        TGF-β1/IL-11/MEK/ERK signaling mediates senescence-associated pulmonary fibrosis in a stress-induced premature senescence model of Bmi-1 deficiency

        To study whether TGF-β1/IL-11/MEK/ERK (TIME) signaling mediates senescence-associated pulmonary fibrosis (SAPF) in Bmi-1-deficient (Bmi-1−/−) mice and determines the major downstream mediator of Bmi-1 and crosstalk between p16INK4a and reactive oxygen species that regulates SAPF, phenotypes were compared among 7-week-old p16INK4a and Bmi-1 double-knockout, N-acetylcysteine (NAC)-treated Bmi-1−/−, Bmi-1−/−, and wild-type mice. Pulmonary fibroblasts and alveolar type II epithelial (AT2) cells were used for experiments. Human pulmonary tissues were tested for type Ι collagen, α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), p16INK4a, p53, p21, and TIME signaling by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Our results demonstrated that Bmi-1 deficiency resulted in a shortened lifespan, ventilatory resistance, poor ventilatory compliance, and SAPF, including cell senescence, DNA damage, a senescence-associated secretory phenotype and collagen overdeposition that was mediated by the upregulation of TIME signaling. The signaling stimulated cell senescence, senescence-related secretion of TGF-β1 and IL-11 and production of collagen 1 by pulmonary fibroblasts and the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition of AT2 cells. These processes were inhibited by anti-IL-11 or the MEK inhibitor PD98059. NAC treatment prolonged the lifespan and ameliorated pulmonary dysfunction and SAPF by downregulating TIME signaling more than p16INK4a deletion by inhibiting oxidative stress and DNA damage and promoting ubiquitinproteasome degradation of p16INK4a and p53. Cytoplasmic p16INK4a accumulation upregulated MEK/ERK signaling by inhibiting the translocation of pERK1/2 (Thr202/Tyr204) from the cytoplasm to the nucleus in senescent fibroblasts. The accumulation of collagen 1 and α-SMA in human lungs accompanied by cell senescence may be mediated by TIME signaling. Thus, this signaling in aging fibroblasts or AT2 cells could be a therapeutic target for preventing SAPF.

      • Design of Digital Campus Office Automation System Based on Portlet and Workflow

        The digital campus information unified portal can provide the services not possessed by traditional campus network. Firstly, the portal technology and the relation with Portlet are analyzed for the secondary development of liferay technology; secondly, the digital campus portal system is realized according to the requirement analysis of the digital campus portal system and the system development principles as well as the system implementation characteristics. Unified portal system, SSO (Single Sing-on) unified identity authentication and campus workflow system are realized in this paper. Meanwhile, this design scheme can not only support the integration of data, contents and information, but also transfer the contents, application programs and services inherited thereby through the customizable portal channel, thus to reduce the operation cost of the campus information portal and improve the working efficiency of the users as well as play an important role in digital campus construction. This portal system design scheme has been applied in the digital campus system of Southwest Petroleum University, and is practicably proven to have certain feasibility and practicability.

