        Total internal reflections is discussed theoretically for two polarized electromagnetic waves. The polarized waves are incident on a prism which are placed in non-contact with another prism so that narrow air gap exists between two prisms comparable to the wavelength of incident wave. Adjustment of air gap or deilectric layer leads to the variation of transmittance based on the electromagnetic theory.

        The detailed phenomenon of total internal reflection, Goos-Hanken shift, is discussed based on electromagnetic theory when two prisms are separated in narrow gap comparable to the wavelength of incident electromagnetic wave. The shift is quite important to estimate the optical properties of materials and thus it can be applied to enhance the performance of simple devices such as microscope, optic communication and optoelectronics.

      • 밑면이 가열된 五方形 空間내의 熱對流에 관한 數値解析

        The theoretical study addresses the nature of motions and heat transfer in confined rectangular enclosure heated from below and colled on the top simultaneously subject to themal wall conditions that the side walls are insulated or cooled alternately. Also the flow dynamics and the characteristics of convective performance are argued in the numerical scheme by using Grashof no. and Reynolds no. as variable parameters according to the moving conditions in which the natural convections are discussed for fixed condition and the forced and mixed convection also discussed for moving wall at constant speed. It is envisaged that follows below The circulation velocity caused by the buoyant effects exhibits the tendency toward increasing at low Reynolds no., especially this trend is obvious near Re=100. As Re no. is increased, the vortexflow produced at the corners in the low part is inclined to develop thus reduce heat transfer, especially this phenomenon turns to be clear by the advancement of multi-cell at Gr=10^5 and Re=400∼500. The vortex also occurs in the corner under the natural convection, however the effects of the eddy on the heat transfer seems to be more insignificant than in the forced and mixed case. It is also shown that the point at which heat transports best tends to shift from right to left as Re no. is increased, and the reduction of heat transfer neighbouring the wall side is remarkable inproportion to Grashof number.

      • 이차원 영상을 이용한 물체의 삼차원 좌표구현

        We need a whole processing to extract object's informations in the image. So, useful informations were found to use any operators with contrast to object's informations that are transformed to numerical informations. Generally, image processing is dealt with two-dimensional informations are not able to extract the depth-cue information, because it has only Hue, Saturation, Intensity informations. Thus, we need to use three- dimensional information so to extract to exactly object's informations. For the depth-cue information, theoretical methods with disparity are binocular disparity, monocular disparity, shade disparity and time-delay disparity, the other experimental methods with embodiment are Red-Blue polarization, othorgonal polarization, lenticular polarization and parallax barrier. In this paper, binocular disparity is discussed in theoretical methods to extract the depth-cue information. The depth-cue informations are obtained with image processing techniques such as modified modified Canny edge detect method, edge, edge pairs, coordinate pairs and dynamic programming. Also, we presented new method so that it could use to exact object's information with only edge informations in the case that disparity values are not well known.

      • 고출력 펄스 레이저로 증착된 유기필름

        유기발광 응용에 성공적으로 사용되어 새로운 물질을 개발할 때 기준으로 사용되는 Alq_3와 TPD필름을 기존의 증착법(열증착법과 스핀코터 기술)을 대체할 수 있는 고출력펄스레이저로 합성하였다. 펠릿 타겟은Q-스위칭 Nd:YAG 레이저의 532 nm와 355 nm를 사용하여 2&10^-6 Torr압력 하에서 용발시킨다. 슬라이드 유리 위에 증착된 필름은 유기발광 디바이스에 사용될 가능성이 있는지 알기 위해 다음과 같은 조사를 하였다: PL,AFM, 흡수 스펙트라, XRD. 355 nm 레이저로 유기필름을 증착하면 532 nm 경우의 필름보다 결합이 적고, 특히 열증착 필름보다 스트레스를 덜 받는다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 또한 타겟의 구조가 Alq_3 다를지라도 레이저 증착법으로 합성된 Alq_3 필름은 열증착과 동일한 구조를 갖는다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 어느 레이저를 사용하건 증착된 필름은 결정구조를 확인할 수 없을 정도로 비정질을 이룬다는 사실을 알 수 있다.

