. I/V 곡선에 대한 이론값과 실험값 사이의 비교분석은 진행 중에 있다.

      • 근치적 위절제술을 시행한 위암 환자에서 보조요법으로서 5-Fluorouracil, Epirubicin과 5-Epirubicil,Cisplatin의 복합화학요법의 효과 비교

        To compare 5-fluorouracil plus epirubicin (FE) to 5-fluorouracil plus cisplatin (FP) chemotherapy as adjuvant therapy for patients with resected gastric cancer. Between August 1995 and March 2000, 46 patients with completely resected gastric cancer received six courses of FE (5-fluorouracil 1000mg/m2/day, D2-D5, epirubicin 70mg/m2, D1) or FP (5-fluorouracil 1000mg/m2/day, D2-D5, cisplatin 70mg/m2, D1) chemotherapy. The 23 patients were assigned to each treatment group. A total of 127 courses of treatment were given both FE and FP group. The FP group tended to show more risk of overall death rate. But there were no differences between FE and FP groups in terms of overall survival or disease-free survival. Both treatment arms were generally well tolerated to chemotherapy. We concluded to be no significant differences between FE and FP groups in terms of overall survival or disease-free survival. To define the efficacy of adjuvant chemotherapy for gastric adenocarcinoma, further prospective randomized trials with large number of patients should be warranted.

        Paper and pulps industry is improving with development of paper and publication culture, also disposal of paper sludge and flyash has induced significant factor of development in the paper industry because of shortage in disposal area and inhabitant demonstration. There fore this studies persuit fundamentle database of flyash specification in the physical and chemical analysis for recycling architectural materials, etc. 1. This study investigates production of papersludge and flyash chemicalcomposition, physical and chemical specification ( ignition loss, specific weight, sintering temperture. And density etc.) 2. Especially focuses in the characteristics of the sintering treatment and sintering temperature of flyash. 3. Accomplishes in cut of cost through save energy & reuse of waste materials. Environmentally conservation of our nature has to be carried by ourselves.

      • LEED를 이용한 Co/Cu(001) 초박막의 구조 연구

        We studied the growth mode and stoichiometry of ultrathin Co film on Cu(001) single crystal surface by Auger electron spectroscopy and dynamin LEED analysis. I/V characteristics of LEED spot of ultrathin Co/Cu(001) system were obtained by video LEED system and analized by tensor LEED program and applied ATA (average t-matrix approximation). The structure and compositional variation as a function of temperature were traced. We found that a significant amount of Cu atom was segregated from the substrate to the surface of the Co film at room temperature.

      • 주사 투과 현미경 제작

        We developed scanning tunneling microscope(STM) which could operate in ultrahigh vaccum as well as in air pressure, over wide range of temperatures extending from room temperature to liquid-nitrogen temperature(77K). Designed STM was consist of a compact and rigid enough head in order to reduce and damp the external vibration. Tube-shaped scanner, and the stick-slip walker were adopted to approach the tip to the sample surface. The STM was tested for scanning image of highly oriented pyrolytic graphite(HOPG) as a preliminary experiment in air.

      • 마이크로 컴퓨터를 利用한 資源共有시스템

        In this paper we design a resource sharing system which is an loosely coupled heterogeneous multicomputer system with radial bus configuration. It consists of one host processor and more than two terminal processors. The host processor allows the sharing of hardware resourceses, software and data bases among the terminal processors. This system is implemented with Cromenco microcomputer system.

      • 실과교육에서 환경 친화력 향상을 위한 교수 자료 개발에 관한 연구

        The purposes of this study were to investigate possibilities and objectives of environmental education, and to analyze the environmental content elements available in the 7th curriculum, and to suggest strategies for the development of teaching materials for the improvement of pro-environmental power in practical arts education. This study was carried out through review of literature and discussions with panels of judges composed of experts in the environment related fields. The results of this study were as follows; 1)It was identified that an environmental education through practical arts subject was very efficient because principles of environmental education coincided with characteristics of practical arts education which emphasizes on real life, direct experience, and inter-disciplinary approach. 2)It was identified that an environmental education in elementary school was reflected on different courses in a distributed way, contents related to the environmental education such as resources, environmental conservation, an environmental hygiene has been included in the practical arts subject from the 1th curriculum to the 7th curriculum of the elementary school. 3)It was identified that contents such as orientation of jobs related an environment, separate garbage collection, food hygiene, recycle of waste articles, environmental pollution, and an environmental conservation could be reflected in the 7th curriculum. 4)Proposed strategies for developing teaching materials related to the improvement of pro-environmental power in practicalarts education ware a consideration of environment education frame in entire school system, an emphasis of practical and experience, the maximum uses of concrete stimulus, the uses of various places and facilities, the active uses of web site through internet.

      • 피브린 파이버의 영률 측정

        Fibrin clots perform the mechanical task of creating blockage that stems blood flow in vivo. to understand the forces that contribute to clot strength and elasticity, we measured of fibrin fiber Young's modulus using a combined atomic force microscope(AFM) and optical microscope system. With this system, we are able to image fibrin fibers in aqueous conditions and monitor the deformation of the fiber while measuring the applied force simultaneously. Specifically, we have determined breaking strain and Young's modulus of fibrin fibers for across-linked versus uncross-linked fibrin. Normal recombinant fibrinogen was clotted by thrombin with/without Factor XIII. Recombinant fibrin fibrs were fluorescently labeled with quantum dots. We have observed breaking strains of 90% for uncross-linked fibers and 300% for crosse-linked fibers. We have also determined Young's modulus for cross- and uncross-linked fibers by 0.4 MPa and 2.7 MPa respectively. Thrombin polymerized fibrin fibers show largely elastic behavior.

      • Cu(001) 표면에 성장시킨 Ni 초박막의 구조 연구

        The growth of Ni deposited on Cu(001) surface at room temperature was studied by LEED(Low Energy Electron Diffraction) I/V analyses. For the Ni thin films of thickness from 1 ML(mono layer), the subsurface Ni layer below 1 ML Cu surface layer is found to be the optimum structure. This result is also consistent with the growth mode predicted by the first principles total energy calculation.