        대상별 CSR 활동의 적합성과 진정성이 기업 평가에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 기존 기업 사회적 책임의 적합성 개념을 확장하고 기업 사회적 책임에 대한 소비자가 가진 주관적인 성향(bias)의 영향을 파악하기 위해 기업-사회적 책임 활동 간의 적합성 및 소비자-사회적 책임 활동 간의 적합성 이 진정성을 통해 기업 평가에 어떠한 차별적인 영향을 미치는지를 실증하는데 목적이 있다. 선행 연구에서 기업-사회적 책임 활동 간의 적합성 이 기업 평가에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 것을 많이 입증되었지만, 거의 모든 연구가 기업과 사회적 책임 활동 간의 관계에 국한되어 있으며, 소비자의 개인적 가치관, 특정 사회적 이슈 혹은 대상에 대한 인식 및 관여도 등을 포함한 주관적인 성향이 결국 기업 사회적 책임 활동에 영향을 미칠 수 있는지를 검토한 연구는 매우 드물다. 따라서, 본 연구는 ‘기업-CSR 활동 간의 적합성’ 및 ‘소비자-CSR 활동 간의 적합성’을 구분시켜 각 적합성이 진정성을 통해 기업 평가에 어떠한 차별적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는지를 파악하기 위해 실증 조사를 진행하였다. 연구 결과는 ‘기업-CSR 활동 간의 적합성’ 및 ‘소비자-CSR 활동 간의 적합성’이 모두 진정성을 통해 기업 평가에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만 적합성 유형에 따라 진정성에 미치는 영향 간에 유의적인 차이가 존재하는 것으로 확인되었다. 즉, ‘기업-CSR 활동 간의 적합성’에 비해 ‘소비자-CSR 활동 간의 적합성’이 진정성에 대한 소비자의 지각에 더 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 소비자가 가진 주관적 성향이 기업 사회적 책임 활동에 중요한 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 사실을 확인되었다. To expand the existing concept of fitness, identifying the impact of consumers subjective bias to corporate social responsibility, this study demonstrated how the fitness between corporate-social responsibility activities and consumer-social responsibility activities have a discriminatory effect on the corporate evaluation through sincerity. Although much has been demonstrated in previous studies that the ‘fitness between corporate-social responsibility activities can have a positive impact on corporate evaluation, almost all studies are limited to the relationship between corporate and social responsibility activities. very few studies have examined whether consumers subjective bias, including consumers personal values, perceptions and involvement in specific social issues or targets, can eventually affect corporate social responsibility activities. Therefore, this study conducted a survey by manipulating virtual scenarios to distinguish the fitness between ‘corporate-CSR activities’ and between ‘consumer-CSR activities’ to determine how each fitness could have a discriminatory effect on corporate evaluation through sincerity. According to the result of analysis, both of the fitness between ‘corporate-CSR activities’ and ‘consumer-CSR activities’ have a significant effect on the corporate evaluation through sincerity, but significant differences exist between the effects on sincerity depending on the type of fitness. In other words, it was confirmed that the ‘fitness between consumer-CSR activities could have a greater impact on consumers perception of sincerity than the ‘fitness between corporate-CSR activities , and that the consumers subjective bias actually can significantly affect the corporate social responsibility activities.

        Terahertz Spectral Characteristics of Electrolyte Solutions under Different Magnetic Fields

        Microfluidic chips are new devices that can manipulate liquids at the micrometer level, and terahertz (THz) time-domain spectroscopy has good applicability in biochemical detection. The combination of these two technologies can shorten the distance between sample and THz wave, reduce THz wave absorption by water, and more effectively analyze the kinetics of biochemical reactions in aqueous solutions. This study investigates the effects of different external magnetic field intensities on the THz transmission characteristics of deionized water, CuSO 4 , CuCl 2 , (CH 3 COO) 2 Cu, Na 2 SO 4 , NaCl, and CH 3 COONa; the THz spectral intensity of the sample solutions decrease with increasing intensity of the applied magnetic field. Analysis shows that the magnetic field leads to a change in the dipole moment of water molecules in water and electrolyte solutions, which enhances not only the hydrogen-bond networking ability of water but also the hydration around ions in electrolyte solutions, increasing the number of hydrogen bonds. Increasing the intensity of this magnetic field further promotes the hydrogen-bond association between water molecules, weakening the THz transmission intensity of the solution.

        Weak and strong convergence theorems for an asymptotically k-strict pseudo-contraction and a mixed equilibrium problem

        We introduce two iterative algorithms for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of an asymptotically k-strict pseudo-contraction and the set of solutions of a mixed equilibrium problem in a Hilbert space. We obtain some weak and strong convergence theorems by using the proposed iterative algorithms. Our results extend and improve the corresponding results of Tada and Takahashi [16] and Kim and Xu [8,9].