        불어권 카나다 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 카나다 불어권 지역, 즉 퀘벡의 문화에 대한 포괄적이고 기초적인 지식을 확립하는 데 있다. 퀘벡은 주변 영어문화권으로부터 받는 끊임없는 동화의 위협에도 불구하고 자신들 고유의 불어권 문화를 형성, 발전시킴으로써 세계 문화 구도 속에서 독특한 위치를 차지하고 있으며, 퀘벡의 역사는 문화적, 사회적, 정치적 변화 속에서 자신들만의 독특한 정체성을 형성하기 위한 퀘벡인들의 노력이 어떠한 것이었던가를 잘 보여준다. 따라서 본 연구는 카나다 불어권을 역사, 정치, 경제, 예술, 언어의 다섯 분야로 나누어 탐구함으로써 이 지역이 갖는 특수성을 보다 잘 이애하고자 하였다. 특히 다음의 사항이 주된 연구 대상이 되었다. 주요 연구대상은 카나다 불어의 역사, 문화 생활에 불어의 사용이 끼친 영향, 이중언어주의, 현재의 퀘벡의 경제상항, 다원문화주의, 문화의식과 정치의식과의 상관성, 카나다의 미래 등이었다. 이러한 연구들 통해 우리는 퀘벡이 다른 문화권들과의 관계 속에서 자신의 독자성을 잃지 않으려는 끊임없는 노력을 보여주는 동시에 '다양성 속의 통일성'이라는 자신의 궁극적 목표에 다가서려는 노력도 잃지 않는 독자적인 문화권임을 알 수 있었다. Le but de cette etude est d'etablir les connaissances preliminaires et globales sur la culture du Quebec, region francophone du Canada. Cette region a un statut particulier dans la culture mondiale; comme un petit ilot francophone entoure d'une mer anglophone, le Quebec a toujours eu la volonte de sauvegarder son identite specifique, a travers les aleas d'une histoire agitee, parfois perilleuse meme. Portant notre attension sur cette specificite, nous avons essaye d'examiner la francophonie canadienne en cinq domaines : celui de l'histoire, de la politique, de l'economie, de l'art et de la langue. Notre reflexion s'est penchee surtout sur les questions suivantes: - l'evolution du francaise au Canada a travers les siecles - l'impact de l'usage du francais sur la vie culturelle - la situation actuelle du bilinguisme canadien - la conscience identitaire des francophones canadiens - la situation actuelle economique du Quebec - Le pluriculturalisme et le modele canadien par rapport au modele americain - leur resonnance dans la conscience cuturelle et politique - l'impasse constitutionnelle et la conscience politique des Canadiens - le Canada, quel avenir? Ce faisant, nous avons pu constater que le Quebec est une region culturelle independante s'efforcant a maintenir son identite specifique dans les relations complexes avec les autre communautes culturelles et a atteindre son but essentiel : "la diversite dans l'unit".

        Lately, electronics industries manufacture electronic products in cooperation between mother companies producing finished goods and sub-contractors delivering parts to them. So, in electronics industries, not only are the manufacturing activities of mother companies important but also are the manufacturing activities of sub-contractors supplying various components to their customers important. With this environment, it is difficult to survive in the global competitions not only for the parts suppliers but also for the customers being supplied with parts by their part sub-contractors. But, it is getting specialized so the customers could not survive without their sub-contractors. So, the customers need to consider their suppliers as their extended production lines and introduce a comprehensive safety management support system to prevent industrial accidents by implementing systematic safely management support activities.

