        汉语的外來洞与韩汉洞汇小考

        중국어에는 다양한 지역에서 유입된 외래어가 이제는 중국어와 함께 많이 사용되어지고 있다. 고래로 부터 유입된 외래어는 주변국 뿐 아니라 먼 서양의 언어까지 다양하게 포함하고 있어 이것은 지금까지 이루어지고 있는 문화교류의 산물이라고 할 수 있다. 다민족 국가인 중국과 단일민족의 한국은 서로 다른 교류를 통해 그들의 문화를 이루어 왔다. 이런 문화를 유지 발전시키고 있는 요인 가운데 하나가 어휘인데, 양 국가 간의 어휘를 통해 지금 사용하고 있는 어휘가 과연 어디에서 온 것인지를 살펴본다. 동양문화가 이루어 온 융합성 즉 동양문화는 같은 문화권을 형성하고 있으면서 다원적인 관계를 통해 융합하고 있는 것을 볼 수 있다. 문화의 중요매체인 언어는 물질문화의 성과를 보여주었고 제도와 사상문화를 이루게 하였다. 언어는 문화의 매개물인 메신저 역할을 톡톡히 한다. 때문에 특수한 ‘코드능력’을 가지고 있다. 이런 코드 능력은 사물의 지칭과 사물의 진술을 나타나게 하였고 사람의 감정태도의 표현을 나타나게 하였다. 중국어에는 문화교류의 각도에서 볼 수 있는 많은 외래어가 생겨났다. 그중에는 외부와의 교류가 빈번해지면서 다양한 외래어가 나타났는데 이중에는 한국어 어휘의 사용은 특이할 만 하다. 특히 20세기에 들어서 많은 한국인들의 이동으로 중국에서도 한국어 외래어를 사용하고 있다. 그것은 그 음을 그대로 전달하고 있는 것에서부터 한자음을 전달하는 것 등의 다양한 어휘가 있다. 반대로 한국에서 사용하고 있는 중국어는 예로부터 교류로 인해 그 영향이 많은 바 한국어휘의 대다수인 한자어를 통해 그 언어성분으로 한국어와 비교해 본다. 중국어에서의 한국어와 한국어에서의 중국어의 연구는 문화언어교류의 언어비교연구를 넘어서 비교언어학의 방법을 통해 연구해야 할 것이다. 지금까지 한중양국의 학자들은 이 문제에 대해 연구가 부족했기에 앞으로 이것을 기점으로 다양한 관점에서의 분석과 토론이 이루어지리라 여긴다. Korea and China, Both countries differ from the kind of their national races, one has composed of one racial group, another has composed of many multiracial groups. Their cultures have been well developed in their own ways. When being considered in one of the driving forces of their growth, it would be found in the fact that they have been using their own languages with many vocabularies. This paper focuses on the commonness and diversity in their vocabularies in order better to understand their cultures. The eastern cultures in both Korea and China have drawn the same cultual boundary that made their cultures constituted the harmonious union for a long time. The cultural interchange between two nations was very activated so that it could be deeply related and communicated in various directions. The Language as an expression of human being is one of the medium of communication with different cultures. Language also has shown the consequence of material civilization and pushed forward the advance in cultures. Language playes an important role in a medium to have the communication among the diversities. It has the great capability to be appeared in accordance among people's different minds and opinions. It is called 'Code ability' that makes it possible to have the generalization driven from the particularity. The Code ability accompanied with language could designate things, objectify the phenomenon around the world, and express in human's feeling and mind. Chinese language happened the form of words from foreign languages through the process in cultural exchange. The use of Korean in modern china has peculiar characteristics in the vocabularies due to an inflow of Korean people in the 20th century. There are the variety from the pronunciation to the expression in Chinese characters. Korean language in the other side had been influenced by Chinese because of the exchange in several sides during the long term of the relationship. This paper aims at the comparison between two languages in an approach from the angle of vision with the analysis of components in vocabulary. The study on the vocabulary in Korean and Chinese should be done by the method of comparative philology. So far, the linguists in both countries has neglected the problem on this. Therefore, the study has to make the progress in the various ways of the dispute and analysis with comparative philology.

