A series of functionalized furans were synthesized by way of a palladium -catalyzed coupling reaction of 2,3,5- trisubstituted furans with aryl chlorides through C-H bond cleavages at C-4 position. The feature of the reaction was facilitative preparation of furan derivatives with good functional group tolerance. All reactions gave the desired products in moderate to good yields in the presences of BuAd2P and t-BuOK in DMF at 120 oC after 15 h.

Software services distributed in open wireless environments are implemented using different middleware types and advertised using different discovery protocols. Client application needs to adopt a flexible approach to discover and bind these services. Compared with other related work, this paper presents a new reflective coordination middleware based on mobile agent. It dynamically adapts both its binding and discovery protocol to allow interoperation with heterogeneous services by uploading different functional components. By dynamically creating subagents at run time, it can interoperate with multiple services in parallel. As a result, the client burden is released, and the efficiency of the coordination process is enhanced.

After spinal cord injury (SCI), endogenous neural stem cells are activated and migrate to the injury site where they differentiate into astrocytes, but they rarely differentiate into neurons. It is difficult for brain-derived information to be transmitted through the injury site after SCI because of the lack of neurons that can relay neural information through the injury site, and the functional recovery of adult mammals is difficult to achieve. The development of bioactive materials, tissue engineering, stem cell therapy, and physiotherapy has provided new strategies for the treatment of SCI and shown broad application prospects, such as promoting endogenous neurogenesis after SCI. In this review, we focus on novel approaches including tissue engineering, stem cell technology, and physiotherapy to promote endogenous neurogenesis and their therapeutic effects on SCI. Moreover, we explore the mechanisms and challenges of endogenous neurogenesis for the repair of SCI.

Automatic scoring of English interpretations is a technology that evaluates content accuracy and pronunciation. The technology is of great practical significance for English interpreting tests. This paper uses DNN-HMM speech recognition to evaluate the interpretations of English translators. Post-probabilistic features of phonemes to the speech vector are decoded in the sub-recognition framework. The correlation between posterior probability and manual scoring is analyzed. The calculation of a posterior probability feature depends highly on recognition performance. To improve recognition performance, a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) is used to construct speech recognition models. Through comparison experiments, results show that the correlation between the RNN model’s scoring method and manual scoring is 0.781. The recognition accuracy of the RNN model is 0.923 on the training set and 0.915 on the test set. The posterior probability error of the RNN model is 0.028 for the training set and 0.033 for the test set. Therefore, the RNN structure has more reasonable and scientific scoring performance in automatic English interpretation.
Semi-quantum Key Distribution Protocol Based on Bell States

A quantum key distribution protocol with traditional Bob has been proposed recently by Boyer et al. using single-particle state. In this paper, a semi-quantum key distribution protocol is described, in which Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) pairs of particles are utilized to generate a secret key in remote places. This extends the quantum key distribution protocol with traditional Bob where the single-qubit channel is replaced by the entangled EPR-pair channel. And quantum Alice is able to do any quantum operations, preparing quantum states and performing quantum measurement, but traditional Bob is not able to prepare and measure a particle in the computational basis, reflect the particles. Furthermore, entanglement states are used in our protocol. The analysis shows that our protocol is secure, which can avoid the beam splitter attack automatically, and the proposed protocol is more efficient than Boyer’s scheme.
Effects of ratio of mixed gases on the surface roughness and nano-hardness of a-C:H films

Methane-argon mixed gases were used for assistance in growing hydrogenated amorphous-carbon a-C:H) films. a-C:H films on p-type (100) silicon wafers were produced by middle frequency unbalanced magnetron sputtering technique at different ratios of the methane-argon gases. These films were characterized by atomic-force microscopy, nanoindentation, and Raman spectroscopy. The experimental results reveal that the nano-hardness and surface roughness of the films increase with increasing Ar concentration from 17% to 50%, while they decreased when the Ar concentration was above 50\%. The sp³/sp² ratio increases with increasing Ar concentration from 17% to 50%, but it decreased when the Ar concentration exceeded 50%, based on the results of the measurements of Raman spectroscopy. Because of the limited capability of mobile devices and lower bandwidth of wireless network, Web-based e-commerce in mobile wireless environments suffers more challenges and it needs an efficient and reliable mechanism to support the process. This paper presents a flexible and configurable mechanism, which uses mobile agents as brokers of mobile device to communicate with Web server, thus to reduce the unnecessary wireless communication costs of mobile client. It can also facilitate mobile device recovery back when suffering a failure to increase the reliability of the whole application process. Compared with other mechanisms through performance analysis, our mechanism shows its efficiency and reliability.