      • 磁石중 金屬元素의 含量調査 및 各臟器의 蓄積現象에 關한 硏究

        "Studies on the accumulation phenomenon of metal elements in rats, and the examination of the contents of metal elements in magnetite." An examination was made on the contents and kinds of metals in magnetite and on the amount of heavy metals in the internal organs when administered to a rat. It was found to contain about 32.8% iron, about 1% copper, and very small amounts of lead, and cadmium respectively. After magnitite was administered to a rat, using a control group for comparison, the contents of heavy metal in the organs was apt to increase. Test results showed the following effects: 1) Iron increased rapidly in the liver after a week but after two to three weeks, didn't show any tendency to increase. Iron increased slowly in the kidneys. 2) Copper increased in the liver and the kidneys, but it didn't increase in the lungs. 3) Lead also increased in the organs slowly. 4) Cadmium was detected in the organs, but tests did not confirm a rapid accumulation.

        A study was made to determine the contents and the kinds of metals in, so called, the Native Copper, it has been used for a long time as an oriental medicine. It was found to contain about 52.03% Iron, about 2.22% copper, 0.07% Zinc, 0.05% Lead, and small amount of Na, and calcium in the Native copper as it is. However, in the Native copper prepared for prescription it was found to contain about 56.8% Iron, about 2.6% copper, 0.06% Zinc, 0.04% Lead respectively.

      • Indomethacin Lysinate의 藥劑學的 硏究

        Pharmaceutical Studies on Indomethacin lysinate At the present time, a major problem in the management of inflammatory and degenerative arthritis has been found in anti-inflammatory analgesic drug which combines potency with safety. Furthermore, the will-established agents in current use, including salicylates, corticosteroids, phenylbutazone, and ketoprofen, have ulcergenic properties as well as other serious toxic or side effects while the efficacy of other, safer drugs such as ibuprofen has been questioned. Considering these problems, indomethacin, 1-(p-chloro benzoyl)-5-methoxy-2-methyl-3-indolyl acetic acid which is a first non steroidal antiinflammatory drug has many advantages in pharmaceutical efficacy to the above drugs and has been used all over the world. But, according to reports, indomethacin is not well tolerated by patients and has a very high incidence of side effects and toxic reactions. In particular, overt gastrointestinal bleeding has been reported. The physical properties of indomethacin make difficulties in preparing of pharmaceutical preparations because of its water insolubility. In order to make soluble in water, indomethacin was made as lysine salt, such as acetylsalicylic acid lysine salt, ibuprofen lysine salt, ketoprofen lysine salt and amino acid salt of phenylbutazone. The purposes of this study was to make a comparison between indomethacin and indomethaein lysine salt in aspects of analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic effect and blood concentration. The experimental results were summerized as followings. 1. Indomethacin lysinate was composed of one molecule of indomethacin and one molecule of lysine. The product which lyophilized was water soluble and melting point was 223℃. 2. Indomethacin lysinate showed about 2 times stronger analgesic effect than that of indomethacin. 3. In antipyretic effect, it was found that the body temperature of rabbit returned to normal after 3 hours in indomethacin while after 1 hour in indomethacin lysinate. 4. Indomethacin lysinate showed about 10% stronger anti-inflammatory effect than that of indomethacin and continued as same pattern until 5 hours later. 5. LD_50 of indomethacin lysinate was 1.8mg/kg higher than that of indomethacin, suggesting indomethacin lysinate as safer drug. 6. Indomethacin lysinate showed 99% dissolution rate in H_2O, 95% in pH 7.2 buffer solution while it showed 20% dissolution rate in pH 4.2 buffer solution. 7. In isolated intestinal absorption test, indomethacin lysinate showed about 20-30% higher absorption rate until 3 hours later than that of indomethacin. 8. Elimination rate constant of indomethacin lysinate was shown as 0.016 in I. V. injection while that of indomethacin was 0.023. Indomethacin lysinate showed higher remaining plasma concentration until 50 minutes later than that of indomethacin. 9. Blood concentration of indomethacin lysinate was 2~3 times higher than that of indomethacin in oral administration and continued as same pattern until 3 hours later. Both drugs, indomethacin and indomethacin lysinate showed pick level plasma concentration after 2 hours in oral administration. 10. Blood concentration of indomethacin lysinate was higher than that of indomethacin until 80 minutes later in I.M. injection. From the above results, it can be concluded that lysine salt of indomethacin is less potent, more effective, safer drug than indomethacin itself.