        The effect of diabetes and prediabetes on the prevalence, complications and mortality in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease

        Background/Aims: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is closely associated with diabetes. The cumulative impact of both diseases synergistically increases risk of adverse events. However, present population analysis is predominantly conducted with reference to non-NAFLD individuals and has not yet examined the impact of prediabetes. Hence, we sought to conduct a retrospective analysis on the impact of diabetic status in NAFLD patients, referencing non-diabetic NAFLD individuals. Methods: Data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 1999–2018 was used. Hepatic steatosis was defined with United States Fatty Liver Index (US-FLI) and FLI at a cut-off of 30 and 60 respectively, in absence of substantial alcohol use. A multivariate generalized linear model was used for risk ratios of binary outcomes while survival analysis was conducted with Cox regression and Fine Gray model for competing risk. Results: Of 32,234 patients, 28.92% were identified to have NAFLD. 36.04%, 38.32% and 25.63% were non-diabetic, prediabetic and diabetic respectively. Diabetic NAFLD significantly increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), stroke, chronic kidney disease, all-cause and CVD mortality compared to non-diabetic NAFLD. However, prediabetic NAFLD only significantly increased the risk of CVD and did not result in a higher risk of mortality. Conclusions: Given the increased risk of adverse outcomes, this study highlights the importance of regular diabetes screening in NAFLD and adoption of prompt lifestyle modifications to reduce disease progression. Facing high cardiovascular burden, prediabetic and diabetic NAFLD individuals can benefit from early cardiovascular referrals to reduce risk of CVD events and mortality.

      • Visual Servoing and Compliant Motion Control of a Continuum Robot

        This paper presents a visual servoing and compliant motion control design of a continuum robot. Two endoscopic cameras were installed at the tip of the continuum robot to build a stereo camera system. The depth information is obtained by using semi-global block-matching (SGBM) algorithm. The visual servoing system proposed in this work includes the feature point extraction by using speeded-up robust features (SURF), followed by feature-point matching using nearest neighbor distance ratio (NNDR), and tracking of feature points by using mean shift algorithm. Through the pressure sensor installed around the circumference of the continuum robot, a compliant motion control design is proposed to make the robot to move in a constrained environment while executing the visual servoing task. Practical experiments show that the proposed method can effectively track a target and generate the adaptive motion when the robot encounters an obstacle during visual servoing.

        Intravenous Immunoglobulin to Suppress Progression in a Patient With Advanced Breast Cancer

        Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) is used to treat various diseases and has anticancer effects that suppress metastases in animal models of sarcoma and melanoma. However, these effects have been observed in a limited number of clinical cases. We report the case of a patient with metastatic breast cancer in which long-term IVIG treatment stopped disease progression in the absence of salvage chemotherapy. The patient was treated with IVIG for the treatment of immune thrombocytopenia. Surprisingly, the lung and brain metastases were stabilized, and the patient achieved a progression-free interval of 29 months. More cases are needed to investigate and confirm the efficacy of IVIG in solid tumors in the future.

      • Seahorses of the <i>Hippocampuscoronatus</i> complex: taxonomic revision, and description of <i>Hippocampushaema</i> , a new species from Korea and Japan ( Teleostei , Syngnathidae )

