Vegetable consumption is associated with health benefits. Recently, the interest in these food groups has grown among due to the identification of new compound in their chemical composition. Most of the vegetables are cooked by blanching, boiling, steaming, microwaving before consumed. These cooking processes may change not only food physical characteristics but also chemical composition. The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of different cooking methods on phytochemical content and antioxidant capacity in Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam stem. The result of study, Total polyphenol of phytochemical in Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam stem was 6.88-12.65 mg GAE/100 g and flavonoid was 3.16-10.46 mg CE/100 g. Compared with the raw of Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam stem, all cooking methods were found to significant correlations between the antioxidant activity assessed by ABTS, DPPH and polyphenol(p<0.05). These results can be provide the basic data how to prevent lose of nutrition in Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam stem when cooking.

Background: Filler injections are commonly used to soften deep nasolabial folds (NLF) by restoring volume in the depressed parts of fold. Recently, a combination technique using hyaluronic acid filler and polydioxanone (PDO) thread significantly improves deep NLF and induced changes in smile. Objective: This study retrospectively confirmed the effects of this combination therapy, focusing on smile changes. Methods: The NLF was divided into 3 parts: the lateral folded part (LFP), medial depressed part (MDP), and central creased part (CCP). Between November and December 2021, 14 patients underwent the combination treatment; of these, 11 were enrolled, excluding 3 who were not properly followed up. On average, 5.82±0.87 (right) and 5.73±0.47 (left) PDO mesh threads (6.0 cm length) were sequentially inserted into the LFP, MDP, and under the CCP of each NLF. Following this, an average of 1.82±0.71 ml (right) and 1.92±0.75 ml (left) of the filler was also sequentially injected into each NLF in a similar manner. They were mainly placed in the superficial and deep fat layers in the entire NLF and sub-malar areas. Smile index was measured during the fully expanded smile stage. The follow-up period was 3 months. The results were estimated using pre- and post-operative photographs. Results: Three months after the combination treatment, patients were pleased with the softening of their NLF. As indicated by the increased smile index (inter-commissural width/inter-labial gap), the old and expanded smile changed to younger and less expanded smile. The original smile type (eight and three patients with the commissure and cuspid types, respectively) remained unchanged. The contour changes in each smile varied according to the smile type. This could be explained by combination treatment’s NLF correction, which restricts facial expression muscle movement. Conclusion: These results demonstrate definite evidence of softening of the NLF, a youthful smile, and an increased smile index.

Madecassoside (MD) and rosmarinic acid (RA) are well-known compounds with wound healing and antiagingeffects. We demonstrated the synergistic protective activity of the MD–RA combination in Hs68 cells against ultraviolet B(UVB)-induced photoaging. The cell viabilities of MD, RA, and MD–RA combinations at various ratios (9:1, 8:2, 7:3, 6:4,5:5, 4:6, 3:7, 2:8, and 1:9, v/v) were measured to compare their protective effects against UVB radiation. The synergisticinteraction between MD and RA was confirmed using a combination index. The strongest effect of the MD–RA combinationwas observed at a ratio of 3:7. The combination of MD–RA 3:7 exerted a synergistic effect against UVB-induced changes incell viability, as well as superoxide dismutase activity, reactive oxygen species, glutathione, catalase activity, and malondialdehydelevels. Moreover, the inhibitory effect of the MD–RA combination (3:7) on matrix metalloproteinases and totalcollagen production was higher than that of MD or RA alone. These results demonstrated that the MD–RA combination (3:7)generated a strong synergistic effect against UVB-induced photoaging in Hs68 cells. Overall, our results provide scientificevidence to support the development of a new combination therapy for skin protection against UVB-induced photoagingthrough the synergistic interaction between MD and RA. These natural compounds are promising options for antiaging andskin protection in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.

For some student’s mathematics is a fun lesson, some other students think if math is a less fun lesson. A class usually consists of students with heterogeneous ability, some students with more or less ability but the teaching services provided by teachers are more homogeneous. This can cause problems if students who have barriers in learning do not get educational services that match their learning needs. This study aims to formulate a learning program that can be applied by teachers to students with heterogeneous ability but more priority on students whose ability to understand lessons slower than their classmates. The method used in this study is a mixed method with exploratory sequential design, the result there are three students who have difficulty in following the learning of mathematics. The alignment program is organized by involving peers as a tutor for the three students. Based on the results of the study seen some students have increased understanding of the material delivered. Thus, applying peer tutors to students with math difficulty can help improve students' understanding.

For preparing a device-quality CuInSe2 (CISe) light-absorbing layer by single-bath electrodeposition for a superstrate-type CISe cell, morphological properties of the CISe layers were investigated by varying concentrations of sulfamic acid and potassium biphthalate, complexing/buffering agents. CISe films were grown on an In2Se3 film by applying a constant voltage of -0.5V versus Ag/AgCl for 90 min in a solution with precursors of CuCl2, InCl3, and SeO2, and a KCl electrolyte. A dense and smooth layer of CISe could be obtained with a solution containing both sulfamic acid and potassium biphthalate in a narrow concentration range of combination. A CISe layer prepared on the In2Se3 film with proper concentrations of complexing/buffering agents exhibited thickness of 1.6~1.8 μm with few undesirable secondary phases. On the other hand, when the bath solution did not contain either sulfamic acid or potassium biphthalate, a CISe film appeared to contain undesirable flake?shape Cu2-xSe phases or sparse pores in the upper part of film.