        <P>Abstract</P><P>Morphological and molecular analyses were conducted on 182 specimens belonging to the <I>Hippocampuscoronatus</I> complex (<I>H.coronatus</I> sensu lato), collected in Korea and Japan 1933–2015, in order to clarify the taxonomic status of the species within this complex. Three species are recognized based on the shape of the coronet, the number of trunk rings (TrR) and tail rings (TaR), and presence or absence of a wing-tip spine (WS) at the dorsal fin base. <I>Hippocampuscoronatus</I> Temminck & Schlegel, 1850 (<I>H.coronatus</I> sensu stricto), is diagnosed by 10 TrR, 37–40 TaR, an extremely high coronet (55.7–79.0 % head length) with four tips on the corona flat (CoT), and one WS. <I>Hippocampussindonis</I> Jordan & Snyder, 1901 is diagnosed by 10 TrR, 35–38 TaR, a moderately high coronet (36.3–55.4 % HL) with five CoT, and no WS. A new species, <I>H.haema</I> is described on the basis of 140 specimens, characterized by 10 TrR, 35–38 TaR, a moderately high coronet (34.1–54.9 % head length) with four CoT, and two WS. <I>Hippocampushaema</I> is only known from the Korea Strait, western Kyushu, and East/Japan Sea. Recognition of the three species is supported by differences in mitochondrial DNA fragments (cytochrome <I>b</I>, 16S rRNA, and 12S rRNA).</P>

      • IMU-based Online Kinematic Model Parameter Estimation for Four-Wheeled Skid-Steering Mobile Robot Desired Motion Tracking on Different Terrains

        This work presents an online adaptive tracking control for a 4-wheel skid-steering mobile robot (SSMR). The objective is to develop an online kinematic model parameter estimation for an equivalent differential drive kinematic model, enabling motion control on the various terrains’ conditions. Combined with an equivalent differential drive kinematic model, the angular velocity of robot motion analyzed by the inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor is used as the observation quantity, and the steering efficiency parameters in the kinematic model are automatically adjusted by a proportional derivative (PD) controller to improve the desired motion tracking control performance for the robot in the face of different terrains. The execution of tracking control is achieved by the SSMR with torque-adjusted 4-wheel independent velocity control. The proposed strategy is validated experimentally, where the SSMR performs the desired motion tracking in 10 sets with four types of terrains with different levels of flatness. The results demonstrate the high otential in overground navigation settings, due to its fast adaptation and motion following capacity.

        Advanced Path-Migration Mechanism for Enhancing Signaling Efficiency in IP Multimedia Subsystem

        Since Internet Protocol (IP) is the most important protocol in Next Generation Networks (NGNs), 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) utilizes Session Initial Protocol (SIP) based on IP as the base protocol for negotiating sessions in IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). Different from traditional circuit-switched network, in IMS, the media traffic and signaling are delivered through IP transport. The media traffic may affect the signaling efficiency in core network, due to traffic collisions and best effort packets delivery. This paper proposes a novel path-migration mechanism for enhancing the traffic efficiency in integrated NGN-IMS. The simulation results show that the interference and traffic collision can be reduce by applying proposed path-migration mechanism and the signaling efficiency in core network can be improved with higher system capability and voice quality.

        Sialoglycoprotein from Gadous morhua eggs improve high bone turnover activity via down-regulating BMP-2/Smads and Wnt/b-catenin signal pathways

        The effect of sialoglycoprotein isolated from Gadous morhua eggs (Gm-SGP) on ovariectomized (OVX) induced osteoporosis, which is characterized by high bone turnover activity was investigated. Results revealed that Gm-SGP significantly increased bone mineral density, enhanced bone biomechanical properties and repaired the microstructure of the trabecular bone. Also, the treatment with Gm-SGP remarkably decreased biochemical marker contents or activities, such as serum BALP, PICP, BMP-2, TrACP, Cath-K, urine Ca and P, leading to the reduction in bone turnover. The elevation in the rate of bone formative process contributed in the increase of bone turnover. Both BMP-2/Smads and Wnt/b-catenin signaling pathways played an important role in osteogenesis. Gm-SGP suppressed the key factors expression in these two pathways such as BMP-2, Smad1, Smad4, Lrp-5b, Runx2, Osx, ALP, Col1, OCN and b-catenin. These findings might provide some theoretical basis for the application of Gm-SGP as a potential anti-osteoporotic drug or as functional food.
